Chapter 394: Chapter 393: Gave Her Another Dad

Everyone around was waiting to see the spectacle, to see how Fly would clash with Langston Caldwell. As soon as South Grant finished speaking, Fly’s legs went weak, and suddenly he dashed in front of Langston with a soft and cute voice that seemed unlike his previous self.

"Grandpa, when did you come out of retirement?"

Langston Caldwell looked at Fly with disdain, "When did I get a grandson like you? How come I didn’t know? And what do you mean by coming out of retirement, am I a monkey?"

Fly didn’t know Langston was South Grant’s mentor; he regretted saying those offensive words earlier and started trying to say nice things.

"No, no, that’s not what I meant. I said you came out of retirement because you’re a master, and masters usually live in seclusion. I get that. It’s fine if you don’t know me; Dad South is my mentor, and you’re his mentor. As they say, once a mentor, always a father. By that logic, you are my grandpa."

Langston originally couldn’t stand Fly, but that saying "once a mentor, always a father" made him feel particularly at ease.

"That’s right, that’s right, once a mentor, always a father, there’s no falsehood in that." After saying this, Langston turned and looked at South Grant: "South, did you hear that? You have a good eye for choosing disciples."

South Grant was sitting there eating snacks, but after being suddenly called out, his face turned a bit dark.

He initially meant well, just trying to remind Fly that Langston was his mentor, more adept, to prevent the kid from getting beaten up again.

Who knew the kid would be so shameless, clinging to the thigh and calling grandpa straight away? Now it’s okay; calling him grandpa is no big deal, but he’s inadvertently added a father for himself.

"I never said he is my disciple." South Grant never admitted from start to finish that Fly was his disciple.

At this moment, Langston Caldwell, with a smile on his face, waved his hand and said: "It’s fine if you don’t acknowledge him as your disciple, but just now, I heard you admit with my own ears that I’m your mentor. This kid has good insight, and he speaks well. Once a mentor, always a father; you can’t escape this fatherhood."

South Grant: "..."

Who would have thought that eating a snack would end up backfiring on him?

South Grant ignored him, and this matter quickly passed. Fly no longer pestered South Grant, and instead, hovered around Langston Caldwell, eagerly flattering him.

South Grant found some peace. At this moment, sitting beside him were Rosalind Sutton and Caleb Holt. The server opened the wine, and as South Grant was about to drink, Caleb Holt covered South’s glass.

Then Caleb Holt handed South a glass of juice.

"South, you drink this."

South Grant looked at Caleb Holt, thinking, finally, Nathan Foster isn’t around to keep an eye on everything, and now there’s Caleb Holt.

"I’ll just drink a little."

"Not even a little." Caleb Holt said with a stern face.

"Why are you more of a pain than my uncle? At least my uncle lets me drink a little..." South Grant said, suddenly recalling something.

Oh no...

He left Nathan Foster hanging at the airport. If that launch ceremony was important enough to ditch Nathan once, so be it.

But after the launch ceremony, he went out with this group without even giving Nathan Foster a call or sending a message. This was a bit of a problem.

"I have something to do, you guys drink first." South Grant hastily tried to leave.

Rosalind Sutton pulled him back, puzzled: "What happened? You just got here, and you’re about to leave."
