Chapter 2955: Chapter 2955

"You dare claim to fight us at Dominator Level Eight? What arrogance!" sneered a disciple from the Tang family.

The First Doppelganger didn’t even glance at the disciple as he replied, "Even when I was at Dominator Level Seven, you were no match for me."

The disciple had indeed faced Ye Liuyun in the arena before—and lost. So the doppelganger’s words weren’t wrong.

Tang Xinyao grew even more suspicious upon hearing this. She immediately stepped back and said to the First Doppelganger, "Fine. Since you’re so bold, let’s see what you’re capable of. Go ahead and fight—we won’t interfere."

The moment she retreated, Tang Qianyu sent her a voice transmission: *"Xinyao, those golden eyes—don’t they resemble the Thunder Dragon Beast’s? And the way he speaks... it’s so familiar. Could he be connected to Junior Brother Xiaofeng?"*

*"I’m wondering the same thing,"* Tang Xinyao replied immediately. *"That’s why I’m holding back—to see if his fighting style reveals anything."*

Both doppelgangers knew there was no avoiding the battle. They drew their blades—one, the white-glowing Heaven Devourer, the other, a radiant golden saber. Seeing this, Tang Xinyao and the others felt a twinge of disappointment. The legendary Demon Slayer Blade was nowhere in sight.

"You’re sure you won’t interfere?" An family disciples asked warily, seeking confirmation from Tang Xinyao.

"If you insist on provoking us into action, we *could* reluctantly oblige," Tang Xinyao replied, her lips curling in a faint, mocking smile.

"Humph! Let’s hope you keep your word," the lead An disciple muttered, not daring to argue further. Their priority was subduing Ye Liuyun’s group. They had already sent word to their family—reinforcements, likely elders, would arrive soon. There was no way they’d let the Tang family snatch these people away.

With that, the An disciples brandished their weapons.

Their side boasted twenty-one fighters, including five at Unity Level One—superior in both numbers and cultivation.

Meanwhile, the doppelgangers’ visible forces consisted of only seven: the two doppelgangers, Ye Tiandao, Li Daoyuan, and the humanoid forms of Scarlet Viper, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tiger. The three Black Tortoises remained concealed, making their side appear severely outnumbered.

"Kill!"

At the First Doppelganger’s command, everyone except Li Daoyuan surged forward. The two doppelgangers struck first, their blades flashing toward the two Unity Level One disciples of the An family.

"The essence of this blade technique feels so similar to the power of heaven and earth!"

Tang Xinyao and Tang Qianyu immediately sensed the same thing when they saw the blade energy unleashed by the two.

Even the blade intent released by Ye Tiandao struck them as somewhat familiar. They exchanged glances, suspicion growing in their hearts.

"Could this be related to Junior Brother Xiaofeng? If they’re overwhelmed later, maybe we should step in and help?" Tang Qianyu quickly transmitted her thoughts to Tang Xinyao.

Tang Xinyao observed the battle while replying, "Don’t rush. If they really are connected to Xiaofeng, they might be capable of fighting above their level. Look—they charged out on their own, and not a single one of them shows any fear."

At that moment, a deafening roar echoed as the three An family disciples at the Unity Realm First Layer were caught off guard. Just those three slashes left one dead and two severely injured.

Then, the first doppelgänger’s golden pupils flashed, and the Golden Crow Sacred Fire surged toward the An family members, blocking their advance. Immediately after, the Vermilion Bird unleashed a soul-flame attack, instantly killing several An disciples.

The Black Tiger let out a thunderous roar, revealing its true form as it charged into the midst of the An family’s ranks. Meanwhile, at the rear of the An family’s formation, several powerful figures collapsed without a sound.

As for Chilian, having recently broken through to the Unity Realm First Layer, she could now absorb bloodline energy at an even faster rate. With just a few swift movements among the An disciples, she drained their power of bloodline, leaving them powerless to fight back.

"That flame—" Tang Qianyu’s eyes widened at the sight of the Golden Crow Sacred Fire, and she quickly sent another mental message to Tang Xinyao.

Tang Xinyao nodded in agreement.

They both recognized that the fire’s power was identical to Tang Xiaofeng’s.

Now, they were certain—these people had to be connected to their missing junior brother.

Back then, Tang Xiaofeng had suddenly vanished without a trace. They had assumed he left to avoid implicating the Tang family after stealing the An family’s Golden Source Elixir.

But later, the Tang family took a firm stance, suppressing the An family, who had just lost their patriarch. The matter was eventually dropped. Still, these two women had never stopped searching for Tang Xiaofeng, hoping to bring him the news and persuade him to return home.

As Tang Xiaofeng had essentially saved them as their junior brother, even Tang Qianyu, despite her lingering doubts, was merely curious rather than harboring any ill will toward him.

Now that they had witnessed the golden pupils, blade intent, the power of heaven and earth, flames, and even the words spoken by the doppelganger—all connected to Tang Xiaofeng—they naturally paid close attention and refrained from attacking recklessly.

"This man’s techniques seem remarkably similar to Junior Brother Xiaofeng’s!" Even Tang Hao had noticed something amiss.

"They really are alike!" confirmed the Tang disciple who had previously fought Ye Liuyun.

The other Tang disciples, meanwhile, were simply watching the spectacle unfold, commenting from the sidelines: "These people are incredibly strong! In just this short time, they’ve wiped out nearly half the An family!"

"They even have invisible fighters—and it seems there’s more than one!"

"Is that woman in red using some kind of dark art? She’s completely drained people dry!"

"They must be from some major faction, right? There’s even an elder who hasn’t made a move yet!"

The Tang disciples were not just gossiping—they were also analyzing their opponents’ techniques and backgrounds, preparing in case a fight broke out later.

As for the An disciples, their screams were unending. The few who remained had already surrendered, too terrified to keep fighting. But the doppelganger didn’t let Chi Lian spare them, ordering their power of bloodline to be drained completely before feeding it to Ye Tiandao.

Once the battle ended, the first doppelganger walked straight toward Tang Xinyao and declared, "Tang Xiaofeng won’t be coming back. You don’t need to wait for him anymore."

"So you *do* know Junior Brother Xiaofeng!" Tang Qianyu exclaimed, her voice tinged with realization.

*This woman still talks way too much,* the doppelganger grumbled inwardly, though since this wasn’t a critical moment, he didn’t mind her as much.

"Where did he go? Why won’t he return? Does he know the An family’s matter has been resolved?" Tang Qianyu immediately launched into her trademark barrage of questions, leaving the doppelganger at a loss for how to respond.

Tang Xinyao, however, blinked curiously as she studied the doppelganger before suddenly blurting out, "You *are* Junior Brother Xiaofeng, aren’t you?"

The question startled him. *This girl is too sharp—she can see through me even when my appearance is different!*

But he quickly steadied himself and replied calmly, "No. We just share the same techniques."

"Really?" Tang Xinyao smirked knowingly but said nothing more, her gaze shifting instead to the demonic beasts collecting the corpses of the An disciples.
