Chapter 68: Elyndor Academy [4]
Noah just nodded and then said, "So she has high cultivation, but what about her mastery over her element? What element does she even use?"
Adam answered, "Her mastery over her element is high." Then he looked at Asher and said, "But it is still behind this idiot’s if we compare the two of them. At least it was last year when I last met her, and she also uses one of the rare elements, just like him."
Noah looked at Adam and asked with interest, "So what element does she use?"
Aria answered that question, "She uses the Wood Element. She can control trees and their growth, and she has also signed a contract with a Water Spirit of the same rank as her."
Noah’s eyes widened slightly after hearing that.
"A Water Spirit of the same rank?" he asked in surprise. "That means her combat power should be much higher than her actual cultivation rank."
Aria nodded and said, "It is. A Spirit Contractor can fight together with their contracted spirit, and the stronger the bond between them, the stronger they become."
Adam added, "That Water Spirit alone would be enough to defeat most cultivators of the same rank."
Noah looked impressed and said, "Then she really deserves her reputation."
Aria nodded again.
"She does."
Asher just looked at Adam and asked, "Do you guys fight each other whenever you meet at noble gatherings? Nobles are really weird. It’s good that I never attended one of those gatherings."
Adam looked at Asher and sighed. "This is the first question you wanted to ask after learning about her? You do know that we will probably fight her in the upcoming exam."
Asher just looked at him and said, "Why care about that girl? I will not even meet her again after this trip ends."
Asher then took out a juice from his subspace and continued, "As for the exam, we don’t even know what it is, so why worry about it? If we even meet her in the exam, we will just fight her. No use overthinking about it."
Adam and Noah did not say anything else, knowing it would mean nothing to argue with him, and started focusing on eating their food.
Meanwhile, Aria had already finished her dinner.
Then she looked at Asher and said, "Give me one of those apple-flavoured juices and also a vanilla ice cream."
Asher just looked at her and then took out an apple juice and a vanilla ice cream from his subspace and gave them to her.
Aria took them and then said, "Thanks."
Asher stopped drinking his juice and said, "You’re welcome."
Adam and Noah looked at their exchange, and then Noah looked at Asher and said, "Hey, give me one too. I want a mango-flavoured one."
Asher then gave a mango-flavoured one to him as well.
Then he said, "Just carry it in your storage if you really like it that much. I’m not a vending machine, you know."
Adam looked at him and said, "Yeah, you’re not. You’re a freaking supermarket."
Asher then looked at him and said, "Maybe I should just start charging you guys for these things."
After Asher said this, Noah looked at Adam as if he wanted to beat him.
Adam looked at Noah and said, "He is just joking, and even if he did start charging, I would pay for you, so stop looking at me like that."
Asher reached his room, took out his own bed from his subspace, and then fell asleep without a care.
Next Day
Tuesday
Asher’s Room
Asher was sleeping on his bed when he slowly opened his eyes and looked at the time on his mobile.
It was 6:30 in the morning.
After getting out of bed, he took a bath, then changed into his Academy uniform.
Then he left his room at 7:30 and headed to the cafeteria to have breakfast.
In the cafeteria, he met up with his teammates and had breakfast with them.
After finishing their breakfast,
Asher looked at Noah and asked, "So where is the classroom where we are supposed to take classes?"
Noah looked at him and said, "Don’t you also have a map? Just look at it."
Asher replied in a flat tone, "Did you forget that I am bad with directions?"
Noah had a look of realization and said, "Sorry, I almost forgot about that."
Aria just looked at him and said, "I think you are just too lazy to look at the map."
Asher did not say anything and just stayed silent.
Aria also did not say anything further.
Then they all left for the classroom, where the classes of Elyndor Academy’s S-Class students and Aetherium Academy’s S-Class students would both be held.
The classroom was about a 10-minute walk away from their accommodations.
While heading toward the classroom, they saw many students from Elyndor Academy looking at them. Some looked at them with curiosity, while others looked down on them. The younger generations of other species always thought they were superior to humans, and that was often true because having a stronger body or higher senses make you stronger, but once someone reached the Master Rank, that things became insignificant.
After reaching the Master Rank, it was one’s control, will, and mastery over their element that determined their strength, not their species.
Asher’s group ignored all the gazes directed at them and continued walking toward the classroom.
After walking for 10 minutes, they finally reached the classroom.
The classroom was much larger than the ones at Aetherium Academy.
It was probably because more students would be studying in this room, so the Academy must have specially reserved it for occasions like this.
It was designed to accommodate more than a hundred students at the same time.
When Asher’s group entered the classroom, many students were already present.
Most of them were students from Elyndor Academy.
The moment Asher’s group entered the classroom, many eyes turned toward them.
