Chapter 2800: Chapter 2800

After all, in this vast universe, any kind of extraordinary ability could exist.

The alien races surely had their own share of powerful individuals with unique talents. If they decided to take him seriously, those formidable foes would likely emerge one after another.

"How about we use the invisibility cloaks and go stir up some trouble in the heart of their army?" Yuan Hao suggested.

Ye Liuyun shook his head. "If their leader can detect human souls, those cloaks won’t do you any good."

"So we just keep waiting like this?" Ye Tiandao asked impatiently. Months had passed in this stalemate, with neither side engaging in any real battle.

After a moment of thought, Ye Liuyun addressed the group. "Let’s abandon this position for now and sweep through the surrounding alien territories. We’ll use the Lynx Warships to move quickly and strike fast!"

Yu Xiaofeng nodded in agreement. "Good idea. Since this place is heavily fortified and the nearby alien forces have been mobilized here, attacking their outlying planets might force their main army to march long distances, exhausting them. Then we can use our speed to ambush their bases."

Ye Liuyun, however, remained cautious. "Whether an ambush will work is still uncertain—Fuyang isn’t the type to fall for tricks easily. But seizing some of their occupied planets and expanding our own alien army is definitely doable. As for the final outcome, we’ll have to see how they react."

"But what if they refuse to move at all?" Ye Tiandao pressed.

Ye Liuyun smirked. "No one said we have to capture this base before advancing toward their homeworld. If they stay put, we’ll just bypass them and push forward. I doubt they’ll remain indifferent then. The moment they come out, we’ll use the Lynx Warships’ advantage to launch hit-and-run attacks relentlessly."

With their new strategy in place, Ye Liuyun and his team boarded the Lynx Warships and headed for the nearby alien-controlled planets.

Each operation followed the same pattern: a Dominator-level alien warrior, cloaked in invisibility, would first destroy the enemy’s altar. Then, the elite alien fighters and the Vanguard Corps would swarm in, capturing enemy soldiers and commanders.

Even though these occupied planets had sent reinforcements to the alien stronghold, they still left behind some defensive forces—not many, but over time, as Ye Liuyun’s forces raided multiple worlds, their alien army swelled to a hundred thousand strong.

This growing alien legion was placed under the command of Broken Horn and his elite Blue Armor warriors.

The alien corpses they obtained here were all fed to the Demon Vine, finally elevating its cultivation to the ninth level of the Dominator Realm. Ye Liuyun then concentrated their resources on nurturing the Demon-Sealing Stele, strengthening each one in turn.

Soon, the aliens retaliated.

When Ye Liuyun and his forces attacked a small galaxy occupied by the aliens, their first move was to strike the enemy’s core altar. Though their ambush succeeded, an alien powerhouse suddenly unleashed over a thousand elite warriors from his spatial realm. At the same time, smaller altars on nearby planets began teleporting in a continuous stream of alien soldiers.

Acting swiftly, Ye Liuyun used his temporal power to capture the alien with the massive spatial realm. After taking turns with his doppelgänger to seize several other alien elites, he withdrew his allies into his own spatial world, donned his invisibility cloak, and vanished.

He abandoned the battle outright, refusing to engage the aliens head-on. Only after putting enough distance between himself and the planet housing their strongest forces did he strike two outlying alien worlds, harvesting their core energies before retreating. By the time the enemy elites could react, he was long gone.

"That was too close!" Ye Liuyun exhaled sharply after escaping. "Their traps are getting harder to detect."

The aliens’ tactics were growing increasingly covert, deploying more and more specialists with unique abilities. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

Ye Liuyun immediately began studying the captured alien with the vast spatial realm. He discovered it was enormous—capable of holding over fifty thousand beings—and still contained more than a thousand alien warriors that hadn’t been released.

The alien was named Longya ("Dragon Fang") due to a prominent fang resembling a dragon’s tooth. He had been brought here by Elder Fuyang.

Through soul-searching, Ye Liuyun learned that Elder Fuyang had another alien powerhouse with an even larger spatial realm—a fire-breathing creature with a head like a giant lizard, known among them as Huoxi ("Fire Lizard").

Inside Huoxi’s spatial realm was an army of a hundred thousand aliens, most at the fifth or sixth level of the Dominator Realm.

Moreover, Elder Fuyang’s own spatial world harbored additional alien elites—though Longya didn’t know the exact number.

Ye Liuyun let out a weary sigh upon uncovering this. "We can’t fight them head-on. We’ll have to outsmart them. Their numbers are just too overwhelming."

Only now did he realize that his current strength still paled in comparison to the alien races.

Without delay, he briefed everyone on the situation, urging them to prepare for a prolonged struggle against these extraterrestrial foes.

Next, he instructed Longya to release the captured aliens one by one from its spatial realm. They subdued each individually before handing them over to Broken Horn.

Broken Horn now commanded two forces: an elite squad of over five thousand alien warriors and a massive army consisting of a hundred thousand regular soldiers and twenty thousand elite blue-armored troops.

To ensure Broken Horn wouldn’t be recaptured by the enemy, Ye Liuyun had minimized his field missions, instead assigning him to oversee and direct the alien army.

Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun and his team swiftly changed course aboard the Spirit Cat, sweeping through alien planets in other sectors. Fuyang’s failed ambush had cost them a beloved general, and setting up another trap required time—something they couldn’t match Ye Liuyun’s lightning-fast maneuvers.

For a while, Ye Liuyun’s forces raided alien territories unimpeded. But after a stretch of smooth operations, they abruptly shifted direction again, doubling back to obliterate a previously untouched star system—catching the aliens completely off guard.

Fuyang’s carefully laid ambush ahead of them was instantly rendered useless.

This guerrilla tactic of Ye Liuyun’s—striking unpredictably, gathering strength hit by hit—left Fuyang utterly frustrated. As defenders, the aliens were stretched too thin, unable to cover all fronts.

This time, their target had no prior warning. Ye Liuyun deployed his alien elites in full force, shattering multiple enemy planets in the opening assault and leaving none of their altars standing.

Then, leveraging the Spirit Cat’s dominance in space, they encircled the remaining aliens. Pitting alien against alien made surrender far more appealing to the enemy soldiers. Before long, Broken Horn’s army doubled in size, swelling to two hundred thousand.
