Chapter 60: Asher GF?
As soon as Aria said that, everyone looked at her.
Noah looked at Aria and said, "With his personality? Of course it’s impossible."
Adam nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Forget dating, I can’t even imagine him having a normal conversation with a girl without saying something weird."
Asher looked at her for a moment, then took out a packet of juice and extended it toward her.
"Here, take this," he said. "It’s blueberry juice. It’s good for the brain."
For a moment, the cafeteria table went completely silent.
Aria slowly looked at the juice packet in Asher’s hand, then back at him.
Noah immediately turned away and covered his mouth, trying desperately not to laugh.
Adam lowered his head and held his forehead as if he had just witnessed something painful.
"...And he proved our point again," Adam muttered.
Asher frowned slightly. "What did I even say wrong?"
Noah finally failed to hold back his laughter.
"You seriously gave her blueberry juice after she hinted that maybe someone could like you someday?" he said between laughs. "How are you this hopeless?"
Asher looked at Adam.
Then he calmly replied, "She said something stupid, so I gave her something good for the brain. That seems reasonable."
The moment he said that, Noah almost slammed the table from laughing too hard.
Even Adam could not stop himself from smiling.
Aria, however, simply stared at Asher silently for a few seconds.
Then she accepted the juice from his hand.
"Thank you," she said calmly before taking a sip.
Asher simply replied calmly, "You’re welcome," while taking out another one for himself and starting to drink it.
Adam looked at them with a strange expression. Then he leaned toward Noah’s ear and said in a low voice, "I think we should submit an application to change teams, or we’ll end up becoming weird like those two."
Noah looked at him and replied in a low tone, "Nah, I’m good staying on this team. I don’t want to fight against that monster."
At the thought of fighting against Asher, Adam immediately discarded any thoughts of changing teams.
After finishing her juice, Aria asked, "So what was the real reason you smiled like that after looking at your mobile?"
Asher replied, "I just received the compensation I requested from Cedric’s family."
Adam raised an eyebrow at this and asked, "What did you ask for?"
Asher replied calmly, "Nothing much, just early access to the new virtual reality game they’re developing in cooperation with the Velmora family."
Other three did not even react much to this, they were already used to his obsession over food and game so it was normal.
Aria looked at him and said, "I only knew my family was cooperating with the Silvermere family, but I never thought it was for a game."
Asher looked at her and replied, "Of course you didn’t know, since you never cared enough to investigate it. But I always keep track of new games, and this one will be the best of all time, with an open world and human-like NPCs. I can’t wait to play it."
Asher then continued "We should play it together, it will be fun"
Adam and Noah shook their head and said "We are not playing with you ever again".
After that, they continued talking about the game, and before long, lunch came to an end.
One week later.
The past week had gone by peacefully without any trouble as they continued attending classes.
S-Class classroom.
Students were either talking with their friends or studying theory.
Soon, the classroom door opened and Elisa entered the room.
As soon as she entered, everyone returned to their seats and became silent.
Elisa then looked at them and said, "Starting tomorrow, you will have your first theoretical exams of the first semester, and these will affect your final results, so prepare as best as you can. These exams will continue throughout the whole week, and the timetable for your subjects is available on the Academy website. I’m sure most of you already know about this, since it was released on the website a week ago and you have already started preparing for it."
Then she stopped and looked at Asher, who had a bored expression, before continuing,
"This last-day announcement is for those who were too lazy to check the website or simply do not care about it."
As soon as she finished speaking, several students subconsciously glanced toward Asher.
Asher, however, remained completely calm as if the comment had nothing to do with him.
Noah leaned slightly toward him and whispered, "She was definitely talking about you."
Asher replied calmly, "I know."
Elisa then continued, "After the theoretical exams are over, all first-year students will go to Elyndor Academy and stay there for two weeks while attending classes with their students. And don’t think of this as just a trip; your practical exams will also be held there during the last four days."
At this announcement, everyone became excited, even though they already knew that all first-year students would attend Elyndor Academy.
Asher did not show much reaction to this and instead began thinking about Elyndor Academy.
Elyndor Academy was an academy similar to Aetherium Academy, but unlike Aetherium Academy, where only humans studied magic, Elyndor Academy was specially made for elves, dwarves, and other demi-human races.
And the reason for having separate academies was not racism.
It was because of the differences between races.
Every race had different qualities and different methods of learning.
Most humans learned elements, trained them, and gradually reached higher mastery over them before advancing to higher ranks such as Master and Grandmaster.
Elves, on the other hand, were naturally far more compatible with mana than humans.
Their sensitivity toward natural mana and elements was extremely high, allowing them to learn magic much faster during the early stages.
More importantly, elves could also form contracts with spirits.
Spirits were special lifeforms born from pure elemental mana, and they could greatly increase the strength of the person they acknowledged.
