Chapter 2452: Chapter 2452

"This area is ridiculously hard to get through. It’s testing both spiritual power and spatial manipulation!"

Ye Liuyun couldn’t help but sigh in frustration as he inched closer to the maze’s edge, occasionally stopping to slay the rats that crossed his path.

The Book Demon, however, offered some encouragement. "Honestly, I think this secret realm is perfect for you—it’s a place where you can grow in every aspect! Once your spatial power reaches a certain level, you might even start grasping the basics of temporal power."

"Temporal power?" The idea immediately sparked Ye Liuyun’s interest.

From what he’d seen of the Time Halo, he knew just how formidable such power could be. The problem was, he had no clue where to even begin.

But progress came one step at a time. Since he was here to grow stronger, he might as well focus and grind it out.

"If at first you don’t succeed, try again!"

With renewed determination, Ye Liuyun channeled all his spatial energy into breaking through the maze’s overlapping barriers. Each attempt also served as a lesson—he studied the maze’s spatial distortions, learning from them as he pushed forward.

The Death March training was anything but peaceful. Improvement here meant facing constant danger.

Even as he practiced spatial manipulation, the rats kept interrupting him. A few times, he even had to fight enlarged versions of them, relying on his Demon-Slaying Blade to finish them off.

Those oversized rats were no joke—each battle pushed Ye Liuyun to his limits. A single month in this place had given him more combat experience than an entire year outside.

And it showed. His skills and strength were steadily improving.

His spatial power was growing too, though he still hadn’t managed to breach the maze’s layered barriers.

Then one day, while dodging a rat’s attack, he instinctively tapped into his spatial power—flashing behind the creature in an instant and cutting it down with a single slash.

Pleased with the results, Ye Liuyun decided to focus entirely on exterminating the rats infesting the maze.

Since breaking free from the labyrinth seemed impossible for now, he figured it was better to eliminate these persistent nuisances first, allowing him to concentrate on honing his spatial powers without distraction.

Yet, during one of his skirmishes with the rats, he unexpectedly burst right out of the maze.

Once outside, even he was stunned.

"How did I get out?"

Only then did he suddenly realize that the entire maze was enveloped in overlapping spatial barriers. From the outside, the labyrinth appeared merely as a peculiar, isolated dimension.

In a flash of insight, he understood his earlier mistake: whenever he had tried to breach the spatial barriers before, he had only folded space within the confines of the nine void layers, neglecting to merge the regions beyond the ninth layer.

It was only by continuously using his spatial abilities to evade the rats that he had inadvertently overlapped all the void layers, causing him to inexplicably leap out.

With this realization, he experimented by folding all the void layers together—and instantly, he could return to the maze with ease.

Then, he began darting in and out of the labyrinth at will, moving freely between spaces.

"So it was this simple!" Ye Liuyun couldn’t help but marvel.

"Simple? Hardly. It’s because your spatial power has grown stronger. The reason you never thought of it before was that you couldn’t have done it!" retorted the Book Demon.

"But what’s the use of mastering this?" Ye Liuyun shot back.

"Try using spatial overlap to kill two rats in different locations at the same time," the Book Demon hinted.

"Oh?"

The Book Demon’s warning sent Ye Liuyun into deep contemplation.

Spatial overlap meant merging different spaces together, effectively shortening the distance between two points.

"What if I shorten the distance between two rats..."

The thought struck him, and he decided to experiment. By overlapping the space between two rodents into a single point, the creatures ended up stacked atop each other in the ninth layer of the void—completely unaware of the change.

Ye Liuyun swiftly dispatched both with his silent dagger, skewering them in one clean motion. When he released the spatial distortion, the rats collapsed lifelessly at the same instant.

"This technique is unbelievably effective!"

A surge of excitement coursed through him as he began testing the method on larger groups. Before long, he had wiped out every rat in the vicinity.

But that wasn’t all. With this power, he could instantly traverse any distance within the reach of his divine sense—no need for tiresome running or walking.

Encouraged, he continued experimenting until he managed to shift the entire maze beyond the ninth layer of the void. Initially, he considered crushing it with spatial compression, but after a moment’s thought, he decided to store it in his personal spatial world instead—perfect for training his allies later.

Just then, Ye Tiandao and her group arrived, only to gape in shock as the labyrinth vanished before their eyes.

Ye Liuyun materialized beside them, explaining calmly, "That maze was too dangerous for you. I’ve relocated it."

Ye Tiandao barely batted an eye—by now, nothing Ye Liuyun did could surprise her.

But Ling Hai and the others? Their jaws practically hit the floor.

To instantly transport such a vast area was nothing short of a miracle in their eyes!

Then, Ye Liuyun reappeared before them, casually asking Ye Tiandao about recent developments. Yet no one detected even the slightest spatial disturbance. This left Ling Hai and the others—especially Liao Yunyang—utterly awestruck. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

Not long ago, Ye Liuyun had been no match for him during their sparring sessions. But now, it was clear Ye Liuyun had grown leaps and bounds. Just this mastery over spatial power alone meant Liao Yunyang stood no chance against him.

And indeed, the reality was even more staggering. Ye Liuyun could now not only teleport others but also himself, appearing anywhere at will. Liao Yunyang wouldn’t even be able to land a hit.

Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun could launch attacks from a distance, either directly warping the strikes onto Liao Yunyang or teleporting him straight into the path of the assault—leaving him helpless to defend.

Even Ye Liuyun himself was stunned by this transformation.

Returning to his spatial realm, he dragged Mosha back into the labyrinth, using him as a training dummy.

Mosha was beyond frustrated. After finally escaping that maze, he’d been dragged right back in.

Worse yet, he was no longer a match for Ye Liuyun either—now he was just getting toyed with.

After experimenting with various techniques on Mosha, Ye Liuyun wasn’t entirely selfish. He shared all the insights he’d gained, allowing Mosha to practice escaping the labyrinth on his own.

Mosha wasn’t a fool. With Ye Liuyun’s guidance, he eventually broke through the maze’s barriers after some dedicated training. Grateful beyond words, he regarded Ye Liuyun with deep appreciation.

From then on, Ye Liuyun let Mosha accompany him on their continued journey through the realm of death. As they traveled, the two sparred, honing their spatial abilities and growing stronger together.

Having conquered the labyrinth, Ye Liuyun’s power had undergone a comprehensive evolution. Though his cultivation realm hadn’t advanced, in every other aspect, he could now completely overwhelm even second-tier Heavenly Realm experts.
