"That’s the past now. Besides, you’ve already had your revenge, so let’s not bring it up again! I do have the information you want,"
The Witch quickly changed the subject to avoid any misunderstanding.
As she spoke, she revealed several Exorcism Stones and handed them to Ye Liuyun for verification.
"Indeed, these are the real things," Ye Liuyun verified.
"These stones don’t belong here. There is a portal in our clan that leads to another realm. Some of our predecessors had explored the place before. These stones were found there." Witch calmly detailed to Ye Liunyun.
"So you’re saying these Exorcism Stones came from the foreign race’s realm? Wasn’t the portal sealed by the Formation?" Ye Liuyun inquired, his brow furrowed in thought.
The Witch explained patiently, "These stones were retrieved by our ancestors before the portal was sealed by Formation. We kept them hidden, fearing they might fall into human hands and be used against us."
"When our ancestors ventured into that realm long ago, they found an abundance of such ores. However, they dared not bring back too many. They were concerned about the potential threat to our kind."
"And now you’re not worried ?" Ye Liuyun countered, his tone laced with scepticism.
"The Revival Dynasty is too powerful. We must be realistic to not oppose you. It’s better to let you use these stones to fend off the foreign race. In a way, it’s also a means to protect ourselves."
"Besides, to me, these stones were merely materials. True strength doesn’t rely on such things. Weapons can kill, but we never stop anyone from using them, do we?"
The Witch spoke to him with a pragmatic calmness.
