Chapter 366: Chapter 365: Taking the Initiative in Love
"What are you thinking about? Not going to answer me?"
Nathan Foster snapped back to attention and looked down at South Grant, who was blinking her eyes, looking at him.
"Someone’s coming. I was just thinking about what to have him teach you." Nathan spoke while looking into South Grant’s eyes, clearly sensing the difference from her violent personality.
Their eyes were noticeably different. Right now, her eyes were clean and clear, occasionally lighting up with a lively sparkle when she smiled and talked.
But when the violent personality emerged, her pupils would slightly scatter.
Those eyes lacked the liveliness they had now, and instead, carried a bit of a somber chill.
Without the authenticity they have at this moment, Nathan was convinced that the person in front of him was the primary personality.
South Grant thought about starting martial arts training with a master tomorrow and was extremely excited.
"I’m not picky. I’ll learn everything."
Seeing her so excited, it was obvious she had a keen interest in this.
"Back when you were with the Grant Family, what was the martial arts master’s name your father hired for you?"
South Grant furrowed her brows, trying to recall something from long ago.
The master had left when she was just ten. Including her past life, it had been eighteen years since she last saw that martial arts master.
"I was young back then. My dad told me to call him uncle, so I don’t even know his name."
Nathan was a bit surprised upon hearing this, realizing that Ian Grant must have been very familiar with this martial arts teacher.
He had previously asked Ivan Keller to investigate everything about South Grant, yet there was not a single mention of this martial arts teacher. Nathan felt there was something he didn’t know about here.
Since this person was arranged by Ian Grant back then, the key issue still lay with Ian Grant. He had to find a way to thoroughly investigate Ian.
"Tomorrow, when you meet him, have him develop a plan for you based on your current situation."
South Grant remembered Nathan’s mention of intensive training and couldn’t help feeling anxious, asking Nathan:
"Is it really going to be intensive training? Does that mean I won’t see you?"
"I’m just teasing you. This isn’t a martial arts novel. It’s not like they’ll write in the need for a retreat to train. We don’t need a retreat here. But even without it, I still won’t be around for the next month."
Hearing Nathan wouldn’t be around, South Grant immediately raised an eyebrow and asked him, "Where are you going?"
"I have a mission," Nathan said simply, without elaborating on what it entailed.
But South didn’t press further, knowing military matters are typically top-secret. Asking would only make things awkward for Nathan.
South Grant couldn’t help but pout, "Dating someone like you is the hardest. When you need them, they’ve got a mission. On birthdays, they’re in training. Far too long, and someone might swoop in and steal your spot."
Nathan’s face darkened, "Who dares!"
Seeing his tendency to get jealous at the drop of a hat, South burst into laughter.
"In your past life, you must have been a vinegar salesman," South joked, laughing so hard Nathan’s eyes glinted with danger. She quickly stopped, knowing it could become risky if she kept laughing.
South Grant cleared her throat and continued, "You should give your soldiers a break more often. Otherwise, their wives won’t stick around, and you’ll end up with a bunch of bachelors. You know, with men and women, the man should take the initiative; that’s how love grows."
"Initiative from the rooster?" Nathan raised an eyebrow at her, and seeing South nod, he smiled and said, "I will."
