With Baroness Weiss Souran’s insane show off, the gift demonstration for the baron’s came to an end. And next, it was time for the viscounts to do their best.
For this round, all the viscounts were in a very sad and depressed mood. That was because there was no way their gifts were going to stand out after Weiss’s insane demonstration.
The barons were actually lucky and had managed to save their skin as Weiss went last. But there was no way for the viscounts to withstand the effect of that.
That was why, even though the gift that the first viscount had prepared was better than all the barons except for the top two, he got no reaction from the crowd.
He was gifting the marquis a very rare liquor from a foreign nation. Even though this liquor was not completely unavailable in the Brightshine kingdom, but it definitely was rare. This viscount had to even call in a few favours to get his hands on this.
He had really hoped to become the centre of attention in this party with this and for even the marquis to be satisfied with his offering. But that did not end up happening.
Actually, this viscount was quite unlucky. Normally, the marquis liked alcohol quite a bit so he would definitely have said a few words to him because of this gift.
But just a few days ago, after raiding the warehouse of the enemy dark orginisation, the Sparrow’s Nest had discovered more than ten bottles of this same alcohol. So obviously the Marquis was not very moved by getting his hands on another bottle of the same thing.
Still, the marquis definitely would have said something to show everyone that this was the kind of gift that he personally liked. But tonight, he did not do even that.
And the reason for that was simple. Marquis Skepa was currently very distracted because of the new gift that he had just gotten.
The more he looked at the coat, the happier he felt. He really really liked this. From the material to how comfortable it was, everything about this coat was perfect. The Marquis was truly feeling like immediately going for a hunt or even to start a war to test the coat out in a real fight.
So with these kinds of thoughts and day dreams, he was definitely spacing out a little bit. And that was how he miss the alcohol and did not pay much attention to it.
The rest of the gifts were of similar value. So just like the first one, they received very little attention. But even then, there were a few stand out one among the viscounts.
Those ones were giving more than one gift just like Weiss. Obviously the Marquis was always going to get one as the family head, but those few viscounts prepared special gifts for a some of the wives to thank them.
And this thank you was not about the getting the opportunity to fuck them. The nobles could do that without even giving any gifts. So this thank you was because these wives had made some kind of business or political deal with them on their personal capacity.
These gifts were quite good ones but just like the marquis himself, his wives were also way too excited about the gifts given by Weiss and they had started to already plan what kind of dresses they were going to make after meeting with the talented dress designer.
Because of this reason, the personalised gifts were also not given much attention by the ladies. Which was obviously a very disappointing result for the viscounts.
Normally, in a situation like that, the viscounts would become very angry about the baroness Souran who responsible for this mess. But that did not happen.
The reason for this was simple. At the end of the day, most of the nobles were very pragmatic. So after Weiss had shown them how insane her financial strength was, instead of getting jealous about this, the nobles thought that becoming the baroness’s partner and profiting from her wealth was the best course of action.

After the end of the viscounts, next it was time for the counts, who were without a doubt the highest ranking nobles present in the party other than the host who was a higher ranking Marquis.
And they were also not very worried about the gifts. Counts were very wealthy, had several knights under them and had a lot of connections.
So even if their gifts could not reach the same level as baroness Weiss, they were not bad by any means. And most of the counts were going to give several gifts anyways.
So after the gift demonstration of baroness Weiss Souran, this was the was the most exciting part of tonight’s party. And the counts did not disappoint.
Even Weiss was impressed by some of the gifts. For example, one of the counts had managed to tame a young bear beast which had a very high chance of naturally becoming a monster in one or two decades and even the opportunity to reach higher level than this.
From this, Weiss was quite impressed. Most of the count families were ancient and they controlled a very large amount of territory. So it made perfect sense that their financial strength was very robust.
From this demonstration and her extremely powerful senses, Weiss identified the counts who were not doing super well.
This was actually comparative. For a count to not do well, it basically meant that he or she was earning less than their regular amount. But even this lesser amount was much much bigger than what most viscounts earned.
So Weiss was planning to target them and see if they could work out some kind of deals. These kinds of counts would be more desparate than the ones who were doing perfectly fine, so they were most likely to sign even if the deal was a little disadvantageous to them.
So this was how the first day of the party came to an end and the second day filled with negotiations and discussions was definitely going to be quite interesting for Weiss and the other nobles too.
