Chapter 2393: Chapter 2393 Identity Exposed

"Who knows!" Qiong Qi quickly cut the conversation short, showing no intention of continuing further.

It was as if the person controlling Qiong Qi was carefully deciding how to respond to Ye Liuyun’s probing.

"Qiong Qi must’ve been taken over by someone from the Sanctuary Dynasty." Ye Liuyun speculated.

Judging by Qiong Qi’s reaction, it seemed even the Sanctuary Dynasty was surprised to hear Ye Liuyun mention the possibility of an alliance.

Still, Ye Liuyun couldn’t figure out how Qiong Qi’s memories had been erased.

"No matter what, I need to get Qiong Qi out of here! But if I try to forcibly seize control of his Divine Soul, those hidden experts will definitely notice immediately."

Ye Liuyun was deep in thought, considering how he could rescue Qiong Qi. At the very least, he needed to perform a soul search to uncover what Qiong Qi had been through.

But Qiong Qi’s Divine Soul was no weak force. If Ye Liuyun couldn’t subdue him swiftly, those martial practitioners would arrive before he could escape.

After a moment of calculation, Ye Liuyun came up with an idea. "Since you’ve already stepped into the Omnipotent Level. How about we spar a little?" he suggested casually.

"Forget it! You’re no match for me!" Qiong Qi flatly refused.

"Are you scared? What’s the harm in a little practice? Show me what you’ve got!" Ye Liuyun goaded him.

"Scared of you?" Qiong Qi blurted out instinctively, but then quickly backtracked, "I just don’t want to hurt you!" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"Oh, come on! This isn’t our first time sparring. Just go easy on me!" Ye Liuyun insisted.

Reluctantly, Qiong Qi gave in. "Fine, I’ll take it easy on you."

After finishing the grilled meat, the two of them stood up and began sparring.

Ye Liuyun subtly led the fight farther and farther away, drawing Qiong Qi out to the open sea.

He even began using Spatial Force, gradually pulling Qiong Qi farther from the coastal town to ensure no interference.

Once he judged they had reached a safe enough distance, Ye Liuyun suddenly released his clone and summoned the Devil Vine. Together, they launched a surprise attack on Qiong Qi.

"You’re cheating! Who brings backup to a sparring match..."

Qiong Qi immediately tried to stop, but it was too late. The Devil Vine had already entangled him, and Ye Liuyun’s clone struck him unconscious.

Ye Liuyun and his clone’s Divine Souls immediately plunged into Qiong Qi’s Ocean of Consciousness.

"As expected! He’s under someone’s control." The moment Ye Liuyun entered Qiong Qi’s consciousness, he discovered that the Divine Soul contract they had previously forged had been completely wiped clean.

And he also signed a new Divine Soul contract with someone.

Ye Liuyun immediately planted a Slaving Seal into Qiong Qi’s soul and erased the newly forged contract. Without hesitation, he released Riftblade, pulling both Devil Vine and the unconscious Qiong Qi into the Spatial World, then activated Riftblade’s protective barrier.

At that moment, seven second-level Celestial Realm experts from the town shot toward him like arrows unleashed from a bow.

Since Riftblade had just been activated, its initial speed was slow. Soon, the experts rapidly closed the distance.

However, Riftblade’s defensive shield held firm beneath their relentless assault. Then, with a burst of energy, the vessel surged forward—leaving the ocean behind as it shot into the boundless starry sky.

Those seven martial practitioner experts chased until they were beyond the planet’s atmosphere. But even there, they could only watch as Riftblade vanished into the cosmic expanse, powerless to stop its escape.

Ye Liuyun continued piloting the vessel, changing directions multiple times. Only after flying for an entire day did he finally feel a semblance of safety.

By then, Qiong Qi had regained consciousness.

His first words upon waking were: "I knew you’d sense something was wrong. You’d definitely come to rescue me!"

"And yet you almost got us all killed!" The clone rolled his eyes and snapped.

Qiong Qi tossed out a flying vessel. "This is a tool designed to capture martial practitioners. They were trying to lure you into it."

Ye Liuyun glanced at it and told Qiong Qi, "You can keep it!"

After that, the clone removed the Slaving Seal, and Ye Liuyun re-established a contract of equality with Qiong Qi.

As it turned out, Qiong Qi had been in the Sanctuary Dynasty when he attempted to capture a weapon-refining master. To his shock, his Divine Soul power was no match for the target’s. Fortunately, his instincts were sharp, and he managed to flee immediately.

However, the weapon-refining master’s powerful guards were relentless in their pursuit.

Despite several attempts, Qiong Qi failed to shake them off. In the end, he found himself completely surrounded. Left with no choice, he activated a Formation to buy himself time from the martial practitioner and erased his own memories.

He had done so out of fear that his capture would compromise Ye Liuyun. In order to protect Ye Liuyun, he had willingly sacrificed his memories.

By the time he fell under enemy control, his memories had been purged all the way back to the period before Ye Liuyun’s great war with the Fairy Clan. As a result, the Sanctuary Dynasty had obtained none of Ye Liuyun’s recent activities or secrets.

Even after being placed under control, Qiong Qi was eventually handed over to the Sanctuary Dynasty.

The Sanctuary Dynasty also had its own soul-searching experts. Once they discovered that Qiong Qi had come from Outpost Island, they immediately suspected he wasn’t acting alone.

Once under their control, Qiong Qi’s Sound Transmission Talisman became a tool for them to trace his connections. Through it, they managed to pick up subtle clues and ultimately deduced that Ye Liuyun was nearby.

After careful arrangement, the Sanctuary Dynasty deliberately used Qiong Qi to lure Ye Liuyun into their trap. However, they had underestimated just how well Ye Liuyun understood his old comrade. Before the bait could be taken, Ye Liuyun had already spotted the cracks in the illusion.

What they also didn’t anticipate was Ye Liuyun’s Riftblade.

Faced with the experts, not even Ye Liuyun’s Concealcape could guarantee safe concealment.

Unfortunately, the Riftblade was already on the Sanctuary Dynasty’s radar.

From the appearance of the Riftblade, they could pinpoint the one who had been launching recent assaults on their armies was Ye Liuyun.

"That’s it. It’s over. They’ll target Outpost Island next."

Ye Liuyun’s clone and Qiong Qi quickly realized that they had been exposed.

Without wasting any time, Ye Liuyun reached out to Mo Tianheng and the others to warn them about the situation. He urged them to stay hidden and avoid revealing their identities.

Since Qiong Qi had erased his memories, the Sanctuary Dynasty chose not to let him contact anyone, likely to avoid alerting potential enemies too soon.

Immediately afterward, Ye Liuyun used the Black Tower to teleport back to the God Realm.

By that time, Ye Tiandao and the rest of the allied forces had already moved far from Outpost Island. Ye Liuyun could summon them back to face the incoming threat if necessary.

However, even with their combined strength, they still stood no chance against the power of the Sanctuary Dynasty. He also had no intention of starting a direct conflict.

Instead, he sent a warning to Ye Tiandao and Yuan Hao, advising them to remain cautious and avoid any confrontation with Sanctuary Dynasty for now.

Meanwhile, the Sanctuary Dynasty confirmed Ye Liuyun’s involvement through the exposed Riftblade. They realised that he was responsible for the recent attacks at Outpost Island.

Soon, they began to mobilize. They planned to dispatch one million troops along with several second-rank martial practitioners to launch an assault on Outpost Island.

At their current speed, even the faster martial practitioner troops would take more than two months to arrive.

With that in mind, Ye Liuyun began discussing with his allies how they should respond to the looming threat.

Since Outpost Island had been exposed, Moyana Island would inevitably be discovered as well. The two realms had remained interconnected for a long time, and such a link could not be concealed from powerful experts.

"The Sanctuary Dynasty will only target you. They’re unlikely to harm ordinary civilians."

Some advisors urged Ye Liuyun to abandon the islands entirely. They advised him to focus on relocating all martial practitioners and resources into the Spatial World to avoid unnecessary losses.

However, Ye Ling offered a bolder suggestion. "In that case, why not simply absorb both worlds into the Spatial World altogether?"
