"So, you’re a member of the Lin family! But why haven’t I met you before?" Mu Lianqing continued to probe for information about Ye Liuyun.
"I just returned from the battlefield against the foreign races, and this is only my second time in the Regalty," Ye Liuyun explained.

"Oh? Really?" The elder looked towards Ye Liuyun, surprised and delighted.
"I humbly ask for your guidance, senior!" Ye Liuyun politely responded.
"Ha ha, very good, excellent, a promising youth indeed! Now is the time for the younger generation to shine! Come with me!"
Master Yao, pleased, led the two of them towards the test venue.
Lin Xiyao stood at a distance, careful not to disturb their examination.
"Have you attempted the alchemist test before?" Master Yao asked with a beaming smile.
"No." Ye Liuyun answered honestly.
"Then who did you study under?"
"I’m from the Mortal Realm and I do not have a mentor in the God Realm," replied Ye Liuyun directly.
"The Mortal Realm? Someone from the Mortal Realm can concoct a Level 4 elixir?" Master Yao was somewhat incredulous, but he nonetheless continued, "Since you haven’t taken the test before, let’s proceed according to the rules."
"I will respectfully follow the instructions!" Ye Liuyun replied.
Master Yao felt quite satisfied with his modest demeanor. Many fourth-rank Alchemists did not speak as politely as Ye Liuyun.
"Alchemist tests are divided into four parts: identifying medicinal herbs, knowledge of theories, control of the Fire, and the concoction of elixirs..." Ye Liuyun listened attentively as he explained.
The first-rank Alchemist assessment began.
Master Yao took out three types of herbs and had Ye Liuyun name them. Then came the second part, had Ye Liuyun explain the characteristics of these herbs.
