She couldn’t stop crying, tears streaming down her face.
Deep down, she had known for a long time that something was wrong with this family.
For example, her mother-in-law who favored boys over girls, her indifferent father-in-law who just watched from the sidelines, and her mama’s boy of a husband who was always impatient with her.
She remembered how her mother-in-law, under the guise of looking out for her, had taken her for numerous check-ups.
