Chapter 2614: Chapter 2614

As soon as the alien powerhouse Leiton and his kin departed, the Demon Vine resumed its stealthy assaults on the encampment. Little did it know, this was a trap meticulously laid by Leiton. This time, he had left behind two Three-Eyed Alien overlords from his spatial realm, poised to eliminate the Demon Vine.

Both of these alien overlords possessed the ability to unleash beams of white light. However, they had refrained from consuming other Three-Eyed Aliens, instead funneling all resources to Leiton. As a result, their white light attacks were notably weaker.

The Demon Vine had indeed fallen into the trap, but to everyone’s shock, the white light beams failed to penetrate its defenses. Instead, the vine swiftly devoured both overlords. Leiton’s scheme had backfired spectacularly—he had tried to steal a chicken only to lose his own grain.

Moreover, after enduring repeated strikes from Ye Liuyun and his allies, the alien forces had suffered devastating losses among their overlords and Celestial Realm experts. Ye Liuyun’s group wielded terrifying lethality, cutting down thousands of aliens with each assault.

Left with no choice, Leiton reorganized his forces, pulling all Celestial Realm aliens closer to his own stronghold. He also ceased deploying overlords to lure and ambush the Falcon and martial cultivators.

Recent losses among the dispatched overlords had been catastrophic—many had been slain by the Vespera and other demonic beasts, yet their assailants remained frustratingly elusive.

Noticing Leiton’s tactical shift, Ye Liuyun immediately relocated the Demon Vine, unleashing it upon the rear of the alien army to wreak havoc at will. Meanwhile, he personally kept watch over Leiton.

His doppelgänger, accompanied by the Purple Kylin Snake and the Demon-Sealing Stele, struck at the flanks of the encampment, launching relentless assaults from ever-changing positions. These powerhouses moved through the alien ranks with impunity.

Leiton recognized Ye Liuyun’s strategy but initially resisted intervention—until his commanders reported staggering losses. The Demon Vine tore through ordinary soldiers like a wolf among sheep, feasting unchecked.

Forced to act, Leiton left behind two more Three-Eyed Alien overlords and led a contingent of elites to hunt down the Demon Vine.

From a distance, Ye Liuyun observed everything with perfect clarity. He had already summoned the Vespera and other beasts for backup. The moment Leiton was out of sight, Ye Liuyun alerted the Demon Vine and unleashed the Nine-Headed Demon Dragon and two half-beast corpse puppets in a ferocious charge.

Numerous overlords within the encampment rushed to intercept. The two Three-Eyed Aliens immediately fired their white light beams at the Nine-Headed Demon Dragon and the puppets.

Seizing the initiative, Ye Liuyun activated his temporal power. Swinging his Demon-Slaying Blade, he decapitated foes with each stroke, sending heads rolling. In the final moments of his time manipulation, he swiftly collected the corpses into his spatial realm.

The two beams of white light shot by the three-eyed aliens were intercepted—one neutralized by the Nine-Headed Demon Dragon’s own beam, while the other struck the half-beast corpse demon puppet to no effect.

When Leyton and his group arrived at the scene where the Demon Vine had caused havoc, they found no trace of it. A golden-armored elder, seething with rage, stomped his feet and cursed Ye Liuyun for refusing to engage in a direct confrontation, resorting instead to underhanded tricks.

Suddenly, a white beam erupted from beneath his feet, piercing straight through his skull. A vine lashed out, dragging his corpse underground.

"Over here!" Leyton was the first to spot the Demon Vine’s presence and immediately fired a white beam into the ground. The other golden-armored three-eyed aliens followed suit, unleashing a barrage of beams toward the vine’s last known position.

But the Demon Vine had already sunk deeper underground, using the elder’s corpse as a shield. Even when a few beams managed to penetrate the body, they barely affected it. Once it reached a safe depth, it swiftly shifted its position.

Leyton and his companions fired wildly before one of the golden-armored elders finally slammed the ground with full force, attempting to blast the Demon Vine out. By then, however, it had long since escaped.

After waiting briefly with no sign of the Demon Vine’s fate, Leyton had no choice but to rush back to reinforce their base.

The moment they left, the Demon Vine relayed the news to Ye Liuyun, who then withdrew with the Nine-Headed Demon Dragon and the half-beast corpse demon puppet.

Their strike had eliminated over forty Dominator-level aliens and more than three hundred at the Celestial Third Realm. Half of the Dominator-level kills were credited to the Nine-Headed Demon Dragon’s alternating black and white beams. Meanwhile, Xuanwu and the other beasts seized the opportunity to take out several alien commanders.

Upon returning, Ye Liuyun handed all the corpses to the Demon Vine. After devouring the golden-armored elder’s body, the vine sensed an imminent breakthrough. It quickly consumed the remaining resources before retreating into Ye Liuyun’s spatial realm to hibernate and evolve. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

When Leyton arrived back at the base, the sight of utter devastation pushed even his patience to the limit. He could no longer endure Ye Liuyun’s cat-and-mouse torment.

With a furious roar, he commanded the alien army to launch an assault on the allied forces’ stronghold, determined to shatter their defensive formations and force Ye Liuyun into a decisive battle.

Celestial Realm aliens were deployed as the main force, bombarding the formations relentlessly. Leyton himself abandoned concealment, leading his elites to hunt down formation masters repairing the defenses, eliminating them with precise white beams.

To ambush Ye Liuyun, he even stationed two three-eyed golden-armored aliens—cloaked in invisibility—among the ranks of soldiers behind him, lying in wait.

Meanwhile, the doppelganger was also wreaking havoc among the alien ranks with the Demon-Sealing Stele and the Purple Kylin Snake in tow, slaughtering enemies and disrupting their offensive—all to help the stele advance its own cultivation.

Several Xuanwu beasts focused exclusively on targeting the commanders of the alien army. Their relentless assaults left many units leaderless, drastically weakening both combat effectiveness and tactical coordination.

Noticing the two golden-armored, three-eyed aliens blending in with the foot soldiers, Ye Liuyun sensed an opportunity.

Using the Thousand Illusions technique to disguise himself as one of their own, he slipped through the chaos toward the cloaked trio. Before they could react, he froze time, struck them down, and swiftly stashed their corpses. Then, donning his invisibility cloak, he vanished without a trace.

By the time Leidon and the other golden-armored elders realized what had happened, they could only seethe in frustration—their enemy was already long gone.

But Ye Liuyun’s ambushes didn’t stop there. Now that he could easily infiltrate the aliens’ ranks, his mastery over time gave him a decisive edge. After eliminating one or two high-ranking foes, he still had ample opportunity to escape unscathed.

By the end of the day, he had slain two more three-eyed golden-armored aliens and two of their elders.

Of the four newly acquired third eyes, he gave three to his doppelganger and refined the last for himself. The corpses, as always, were fed to the Demon-Sealing Stele.

After absorbing the energy cores of these elite warriors, the stele’s power surged dramatically. It practically vibrated with impatience, urging Ye Liuyun to hunt more prey.

Though its communication was garbled, Ye Liuyun guessed the stele was on the verge of a breakthrough. The moment he finished refining the third eye, he immediately set out again with the stele and the demonic vine in tow.

But when he emerged, he found that Leidon and the remaining three-eyed aliens had vanished. Only a handful of golden-armored elders and their Sovereign-level warriors remained, relentlessly assaulting the defensive formations.
