Chapter 447: Chapter 449: Childless Fate
The woman’s body stiffened, her back straightening involuntarily.
Her voice was halting, on the verge of breaking down. "Impossible, impossible!"
Su Nian remained calm. Instead, she asked, "Why is it impossible? Have you really not noticed anything wrong?"
The woman’s eyes darted around evasively, her tone wavering. "No, I haven’t noticed anything wrong."
Su Nian picked up the peach again and took a bite.
For a moment, no one spoke. An awkward atmosphere filled the air.
Hearing Su Nian’s counter-question, the woman’s heart skipped a beat. An indescribable fear began to spread through her.
She wasn’t a fool. Like most young people, she was skeptical about this sort of thing, but she had also watched many of Su Nian’s livestreams.
Some people she knew had even come to the Daoist Temple for readings, and not a single one of them failed to praise Su Nian’s uncanny accuracy.
Thinking about how Su Nian had never been wrong, the woman’s panic grew.
’Is someone in my family really trying to harm me?’
She cleared her throat. "I really haven’t paid much attention! My mother-in-law has been a little unusual, but it’s all normal. She only gets like this after an accident!"
[I feel like her attitude is a bit strange!]
[Can you stop hyping her up? It’s obvious she’s a plant for the streamer!]
[This is definitely fake. I’m calling it now, there’s gonna be a twist later!]
[It’s not fake, that’s my friend!]
Seeing the woman still defending her family even now, a cold glint flashed in Su Nian’s eyes.
"If you think it’s normal, why did it immediately come to mind?"
Deep down, she already knew.
Su Nian lifted her chin. She was exquisitely beautiful. A half-smile played on her lips, but her eyes were cold and indifferent. She had a complex, unapproachable aura.
For a moment, the woman didn’t dare to meet her gaze and had to turn her head away.
She didn’t forget to retort, "I just happened to think of it, that’s all. They’re my family. How could I possibly suspect them!"
Su Nian shook her head, took the woman’s hand, and continued her reading.
Even someone as composed as her was a little surprised.
This woman was quite a case; she was fated to be childless.
’But all her bodily functions are clearly normal?’
’Then it must have been caused by external factors.’
’And this husband of hers... tsk, just a total coward.’
Su Nian changed the subject. She stopped talking about the child and instead brought up the woman’s husband.
"You started dating your boyfriend in middle school. You were together for ten years, and you married a few years after graduating from college."
It’s just that during those ten years, her boyfriend cheated on her over thirty times, on and off, and she always chose to either forgive him or pretend she didn’t know.
[Whoa, childhood sweethearts!]
[Do all city people play this hard?]
[No wonder she trusts her husband so much. Who wouldn’t after all that time!]
[Ten years! What kind of fairytale romance is this!]
When the woman heard Su Nian bring up the husband with whom she had such a deep history, there wasn’t a trace of happiness in her expression. Instead, her eyes filled with embarrassment, and she hurriedly tried to change the subject.
"It’s nothing special, we just lasted a long time."
There was a hint of sarcasm in Su Nian’s eyes. ’Lasted a long time is right,’ she thought. ’Long enough to be cheated on endlessly.’
"Please, let’s just talk about the child."
Su Nian blinked. "It’s already very obvious. It’s your dear husband, colluding with your dear in-laws, who are harming you."
[Huh????]
[I didn’t hear that wrong, did I?!]
[What the hell? This really is just a bunch of nonsense. I can’t believe I actually bought it for a second!]
[All I can say is, this plant and this con artist are both amazing actors!]
The woman went rigid, her eyes widening into circles.
’No way.’
’How could that be possible!’
But a voice in the bottom of her heart told her that Su Nian wasn’t lying.
Her thoughts began connecting the details from the past. Their actions hadn’t been very clever; with just a little reflection, the truth was already crystal clear.
The woman couldn’t hold it in anymore and suddenly burst into tears.
"I knew something was wrong, but I just love him so much! What else could I do but forgive him?!"
