The platform beneath Ye Liuyun’s feet started to activate. He estimated that he would soon be teleported any moment now. By the time Elder Kurong fully awakened, he would probably be out of sight.

Not long afterwards, Elder Kurong stepped in to join them. Upon seeing him, Yao Donglai and the others rose to pay their respects.
Elder Kurong may not be the head of the sect, but his seniority and prowess were such that not even Yao Donglai dared to act arrogantly around him.
Elder Kurong nodded his head before asking Yao Donglai, "Sect leader, what’s the situation with this disciple?"
"He killed over three thousand foreign races in combat testing, his physical body can resist eighth-level formation and he came out of the Divine Soul test in less than half an hour," Yao Donglai instantly replied.
At that moment, the elders were wondering if Elder Kurong was also interested in taking in a disciple.

Feral beasts roamed the dense forest around the lake. Their levels ranged from the middle of the sixth to the beginning of the eighth level. The beasts were too powerful for most disciples to defeat. It seemed the beasts were specifically chosen to be in the testing field.
He launched his Divine Sense to observe and discovered that this place was riddled with uncountable hazards.
Hundreds upon hundreds of sand rats were advancing on him, even from beneath him. The beasts in the woods and the Anaconda in the lake stared intently at him, waiting for an opportunity to strike.

Ye Liuyun made a swift turn and charged toward the dense forest below. Upon entering the forest, he used his Xenocide-hidden Skill and hid behind a huge tree.
Even though the Golden Eagle was at the eighth level, its Divine Soul power wasn’t as strong as Ye Liuyun’s. It soared past Ye Liuyun’s head without detecting him.
Just as Ye Liuyun was about to breathe a sigh of relief after evading the Golden Eagle’s strike, he saw a swarm of Man-eating Plants charging towards him.

The Man-eating plants’ realms were not high, but their vines were extremely resilient. Once one was wrapped by it, it would be hard to be torn off, especially since he was facing so many man-eating plants. Such a plant grew all over the dense forest.

Ye Liuyun continued to displace the attacking man-eating plants, throwing them at the Golden Eagle’s legs and wings.
These plants that prey on humans showed no signs of timidity. Their roots were so lengthy that not only they could bite the golden eagle, but also coiled their vines toward it.
Ye Liuyun kept moving those Man-eating Plants upwards, tossing them all onto the Golden Eagle.
The Golden Eagle’s claws had already descended and could easily grab Ye Liuyun.
However, it too was entangled by the Man-eating Plants. It realized that the situation was turning not in its favour, it changed course and flew away. Its wings were tightly bound by the Man-eating Plants, severely impeding its flight.
Not to mention there were still countless Man-eating Plants that managed to climb up its body with their vines. Given its enormous size, it sank into the dense forest.
With a deafening thud, the Golden Eagle’s massive body crashed onto the ground, causing a large swathe of forest to collapse.
Once it dropped, all the Man-eating Plants immediately swarmed at it.
As it fell, the golden eagle emitted a high-pitched screech. Despite its considerable strength, it only relied on its sharp beak, claw or wings as weapons.
Unfortunately, it had lost the ability to fly and its beak couldn’t reach most spots. Hence, it was unable to escape the onslaught of Man-eating Plants and was eventually being devoured by them.
