Chapter 207: Ch 207: The Gift Demonstration (4)

The baroness Souran was not giving just a single gift to the Skepa family but a total of 13 different gifts and each one of them was addressed to a member of the Skepa Household.

This kind of practice was common for the high ranking nobles but normally, low ranking ones did not do something like this.

It was not because they were not allowed to but because normally, a low ranking noble could not afford to do something like this which would cost thousands of gold coins.

But Weiss was definitely not a normal baron rank noble. So even though the nobles were surprised for a second, they very soon released that this was something very normal for her to do.

It was clear that the Skepa family and the Baroness Souran had a very very close relationship. So it made perfect sense that she would prepare individual gifts for all of them.

This realisation made the nobles to be even more enthusiastic. They were now really feeling excited about finding out what kind of things each of the Skepa family members were getting.

It was not just the nobles participating in the party who were excited about this. The recipients of the gifts themselves were also feeling very excited. They were also interested about what they were going to get.

...

So in a very excited atmosphere, the announcer brought out the first gift. It was kept inside a decorative box which earned Weiss quite a bit of praise from many nobles for being very elegant and thoughtful.

This first gift was for the Marquis himself. And after opening the box, a very high quality armoured coat was seen.

It was made mainly from the skin of a mid level crocodile like monster beast and the craftsmanship behind the item was top notch. The more dangerous parts of the body was even secured with light but very durable metals to shield them.

All in all, there was no doubt that this was an amazing piece of equipment. Even for the rich and capable Marquis himself, he did not have anything that could match the quality of this gift. So from now on, this was definitely going to be his go to battle attire.

As for the price, this coat was made from the very precious materials from a mid level monster with the use of excellent crafting techniques. So it would definitely go for several hundreds of gold coins or even over a thousand depending on the how good the design was.

So just with the first gift alone, Weiss had already managed to make everyone to take a deep breath.

...

After this, next a small box was brought up. And this gift was addressed to the Marchioness Eleanor herself.

As the box was opened, a very beautiful looking gem was seen inside. Some of the more informed people immediately noticed that there were some symbols curved inside the gems. And these symbols were very similar to what was seen in the few magic items that they had.

So this was not just a simple gem but a magic item. As for its price, it was hard to guess without knowing the effect that it had.

The price of a magic item varied greatly. There were a few that cost an ungodly amount of money but there were also some which cost only a few gold coins.

As for this item, just because it was a gem, it was going to cost hundreds of gold coins. As for what kind of effect it had, obviously the announcer did not mention it.

But from how happy the Marchioness looked, it was clear that she was extremely satisfied with this gift. So this magic item was definitely very valuable.

It was actually something that Eleanor had seen while having a chat with Weiss and very casually, she had shown a lot of interest in this. So taking this opportunity, Weiss had gifted it to her.

This had a very simple effect which was to create various simple illusions. And her plans regarding this magic item was to use it in the bedroom while having fun and to make the atmosphere more romantic and enjoyable.

...

After this, the third, fourth and fifth boxes were opened in quick successions. All of these boxes had gifts for the other three wives of the marquis.

All three of them were given some kind of accessories and a dress that suited them extremely well. These dresses were also very sexy. So there was no doubt that all of the ladies were very satisfied with the gifts.

Next, it was time for the five male heirs to get their gifts. Lance and Deo, who were first and third sons, they were given high quality weapons which was better than what they were currently using.

The intelligent second son was given a book as a gift and even though it looked a bit plain compared to others, that was actually not the case.

He had been searching for this book for a very very long time. Weiss had came to know about this from his mother and had used her connection to find the book in question. Obviously she had finished reading it before giving it away.

And the other two sons were given extremely potent healing and growth medicine. As they were training to become knights, these things were going to be extremely helpful to both of them. Weiss had already given all the sons and the daughters here custom made knight’s secret art.

Then for the final round, it was time for the three ladies to get their gifts. Elina obviously had the closest relationship with Weiss among them but the other two ladies were not in a bad term with her either.

And all of them were given a collection of various things including medicine, high quality makeup materials and some books for cooking, fashion and such things. Everything that was in this collection, they were something that the ladies loved. So they were also extremely happy about the gifts.

So just like this, the gifts that the baroness Souran had prepared turned out to be even more impressive than what the nobles here were expecting.
