Chapter 2282: Chapter 2282 Sowing Discord

Ye Liuyun had an extensive discussion on the strategies with the group.

"Allying might lead to more challenges," Ye Liuyun spoke out loud. "Since both sides have their own concerns, how about we set up a Conveyor array? We could then pool our resources and send reinforcements to each other if the foreign race attack."

As a result, he suggested an ally with less commitment.

With his brow furrowed, Yuan Hao asked, "But who would foot the bill for the soldiers deployments? If we are to fund our troops, there’s little incentive for us to act. If they are expected to pay, asking for too little would be a loss, yet asking for too much will risk rejection for help."

"By the time they are compelled to request for reinforcement, they may not even have the resources left to do so."

"In my opinion, we should just defeat them, and all issues will be resolved!" Qiong Qi made a direct interjection.

"What good would they be to us if we got rid of all their experts?" Quickly, Mo Tianheng shot down Qiong Qi’s proposal.

Just as Ye Liuyun was overwhelmed by the bombardment of different opinions, an idea struck him. He posed a question to them. "What if we treat the three dynasties as part of our world? What would we do?"

"What do you mean?" Zhao Hu asked, puzzled.

"I mean, rather than seeing them as an independent entity, we consider them an extension of our own," Ye Liuyun remarked.

"Think of it like we are the central region of the God Realm, and they are the western region, separated by the vast, impassable Endless Sea."

From this vantage point, they were able to tackle the problem more efficiently. After adopting this line of thinking, the group experienced an epiphany, and the problem was now clear and straightforward.

Ye Liuyun, enlightened by his own idea, went on to say, "Thinking about it, there’s no immediate need for us to resort to force."

"Our current relationship is similar to two unrelated regions, each minding their own business and not forming an alliance. We are neither enemies nor allies."

"Hence, we need to cultivate mutual understanding and trust by exchanging resources and martial artists as part of our approach."

"For the time being, neither side is releasing reinforcements into the battlefield. Depending on the circumstances, we may address the matter again when it becomes necessary."

"What about the Emerald Essence Liquid?" Qiong Qi was still fixated on the resources here.

With a grin on his face, Ye Liuyun said, "Let’s establish a teleportation channel between us and to that martial artists and resources may flow freely." Contestants may compete for the resources if they are interested, and the best among them shall prevail."

"Are you saying that everyone has to depend on their own abilities to get what they want?" Qiong Qi tried to verify his understanding.

"Exactly!" Ye Liuyun affirmed.

"If that’s the case, there’s a chance that some of our resources may be looted as well," Yuan Hao voiced his worry.

"Certainly, it goes both ways! Our capacity to safeguard our resources is crucial. As a unified empire, I believe we have a greater advantage in mobilizing troops and martial artists compared to being separate entities." Ye Liuyun explained.

After the elaborated discussion, everyone agreed with Ye Liuyun’s proposal.

Ye Liuyun approached the three commanders, including Manfeng, and offered his proposition.

However, despite much waiting, no reply came from them.

Ye Liuyun actively sought out information from Manfeng and others, but he learnt that the three dynasties had yet to conclude their discussion.

Meanwhile, the findings of Lin Luoyi’s medication efficacy test were in. Her realm progress was especially noteworthy because she only had one virtuoso. She made a huge leap from the primary eighth level to the primary ninth level.

Her physical prowess had also significantly increased. The Emerald Essence Liquid made a noticeable impact.

Ye Liuyun had already devised his own strategies before disclosing the results.

Since the three dynasties could not reach a consensus it indicated substantial internal conflicts among them. He could exploit these internal disputes to his advantage.

He intended to offer benefits to first gain the allegiance of a dynasty.

This tactic served as both a means of causing strife and setting an example.

Everyone agreed with his concept when he first proposed it.

"If we don’t exert some pressure on them, they will continue to put things off." Qiong Qi suggested.

He even recommended that they each look for resources to carry out their idea.

"Everyone else can leave, but you must stay. We might need you to set up the Conveyor Formation."

To Qiong Qi’s annoyance, Ye Liuyun persisted. For the moment, though, he was forced to put up with it for the benefit of the partnership.

Ye Liuyun said, "It’s not just you. If anyone else departs, they’ll be spotted by the allied forces. We’re not in a hurry."

"After fabricating the energy conversion artefact and exchanging the next batch of supplies, we will pretend to leave, then stealthily return."

Ye Liuyun then sent his clone, cloaked in Concealcape, far from the camp to scout for a suitable location. He recorded the coordinates to ensure they could return via the Black Tower.

Meanwhile, Qiong Qi assisted Ton Xin in researching the energy conversion artifact to speed up the process.

Conflicts with the foreign races persisted, with periodic outbreaks of smaller-scale battles. Since the three dynasties forbade the partnership allies from taking the lead, the allied forces were content to sit on their hands and wait for an opportunity to strike.

Most of the combatants in these infrequent conflicts were martial practitioners who had to restock their weapons, elixirs, and other supplies after each battle. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

As a result, the weapons and elixirs that Ye Liuyun had sold to the merchant guild earlier were in great demand. The word got around fast that a guild close by had gotten a shipment of premium items. Despite the high prices, the quality was outstanding.

In addition, many martial practitioners bought timber to construct sturdy homes, which served their purpose admirably because the houses were excellent.

Manfeng swiftly ordered his soldiers to investigate after hearing these reports, and he even went so far as to buy samples to test it out.

"Check out these weapons and elixirs. Are we even capable of making such things? And this timber! Where on our land do trees grow to be this big?" Manfeng questioned Song Tianyang and Gong Lei with a skeptical tone.

"Yes, our blacksmiths and alchemists could make weapons and elixirs of the ninth grade. However, to produce them in such massive quantities would require extensive preparation and time."

"About this timber, it may have been transported from another secret realm. But it’s definitely not native to our region!" Song Tianyang asserted firmly.

"Are you implying that these items were sold by Ye Liuyun and his group?" Gong Lei inquired.

With a nod, Manfeng confirmed. "There’s a good chance!" Don’t you find it unusual that there has been a surge in the arrival of high-quality elixirs, weapons, and enigmatic wood?"

"Did they dispatch someone to handle these deals? They’ve been under our constant surveillance, haven’t they?" Song Tianyang enquired, perplexed.

"I can only assume they’ve figured out how to avoid our watchful eye! I believe it is critical that you inform your dynasty about this, Gong Lei. Because this merchant guild is under your authority." Manfeng urged, "Have your men trace the origin of these resources, the traders’ background, and the exchange’s specifics."
