Chapter 2964: Chapter 2964
Under Ye Liuyun’s leadership, the foreign races, ancient demons, and demonic clans finally dared to step onto the stage one after another.
He made it clear to everyone on the spot that these foreign races, ancient demons, and demonic clans were now allies and should be treated equally. He even sparred with several ancient demons and demonic warriors, bringing them onto the stage to showcase their strength. The matches were a mix of wins and losses, but he himself didn’t mind—nor did he fear revealing his own limitations.
This further boosted the goodwill of soldiers from other races toward him. Many members of Tang Xinyao’s Demon-Slaying Corps also took the stage to face off against the foreign races, eager to gauge their strength in advance.
Afterward, they all acknowledged that these foreign warriors were indeed formidable. Even the elite soldiers of the Vanguard Corps couldn’t match them in one-on-one combat.
Human soldiers, too, gradually realized that the foreign races generally surpassed them in strength. This deepened their respect for these allies, and they began treating them more as equals.
However, the majority of participants were still human, with fewer from the foreign races. Many of the demonic and foreign warriors found the fights unsatisfying, as they couldn’t go all out without risking lethal consequences.
Broken Horn and Black Mountain both suggested to Ye Liuyun that a separate arena be established—one where killing opponents was allowed, enabling them to fight without restraint. Seeing their determination, Ye Liuyun agreed.
Thus, another arena was set up for the demonic clans, with only one restriction: the Three-Eyed Foreign Race was barred from using their black-and-white light beams. Everything else was fair game.
This new arena quickly drew even more participants, including quite a few humans. Meanwhile, the arena Tang Xinyao had established remained intact, serving as a training ground for those who had just broken through new realms to familiarize themselves with their power.
Ye Liuyun also returned to the demonic arena, where he slew several powerful opponents. This time, he fought without holding back, unleashing his full ferocity—bloodline suppression, soul attacks, blade intent, profound energy, the power of heaven and earth, spatial manipulation, flames, lightning, and even the radiance of Buddha’s light. When truly pressed, he even tapped into the power of time.
The foreign warriors and ancient demons who had previously defeated him now realized just how terrifying Ye Liuyun could be when he went all out. Still, he avoided killing whenever possible, at most leaving his opponents severely wounded.
**"So this is his true strength!"** Tang Hao remarked in awe as he and Tang Xinyao observed the battles, taking the opportunity to assess the foreign races’ capabilities.
**"And he hasn’t even used the black-and-white light yet,"** Tang Xinyao added, equally astonished.
Upon arriving, they finally understood that the black-and-white light emanated from the third eye of the alien race.
"I heard from the soldiers that he can even summon the underworld and command an army of vengeful spirits!" Tang Hao added.
Tang Xinyao had also heard such rumors. "It’s good we came out to see this! If we had stayed within the family, we’d never have witnessed such a spectacle!"
"Exactly! With forces like these, they could sweep through entire galaxies!" Tang Hao echoed in awe.
This journey had truly broadened their horizons.
Yet, they refrained from stepping onto the arena. The battles there were too brutal—the defeated were often torn apart alive. Given their own strength, they had little confidence against such formidable opponents and had no desire to fight their own comrades in such a bloody contest.
Only the alien races and demon clans reveled in the endless combat, unshaken by the gory scenes.
Ye Liuyun and his two avatars also indulged in the thrill. Here, they could strike freely, and the ever-present threat of death sharpened their skills far more effectively than sparring with allies. It also helped solidify the breakthroughs he had recently achieved.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before the army’s preparations concluded. The arena had to be shut down as the troops began re-equipping, distributing resources, and resting before the final march.
Firepower chariots were allocated to the army commanders—one per ten thousand soldiers—while the Vanguard Regiment and the Demon-Slaying Corps each received two.
All armor was replaced with newer, higher-grade defensive gear. Weapons were exchanged voluntarily for those who wished to upgrade. Formation disks, elixirs, crystals, and other essential supplies were distributed directly to each soldier.
Ye Liuyun accompanied the army commanders, inspecting the training results of each unit and observing their formation drills.
The most impressive among them was the Demon-Slaying Corps. Though only two thousand strong, their combined formations unleashed an even more potent force of Buddhist radiance—perfect for countering the alien races.
The Vanguard Regiment had also undergone reorganization, retaining only fifteen hundred elite warriors at the Harmonization Realm. The rest were reassigned to various armies as guard units, tasked with protecting the commanders.
Now, the Vanguard Regiment had truly become an elite force—the pinnacle of the army’s might. Only a select few within the Demon-Slaying Corps could rival their strength.
The armies of the alien races and the ancient demon clans had also received the same equipment and resources, without facing any discrimination. They had initially feared being treated as cannon fodder, but to their surprise, Ye Liuyun showed them no less favor.
After inspecting the entire army, Ye Liuyun announced a final ten-day preparation period for the soldiers before the forces would march toward the alien stronghold.
With the newly acquired resources, the soldiers flocked to the trade guilds to purchase supplementary supplies tailored to their individual needs. Those unfamiliar with the equipment took advantage of the time to familiarize themselves with it.
Tang Xinyao and Tang Hao examined the massive spherical weapon they had been issued, immediately intrigued. "So, this firepower chariot is what wiped out those three noble clans?"
"Just how powerful is this thing?" Tang Hao couldn’t hide his curiosity.
Ye Liuyun then organized specialized training for the firepower chariot operators. Each chariot was assigned three teams of drivers to ensure redundancy.
While the chariot crews trained, Ye Liuyun took Tang Xinyao and Tang Hao to conquer a planet each, ensuring they had enough space worlds to store soldiers and vital supplies.
"Keep the firepower chariots and their crews inside your spatial worlds at all times—only deploy them at critical moments. And under no circumstances should they fall into enemy hands!" Ye Liuyun warned them sternly.
"Yes, sir!" the two responded in unison, already fully accustomed to military discipline.
Ten days later, the army set out on schedule. The commanders gathered their troops into their spatial worlds before Ye Liuyun collected the commanders themselves into his own. Using the Black Tower of Teleportation, they first traveled to the alien defensive line they had previously attacked. Once there, he released the commanders, and together they boarded a Spirit Cat battleship to scout the alien forces in the starry expanse.
However, upon arrival, they realized they had inadvertently crossed into the aliens’ expanded defensive perimeter.
"It seems the aliens have pushed their defensive line outward again," the commanders quickly deduced.
"We should fight our way out. Staying inside their perimeter will limit our tactical flexibility," Yu Xiaofeng immediately suggested.
"Agreed. Let the Demon-Slaying Corps lead the charge—it’ll be good training for them," Ye Liuyun decided without hesitation, ordering the Demon-Slaying Corps to spearhead the breakout from the alien encirclement.
