Chapter 2800: Chapter 2809: The Only One in the World
He spoke so bossily, but in reality, he still felt sorry for Enna Clark, and didn’t actually make her unable to get out of bed.
Just once, he let Enna Clark off the hook.
Even so, Enna still felt as though her waist was going to break. Exhausted, she lay limply on the bed, letting the tall, handsome man take her to the bathroom for a bath and then bringing her back to the bed.
"So tired..."
"Mm, rest early."
Baron Lawrence lay beside her, habitually pulling her into his embrace. Suddenly, remembering what Enna had said before, his left hand naturally rested on her waist, starting to massage it.
"Mmm..." Enna was so tired she could hardly open her eyes, letting out a soft sigh of comfort.
Baron’s thin lips curled up, gazing at her peaceful profile, he leaned down and kissed her lips softly, whispering, "Sleep, I’ll give you a massage."
"Okay." After being exhausted for two days straight, Enna couldn’t take it anymore; her eyelids felt so heavy they couldn’t stay open. She murmured a yawn, "Baron, I’m going to sleep first, goodnight."
"Goodnight, Mrs. Lawrence."
The three words, Mrs. Lawrence, were sweet to the core.
But unfortunately, Enna didn’t have the energy to notice how he called her, and before long, she was already breathing evenly... Baron didn’t disturb her, continuing to massage her for another half an hour before closing his eyes and firmly holding her in his arms, falling asleep with her.
...
The next morning, Baron got up early to head to the company.
He had been abroad for three days, and many plans at the Lawrence Family were awaiting his decision.
Enna slept until nine o’clock, only waking up when Emily Goldsmith called her to ask if she had gone out yet. She quickly got up, freshened up, found a dress in the cloakroom, applied some light makeup, and hurried out the door.
Scott Harris drove her to the press conference venue and it was nearly ten o’clock.
The press conference was scheduled for ten.
Enna got out of the car and quickly called Emily, "Emily, where are you, have you gone inside yet?"
"No, I’m waiting for you outside."
Enna looked around and didn’t see her, "I’m outside too, why can’t I see you?"
Just as she finished speaking, she heard Emily’s voice from the car in front of her, "Here! Enna."
Turns out Emily was also in the car and hadn’t gotten out.
Enna walked over and was surprised to find that Emily, like her, chose a white dress. Not too eye-catching but not too casual either.
Coincidentally, both of them chose something from Prada.
Luckily, it wasn’t from the same collection, or it would have been awkward.
"Enna, you bought this dress?" Emily also noticed their coincidence in choosing the same brand and color dress today and looked at Enna’s dress in surprise, enviously saying, "It’s so pretty, this dress is indeed beautiful. I really wanted to buy it before, but the one you’re wearing is a handmade Prada piece, with only one in the world. When I saw the design draft and wanted to buy it, their brand manager told me the dress was already reserved by a VIP. Turns out the VIP was you."
"Uh, I didn’t know." Enna didn’t know this dress was one-of-a-kind globally; all her clothes were prepared by Baron Lawrence. She thought this dress was just a Prada dress, "Had I known, I wouldn’t have worn this out. What do I do now, it’s too late to go back and change."
