After dealing with the martial practitioners who wreaked chaos in several cities under Mo Xiaotian’s instruction, Ye Liuyun made his way back to Inferno City. Nevertheless, a couple of days after he got there, Qion Qi came looking for him.
"It seems like you won’t be able to cultivate in peace!" Qiong Qi chuckled as he teased.
"What’s going on?" Ye Liuyun asked.
Qiong Qi pulled out two Formation discs with maps engraved on them to show Ye Liuyun.
"Do you see those red dots?" Qiong Qi asked.
Ye Liuyun nodded. On these two dark Formation Discs, the red dots were extremely conspicuous.
He knew right away that one of the maps was the map of Inferno City.
Out of a total of six red dots, two red dots were close together, and one dot appeared somewhat bigger than the others,
The other map, which had only two red spots, was unfamiliar to Ye Liuyun.
"I’ve devised a new formation. I’ve improved the formations for Inferno City and other military encampments. Once a martial practitioner as powerful as the Twin Strike of the advanced ninth realm enters the city, these red dots will appear on the array disc.
According to Alora Crystal’s sensitivity, the red dot would appear larger in relation to the strength of the opponent. Qiong Qi filled Ye Liuyun in on the details.
Astonished, Ye Liuyun lauded Qiong Qi for his extraordinary achievement. However, he was startled by the information and instantly took out his Sound Transmission Talisman to promptly warn Yu Xiaofeng and Ye Tiandao not to leave the city lord’s Manor.
Without delay, he ordered Qiong Qi to assist in protecting Yu Xiaofeng and Ye Tiandao. Ye Liuyun, along with his clone, stealthily left the residence. Based on the positions of the red dots, he began his search for those experts in Inferno City.
The first expert in his search list was the largest red dot.

At this point, Ye Liuyun retrieved a cane from the Interspatial Ring belonging to the Guardian of the Nation, Wu Bing.
"Old man, would this be suitable for you?" he jested smilingly.
With a mischievous grin, Qiong Qi enthusiastically nodded, "Haha, isn’t this Wu Bing’s Fiery Tempest Staff? I love it! an inconvenient old man like me could really use a cane!"
He wasted no time claiming the cane and began refining it.
Upon completing the staff’s refinement, Ye Liuyun asked, "Wouldn’t you like to test it out?"
"No, no, no, what’s the point of flaunting a cane?" The thought that Ye Liuyun would realise the staff’s power and wanted it back.
Because he was a fire-attribute cultivator, the cane would multiply his fire assaults by tenfold. The power he would achieve with the cane would be immense compared to what Wu Bing could ever wield.
Ye Liuyun smiled and didn’t press further.
He was aware of how much power the cane held. He simply did not want to resort to relying on external forces.
Qiong Qi assisted him in developing the Formation to identify martial practitioners. Considering how much time and effort Qiong Qi had put into it, Ye Liuyun felt compelled to express his appreciation.
At the same time, Mo Xiaotian sat at a desk, lost in thought.
None of the 10,000 praetorians, three National Defenders, and one National Guardian that he had dispatched returned.

"Who knows! Let’s find out together!" the old man replied.
"Why can’t we just kill him? Wouldn’t that be easier?" the little girl asked again.
"I don’t know either! Anyway, we should just follow orders!" the old man sighed as they walked towards the Conveyor Formation...
Half a month later, Qiong Qi came to show Ye Liuyun the map disc again.
"We have two visitors!" Qiong Qi chuckled as he reported.
Ye Liuyun nodded and swiftly transformed himself and his clone with Phantom Illusion into the Black-Armored Guard’s image. They hurried with Qiong Qi to the spot’s location.
Moments later, Ye Liuyun was astonished to find themselves at a teahouse. The two bright red specks turned out to be an elderly man and a little girl.
