Chapter 2959: Chapter 2959
As soon as the planet was harvested, the first avatar immediately withdrew everyone around him into the spatial world and summoned the Spirit Cat battleship.
Tang Xinyao didn’t hesitate—she was the first to leap aboard. He could only shake his head helplessly and follow her.
*Looks like this girl is determined to stick to me!* he thought to himself.
Tang Qianyu and Tang Hao quickly boarded as well.
This time, the battleship didn’t retreat. Instead, it headed straight for the next uninhabited planet belonging to the An family. The second avatar had already harvested numerous worlds, and his foundational power had grown even stronger. Absorbing one or two more planets for refinement was now within his capabilities. There was no longer a need to flee after each harvest.
Over the following month, the An family organized two large-scale hunting operations, but both ended in failure. Many of their Unity Realm experts were captured by the avatars, and after sustaining heavy losses, they no longer dared to send forces against them. They could only watch helplessly as their planets were taken one by one.
Tang Xinyao and the other two had been following the avatars the entire time, never once intervening in the battles. It was only after several encounters that they finally realized the white light came from the Black Tiger. As for the three invisible Xuanwu, their true forms remained unseen.
"This group is incredibly difficult to deal with!" Tang Hao concluded.
"The next planet belongs to our Tang family—what should we do?" Tang Qianyu asked nervously.
The Black Tiger’s white light, the Crimson Chain’s ability to absorb power of bloodline, the Vermilion Bird’s soul-burning flames, and the three perpetually concealed Xuanwu—all of them posed a formidable threat.
Tang Xinyao reassured them, "Don’t worry. I don’t think they’ll attack us!"
"They won’t take our planet?" Tang Qianyu pressed.
Tang Xinyao shook her head again, uncertainty in her voice. "They might not fight us, but I doubt they’ll just give up. We’ll have to wait and see. I can’t predict their intentions."
Meanwhile, the Spirit Cat battleship carrying the avatars distanced itself from the Exorcism Star System, circling through the void to buy time for the second avatar to refine the harvested planets.
Tang Xinyao turned directly to the first avatar and asked, "The next planet belongs to the Tang family. What are you planning to do?"
The first avatar didn’t hide it from her: "We’ll drop you off on a planet, then we’re heading to the others."
Tang Xinyao chuckled. "I knew you wouldn’t attack us. But we’ll run into each other eventually! And our Tang Clan will send people to intercept you."
"Worst case, we’ll leave a few planets for you," the avatar replied indifferently.
Tang Xinyao thought for a moment, then asked, "What if we just keep following you? You do your thing—we won’t interfere!"
"..." The avatar was speechless.
"You really don’t know when to quit," he finally said. "But once we’ve taken these planets, we’re leaving immediately. We won’t bring you along. I’ve already told you everything I can. Why keep following us?"
Hearing this, Tang Xinyao realized they’d be gone soon either way. She sighed. "Mr. Wu sees Xiaofeng as the Tang Clan’s hope—he truly cares about him. His sudden disappearance has left Mr. Wu restless. Xiaofeng saved us, and we’re grateful. We wanted to thank him properly, to build a good relationship. But then he just vanished to fight some alien threat out of nowhere! How could we not worry?"
The avatar spoke earnestly. "I understand how you feel, and I’ll pass that on to Tang Xiaofeng. But the Tang Xiaofeng you know was never truly part of this world. A clean break now is better than prolonged suffering. Leaving early prevents greater losses for the Tang Clan.
"Your world hasn’t suffered alien invasion, so you can’t grasp the threat they pose. But our resolve to fight them is unshakable. If we don’t, the entire cosmos will be bathed in blood and ruin."
"What do you mean, ‘not part of this world’?" Tang Qianyu blurted out.
After a pause, the avatar explained, "He isn’t from your Tang Clan. He isn’t even from this world."
"What?!" Tang Xinyao gasped in shock.
Just then, a voice transmission from Mr. Wu reached her: "Xinyao, where did you get that intel? The entire demon star system is gone—there’s nothing left!"
"Seriously?!" Tang Xinyao shouted into the transmission talisman, stunned.
"Truly. I’m on my way back. Could you bring the person who gave you the message to me?" The Fifth Elder said earnestly.
Tang Xinyao turned to the doppelganger, her eyes wide with astonishment. "Did you really wipe out all those demonic planets?"
The doppelganger nodded. "I already told you—I wasn’t lying!"
"So everything else you said is true as well?" Tang Xinyao pressed, still visibly shocked.
"Exactly!" the doppelganger confirmed again.
"What? All the demonic planets are gone? Xinyao, is this information reliable?" Tang Qianyu and Tang Hao exclaimed in disbelief.
"The Fifth Elder personally verified it—how could it be wrong?" Tang Xinyao replied dismissively before falling into deep thought.
Then, she quickly turned back to the doppelganger. "Does that mean you have the power to take all the planets here?"
The doppelganger nodded once more. "You’re right. However, we have no intention of slaughtering the cultivators here, so we won’t seize inhabited planets to avoid a full-scale war. And because of Tang Xiaofeng’s ties to your family, we’d prefer not to engage in conflict with the Tang Clan."
Tang Xinyao pondered for a moment before immediately relaying the doppelganger’s words to the Fifth Elder via a sound-transmission talisman.
"Tell them to hold off for now—let me think!" the Fifth Elder responded at once.
After a long pause, the Fifth Elder transmitted another message.
Tang Xinyao relayed his words: "Our Tang Clan is willing to voluntarily cede half of the uninhabited planets to you, so there’s no need for conflict between us. In addition, we’ll compensate you with some Golden Radiance Crystal veins and primordial energy. Does that sound acceptable?"
The doppelganger agreed without hesitation. "Avoiding a fight is for the best!"
"The Fifth Elder also wishes to speak with you. He’s rushing back from the demonic star system—could you wait for him?" Tang Xinyao added.
"Alright. I’ll dispatch a Spirit Cat Battleship to pick him up, so he doesn’t have to exhaust himself!"
The clone spoke while releasing another Spirit Cat Battleship, instructing Tang Hao to guide the way. Through a communication talisman, they coordinated with the Fifth Elder to arrange his pickup.
Meanwhile, Tang Xinyao and Tang Qianyu led the clone to collect the uninhabited planets allocated by the Tang family.
This time, no fighting was necessary. Once the second clone had fully recovered, it could resume absorbing the barren planets.
During this period, the Tang family elders delivered their promised compensation as agreed. However, upon seeing that the clone and his companions didn’t appear particularly powerful, some of them grew suspicious. But the moment the clone summoned thirty skeletal puppets, each at the third level of the Unity Realm, the elders immediately fell silent, obediently handing over the compensation without further protest.
After absorbing half of the Tang family’s uninhabited planets, the clone took Tang Xinyao and Tang Qianyu straight back to the Qin family. The Fifth Elder, now aboard the Spirit Cat Battleship, was also en route to the Qin estate.
