Chapter 100: Alone[15]

Asher replied calmly, "It was me. Why? What happened? Why are you shouting like that?"

Every healer in the room turned towards Asher, whose whole body was almost stained with blood and who was missing one eye. He looked like a monster.

They all felt anger towards him for hurting Princess Roselia to such a state, as well as fear when they looked at Asher.

Then one of the healers said, "Stop talking for now. First, let’s focus on healing the students."

Asher looked around the room and noticed that none of the healers were coming towards him.

Even though his whole body was covered in blood and he was missing one eye, all of them ignored him and focused on treating the others.

Some of them were still angry at him for hurting Princess Roselia to such a state, while others were simply afraid of him.

After all, the current Asher looked more like a monster than a student.

Blood was still dripping from his wounds, yet not a single healer stepped forward to heal him.

Seeing this, Asher didn’t say anything and simply stood there quietly.

The room was filled with healing magic and hurried voices as the healers moved from one injured student to another.

But none of them came towards Asher.

As if he wasn’t even there.

Walter noticed this and said, "What is the meaning of this? Why is no one healing him?"

Then one of the healers said in an angry voice, "There is no way we will heal someone who injured the Princess to such a state."

As soon as he said that, Walter released his Immortal Rank presence.

As soon as Walter released his Immortal Rank presence, the entire room fell silent.

A terrifying pressure descended upon everyone present.

The healers who had been busy treating the students suddenly froze in place, their faces turning pale.

But before the healers could say anything, Asher suddenly started laughing.

"Hahaha!"

Then he said calmly, "Yeah, that’s right. You don’t want to heal me? Okay, your choice. I don’t care."

After saying that, Asher took out a potion from his subspace. It was a Mana Recovery Potion.

He immediately drank the potion and then said, "It still tastes terrible."

After recovering his fully depleted mana, his wounds suddenly started glowing with a green light.

To the shock of everyone present, the wounds all over his body began healing at a visible speed.

Even the eye he had lost started regenerating.

Within moments, all of his injuries had completely disappeared, as if they had never existed in the first place.

Asher then took out his mobile and looked at the time. It was 9:51 PM. The exam was supposed to end tomorrow afternoon, but everyone had already been eliminated, so the test had effectively ended. At the test site, there was no night and it was always daytime because that area had been designed that way.

Then Asher noticed that every healer was looking at him.

But Asher simply ignored them and said to Walter, who was also staring at him, "It’s time for a good night’s sleep, so I’m going to bed. Is there anything you want to discuss before I go?"

Walter’s expression turned grave as he said, "You caused this much trouble, and now you have the audacity to go sleep peacefully?"

Walter then looked at Roselia, who was being treated.

Asher followed his gaze and said, "This type of injury happens to everyone. What’s wrong with that? If she can’t even handle that much, then she should just stay home and play with her dolls or whatever girls do to pass the time—I don’t know."

Every Elven healer present became even angrier after hearing this, but none of them said anything in Walter’s presence.

Walter sighed because, in a way, it was true. However, it was still going to be troublesome dealing with the Elf Royal Family, and this incident would also affect their house’s relationship with the Elves. He then looked at Leon, who was still trembling while receiving treatment.

Asher looked at Leon and said, "Oh yeah, about that—you can start thinking about what compensation the Church should provide me for their little hero trying to kill me."

Walter looked at Asher and said, "What compensation? If I hadn’t arrived in time, he would have died for sure."

Asher looked back at Walter and replied with a smile, "Yeah, that’s right. He tried to kill me first but couldn’t, and I survived on my own. But when I did the same thing, someone else came to save him, and he survived too. If you really think about this whole thing, I’m the one who should be getting compensation."

The room fell silent.

For a moment, nobody knew how to respond to Asher’s logic. It was twisted, unreasonable, and yet annoyingly difficult to completely refute.

Walter rubbed his forehead.

"That’s not how compensation works."

"It should be," Asher replied immediately.

Then Asher said, "About that, you can talk to my father. Don’t interrupt me, who is an innocent victim of attempted murder."

Every healer looked at Asher and had the same thought.

’In what way are you a victim?’

However, none of them voiced their thoughts.

Asher then simply teleported out of the room and directly to his own room using the mark he had left there for instant teleportation.

After reaching his room, Asher first went to the bathroom and took a bath. He then changed into clean clothes and threw away the ones that had been stained with sweat and blood.

After that, Asher simply fell onto his bed and thought,

"What an annoying day it was. Now it’s time to sleep peacefully."

Meanwhile, in the healing room...

Aelar and Elisa arrived and looked at the condition of Celestine, Roselia, and Leon.

Although their physical injuries had been healed, they had suffered a wound that no spell could heal—the trauma they had gained after facing Asher during this test.

Leon had felt death standing just a step away from him, and there had been nothing he could do to stop it.

Celestine was still in shock over everything that had happened during the test.

As for Roselia, she had her pride destroyed that was everything for her.
