Chapter 2914: Chapter 2914

Ye Liuyun’s attention swiftly shifted back from Tang Xinyao.

He had to admit, Tang Xinyao was truly impressive—her ability to stir up trouble far surpassed Lei Ming’s. She wasn’t just eloquent; her timing was impeccable, and she had an uncanny understanding of people’s thoughts and emotions.

Tang Qianyu, on the other hand, was proud and headstrong, so her words had effortlessly provoked Tang Qianyu into action.

But now that Tang Qianyu had stepped onto the stage, Ye Liuyun immediately refocused, his mind sharpening for the battle ahead. Since Tang Qianyu had demanded he go all out, he saw no reason to hold back.

He knew relying solely on the power of heaven and earth wouldn’t be enough to match her.

"Senior Sister, be careful!" Ye Liuyun warned as a blazing Golden Crow materialized before Tang Qianyu, lunging at her with scorching fury.

At the same time, he threw a punch—infused not only with the essence of profound energy but also with spatial power, striking the moment his fist moved.

Ye Liuyun’s Golden Crow Holy Flame was already astonishingly powerful. Sensing the overwhelming heat within it, Tang Qianyu didn’t dare underestimate it. She immediately countered with a palm strike aimed at the fiery bird.

But then she detected the ripple of spatial energy. Hastily, she swung another palm, simultaneously using spatial force to deflect while bracing herself against Ye Liuyun’s attack.

Two thunderous explosions later, Ye Liuyun had already gauged Tang Qianyu’s strength. Without hesitation, he channeled more profound energy and flame power into his palm, pressing forward with another strike.

Caught off guard at the outset, Tang Qianyu had been momentarily overwhelmed. But her combat instincts were sharp—she steadied herself quickly, her initial underestimation of Ye Liuyun now gone.

She hadn’t expected him to possess such formidable power.

The same realization dawned on the watching disciples. Only now did they remember—Ye Liuyun had previously only used the power of heaven and earth, never unleashing his full strength.

The revelation left them in awe. All this time, when sparring with them, he had been holding back.

As the battle raged on the stage, Tang Qianyu grew increasingly unsettled. She was now fighting Ye Liuyun with everything she had—and yet, the more they clashed, the more she realized just how formidable he truly was.

Ye Liuyun had exhausted all his resources—his profound energy, power of bloodline, spatial force, and the energy of heaven and earth—while also utilizing the dual flames of yin and yang, combined with his formidable physical strength, just to barely hold his own against Tang Qianyu.

He estimated that Tang Qianyu’s strength could already overpower an ordinary martial cultivator at the late stage of the second level of the Unity Realm. As for the third level of Unity, he knew neither of them stood a chance. The gap between the second and third levels was simply too vast.

In the end, both of them completely depleted their true essence before finally stopping. Tang Qianyu was even more shocked—she hadn’t expected Ye Liuyun’s true essence reserves to be enough to exhaust hers. Moreover, his power of bloodline wasn’t any weaker than hers.

She had bathed in the Blood Spirit Pool multiple times, and among her peers of the same level, her power of bloodline was unmatched. Yet she still couldn’t suppress Ye Liuyun’s. After the battle, she immediately returned to her quarters to cultivate.

Given her pride, the fact that she hadn’t defeated a mere seventh-level Dominance disciple was unacceptable. She couldn’t bear to stay any longer out of sheer embarrassment.

This fight with Ye Liuyun also left her with an overwhelming sense of pressure. Even as a prodigy of the Tang family, she couldn’t afford to slack off—otherwise, others would surpass her.

Meanwhile, Tang Xinyao had been lost in thought during their battle. The moment it ended, she ignored Tang Qianyu and immediately approached Ye Liuyun.

“So, Junior Brother really is this strong!” she exclaimed with exaggerated admiration.

“You flatter me, Senior Sister!”

Ye Liuyun awkwardly replied before quickly making his escape, darting straight into the training hall.

He found Tang Xinyao particularly troublesome. If he openly rejected her, others might call him petty. But if he got too close, he feared she’d drag him into some scheme. So, avoiding her was his only option.

*At least I won’t be staying in the Tang family for long. I can keep dodging her—otherwise, she’d be a real headache!* he thought to himself.

Tang Xinyao couldn’t help but giggle at his flustered retreat. Yet as she watched him go, her eyes gleamed with mischief—clearly, she wasn’t planning to let him off the hook.

The other disciples dispersed as well, buzzing with discussions about Ye Liuyun’s strength. News of his draw with Tang Qianyu would undoubtedly spread like wildfire.

Once inside the training hall, Ye Liuyun finally let out a long sigh. *Tang Xinyao is terrifying. Why does just her presence make me feel so uneasy?*

He shook his head with a resigned smile and looked up to find the Fifth Elder, Tang Fengkuan. At that moment, Tang Fengkuan was sitting composedly, watching him with an amused expression.

"Fifth Elder!" Ye Liuyun immediately stepped forward and bowed respectfully. He guessed the elder had already witnessed his earlier battle.

"Why didn’t you go all out to defeat her?" Tang Fengkuan asked.

Ye Liuyun explained, "It was just a friendly spar—no need to force a decisive outcome. After all, Senior Sister Qianyu is a prodigy in her own right. If she suffered another defeat, it might bruise her pride."

He knew the Fifth Elder had seen him fight in the Frenzied Battle Hell and was aware of his full capabilities. He hadn’t even tapped into his soul power, lightning force, or blade intent.

Tang Fengkuan nodded approvingly. He was pleased to see that Ye Liuyun wasn’t just exceptionally talented but also tactful in handling interpersonal dynamics. He had bested several disciples without stirring resentment—an impressive balance.

Dropping the subject, the elder asked instead, "You’ve already absorbed all the origin energy I gave you?" He had noticed Ye Liuyun’s improved cultivation level and surmised he must have fully assimilated the energy.

"Yes," Ye Liuyun admitted without hesitation.

"So quickly! I thought it would take you a few more days. But since you’ve finished, come back first thing tomorrow. I’ll take you to the Blood Spirit Pool to enhance your power of bloodline. Let me make the arrangements today."

Though slightly surprised, the elder didn’t dwell on it, eager to proceed with furthering Ye Liuyun’s growth.

"Understood. This disciple will return tomorrow morning!"

With another respectful bow, Ye Liuyun left the training hall.

"Junior Brother!"

The moment he stepped outside, Tang Xinyao’s voice rang out.

Ye Liuyun heard her but pretended not to, immediately breaking into a sprint toward his quarters.

Tang Xinyao was both exasperated and amused. "Daring to run from me? Am I that terrifying? Fine, I’ll let you get a head start—see where you can hide!"

She didn’t call after him again, instead strolling back at a leisurely pace.

Ye Liuyun, glancing back to find no pursuit, finally relaxed. Once back in his room, he shut the door firmly and began meditating.

At the same time, he sent word to his allies, instructing them to prepare for battle the next day. If the opportunity arose, he would strike immediately—he had no intention of lingering in the Tang family any longer than necessary.
