Chapter 2915: Chapter 2915

Ye Liuyun had just stepped into his spatial realm, barely beginning his cultivation session, when shouts from outside pulled him back out.

"This girl, she actually came knocking on my door!"

Ye Liuyun sighed inwardly, hesitating over whether to answer.

But Tang Xinyao kept calling for him outside, quickly drawing a crowd of onlookers. She clearly couldn’t care less about the attention, but Ye Liuyun worried about misunderstandings.

With a resigned groan, he finally went to open the door.

"Alright, alright, stop yelling! I’m here!"

"Heh, I thought I’d have to shout a while longer!" Tang Xinyao smirked triumphantly.

Ye Liuyun rubbed his temples. "Out with it. What’s so urgent that you had to make a scene like this?"

Tang Xinyao feigned sternness. "What, not even calling me ‘Senior Sister’ anymore? Hiding from me? Now that you’ve gotten stronger, you look down on us, your seniors?"

Ye Liuyun saw right through her. Tang Xinyao had been scheming, pushing others to test him—there was definitely more to it.

"Cut the act. Since when does a senior sister go out of her way to mess with a junior? If you’ve got something to say, say it fast, or I’m going back to cultivate."

He wasn’t in the mood for games. Someone as sharp as Tang Xinyao didn’t need him to tiptoe around the point.

She blinked, then grinned playfully. "Aren’t you going to invite me in?"

Noticing the sudden shift in his tone—no more playing dumb—she wanted to talk inside. Out here, anyone could eavesdrop. Their rooms, however, were warded against prying eyes and ears.

"Fine. This is the *only* time I’ll let you in. If this isn’t serious, don’t bother coming back."

Ye Liuyun knew that if she truly had business, it wasn’t something to discuss in public. Reluctantly, he stepped aside.

"You’re being way too harsh! After all the concern I’ve shown you as your senior sister!" Tang Xinyao feigned hurt, though her face was alight with smug amusement as she strode unceremoniously into Ye Liuyun’s quarters.

But upon entering the main hall, she paused in surprise. "Why is your place completely empty? There’s not a single piece of furniture!"

"Don’t need any. It’s just a place for cultivation," Ye Liuyun replied casually, motioning her inside. The two stood facing each other in the bare, echoing hall.

"This is so awkward—it feels like we’re about to duel! Not even a place to sit!" Tang Xinyao sighed dramatically.

Ignoring her digression, Ye Liuyun cut straight to the point. "Just say it. What do you really want?"

"I thought you had a pretty good temper before, but turns out you’re quite impatient!" Tang Xinyao teased, clearly in no hurry to get to the matter at hand.

Ye Liuyun remained silent, unaffected by her prodding, his gaze steady as he waited for her to explain.

"Ugh, fine, fine! I’ll just say it—stop staring at me like that, you’re scaring me!" She waved a hand dismissively, finally dropping the playful act.

Ye Liuyun relaxed slightly, folding his arms as he watched her.

"Qianyu-jie and I have gathered a group of disciples for an expedition. We happened to notice the unique traits of your spirit beast and wanted to bring you along. But of course, we had to test your strength first—hence the little ’challenges’ we set up. Though with your skills, I’m sure they were nothing to worry about," Tang Xinyao said with a grin.

Ye Liuyun let out a cold snort. "And if I hadn’t been strong enough? You’d just have taken my beast and left me behind?"

Tang Xinyao laughed breezily. "Oh please, as your senior sister, I’d never do something so crude! At most, we’d just... borrow it for a while!"

"And now? Do I meet your standards?" he pressed. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

"Of course! Honestly, I think you might even be stronger than Qianyu-jie!" she declared, studying him with newfound appreciation.

Ye Liuyun neither agreed nor disagreed, simply continuing, "But I might not necessarily go with you! Where exactly are you planning to explore? What resources are there? I need to see if it’s worth my time!"

"Are you busy?" Tang Xinyao immediately shot back.

Ye Liuyun rolled his eyes at her. "Even if I weren’t busy, I wouldn’t want to waste a trip for nothing!"

Tang Xinyao then wore a troubled expression. "The place we’re going is absolutely worth your time. Once I tell you, you’ll understand. But this matter is too important—if you don’t agree first, I can’t risk telling you!"

Hearing this, Ye Liuyun realized the place Tang Xinyao wanted to go was likely forbidden by their clan, which was why she couldn’t reveal it prematurely.

Still, he couldn’t judge whether it was worth his time. After all, everyone’s needs were different—what interested them might be useless to him.

"I won’t agree to anything without knowing the details," Ye Liuyun said firmly.

Now it was Tang Xinyao’s turn to hesitate. She bit her lip, deliberating for a while, but ultimately kept silent.

Finally, she just said, "Let me think it over first, and then I’ll tell you! If you think the place is worth visiting, will you come with us?"

Ye Liuyun merely nodded. "If the timing works, I’ll go."

"What training plans do you have coming up?" Tang Xinyao asked him next.

"Tomorrow, I’m entering the Blood Spirit Pool. I’ve never been in before, so I don’t know how long I’ll be. As for further training, the Fifth Elder hasn’t told me yet," Ye Liuyun replied bluntly.

"The Blood Spirit Pool? You’ve never been in before? Then the power of bloodline you used against Senior Sister Qianyu—you cultivated that yourself?" Tang Xinyao was even more astonished now.

Ye Liuyun had originally wanted to ask her about the Blood Spirit Pool, but he found Tang Xinyao too inquisitive and unreliable—she might just spin him some nonsense. So he decided against it.

He didn’t even bother answering her question, walking straight to the door and opening it to shoo her out. "When you’re ready to tell me, just send a message. And stop shouting outside my door in the future!"

Tang Xinyao knew it was time to leave now that their serious discussion was over. Instantly slipping back into her playful demeanor, she deliberately teased Ye Liuyun, "Oh? Are you kicking me out now? Is this how you treat your beautiful senior sister?"

"If you don’t leave, I might just lock the door for good. Then you won’t have a choice—you’ll have to stay the night!" Ye Liuyun shot her a mischievous grin, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"You shameless—!" Tang Xinyao gasped in mock horror and bolted out the door before he could finish.

With a loud laugh, Ye Liuyun swiftly shut the door behind her, not even giving her a chance to say goodbye.

"That little rascal!" Tang Xinyao chuckled to herself, realizing he’d just been trying to scare her into leaving quickly.

Once outside, she paused briefly in thought before heading straight to find Tang Qianyu. Soon after, the two of them emerged together and hurried off toward the other disciples’ quarters.

"Probably off to discuss things," Ye Liuyun mused, sensing their movements with his divine consciousness before dismissing the matter from his mind.
