Chapter 1762: Chapter 1762 No Guilt

The guard dared not touch Liu Congfeng, but he was willing to brutally punish the two erring sales assistants.

However, what Ye Liuyun wanted was not just punishment. For such petty people, he would never give them a chance to harbor resentment if he decided to take action.

Ye Liuyun sneered, "I’ll give you a choice. Take these five million spiritual stones and cut off their heads, or go find Liu Congfeng and have him apologize to me. If you can’t, prepare for the guild’s punishment!"

Turning to Lan Xin, he asked, "How much is a guard worth in Alora Crystals?"

Before she could answer, Ye Liuyun waved his hand dismissively. "Never mind. A billion spiritual stones should be enough to buy his life."

This was a blatant threat, intimidating others with money!

The guard captain stood frozen, unable to believe Ye Liuyun’s relentless demand for an explanation.

With Ye Liuyun’s wealth, he could easily be killed in countless ways. As a mere guard captain, he was insignificant in the guild’s eyes.

If Ye Liuyun was willing to spend the money, many would be eager to deliver his head. It wouldn’t even take a billion Alora Crystals, ten or twenty million would suffice.

Clenching his teeth, the guard captain pocketed the five million spiritual stones. "Thank you, Mr. Ye." He then drew his saber.

"Please, no! We don’t deserve to die!" The two women cried out.

"Whether you deserve to die is not for you to decide. It’s up to me!" Ye Liuyun said coldly.

"Swish!" The guard captain swiftly decapitated both women.

He then collected their bodies into his interspatial ring and bowed to Ye Liuyun before leaving.

Ye Liuyun motioned for Lan Xin to open the door, allowing the guard captain to exit.

After he left, Lan Xin fully grasped the situation. "You did this for me? How did you know they incited Liu Congfeng?"

Ye Liuyun looked at her without saying a word.

Lan Xin did not ask any further, but she sighed, "Why go to such lengths? They were just jealous. Spending five million Alora Crystals on such people is hardly worth it."

"It’s not about worth. It’s about leaving no loose ends."

Ye Liuyun replied calmly, then returned to his cultivation chamber.

Lan Xin felt deeply moved. The news would soon spread among the guides, ensuring no one would dare to harm her again.

"But how long can you stay here?" Lan Xin wondered. Once Ye Liuyun left, things would return to their old ways.

She considered whether she should shamelessly ask him for the money to buy her freedom. She even thought about offering herself in return.

If Ye Liuyun freed her, she would serve him willingly. In the Martial Arts Dao world, the weak are prey to the strong, and even if she bought her freedom, survival would be difficult on her own.

Yet, she couldn’t understand Ye Liuyun’s intentions.

Destroying the Liu family and killing the guides. What did he want? She felt she had nothing to offer but her body.

After much hesitation, she finally resolved to approach Ye Liuyun in his cultivation chamber.

Ye Liuyun was deep in training within the Xuankong Stone. Noticing her entry, he stepped out to inquire.

"Do you need something?" He asked directly.

"Mr. Ye, I cannot repay your kindness. I am willing to offer myself as a token of gratitude. Rest assured, I am still pure and not a promiscuous person," Lan Xin said, beginning to remove her outer garments.

"I never had such intentions. You misunderstand. I don’t need your service. Please leave," Ye Liuyun quickly intervened.

"But Mr. Ye, you’ve done so much for me..." Lan Xin was confused.

"I didn’t do it solely for you. I act according to my conscience, not expecting anything in return. Now, go and focus on your cultivation," Ye Liuyun explained.

He truly acted on principle, believing it was the right course of action.

"Is it because you find me unattractive?" Lan Xin asked, unwilling to let go.

"No, it has nothing to do with your appearance. We are merely acquaintances. I’m helping because I can, that’s all."

Ye Liuyun finished speaking and returned to his training within the Xuankong Stone.

Lan Xin, feeling awkward, dressed and left.

"It seems he’s genuinely not driven by desire."

She couldn’t figure out what Ye Liuyun wanted. She thought maybe he was just acting according to his preference.

Right after she settled her mind, there was a knock at the door.

She hurried to open it and found an elderly man and a young man standing outside.

"Is Mr. Ye in?" The young man asked with a smile.

"Who are you?" Lan Xin asked, puzzled. Ye Liuyun hadn’t mentioned expecting visitors.

"No need for questions. Fetch Ye Liuyun," the old man said, releasing a wave of pressure that forced Lan Xin back a few steps. He then ushered the young man into the room and closed the door. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Sensing trouble, Lan Xin rushed to find Ye Liuyun.

"Mr. Ye, something’s wrong. Intruders!" She reported urgently.

Ye Liuyun was annoyed when he saw Lan Xin breaking in again.

Ye Liuyun emerged to assess the situation.

"Oh, a martial practitioner at the fourth tier’s early stage?" Ye Liuyun’s Golden Phantom Eyes discerned the intruder’s cultivation level through the wall.

He signaled the Devil Vine to prepare for action

He then followed Lan Xin to the living room.

"Uninvited guests, what business do you have?" Ye Liuyun asked boldly.

The fourth-tier martial practitioner had been observing him, but his intentions were unclear.

The young man stood and bowed. "Apologies for the intrusion, Mr. Ye. I am Xuan Yuanhong."

"You are from the Mystique Mart?"

Ye Liuyun deduced from their location and the young man’s surname.

"He is the eldest son of the Mystique Mart. He manage their business here," Lan Xin informed him through sound transmission.

"Indeed. I manage the Mystique Mart here," Xuan Yuanhong replied.

"Seven days," Ye Liuyun said cryptically.

Lan Xin was confused, but Xuan Yuanhong and the elder understood immediately.

"That’s why I’m here," Xuan Yuanhong admitted.

"You already knew I could solve it?" Ye Liuyun asked, intrigued.

"Not certain, but we wanted to try our luck," Xuan Yuanhong responded with a smile.

The elder beside him asked excitedly, "Can you do it?"

Lan Xin remained clueless about their discussion but she didn’t dare to ask.

She sensed that Xuan Yuanhong had something important to tell so she bowed and prepared to leave.

"Stop!" the elder moved to block her path.
