Chapter 156: Ch:156 Tonic and Terror
Edwin cracked his neck, twisted his back and fingers, then marched forward as though heading into a sparring match.
Clara hurried after him, so close their shoulders nearly touched.
*Creak...*
"Hey, wake up," Edwin said, giving Parsnip’s shoulder a firm shake.
*Snore~*
’Son of a bitch, how can someone sleep like him when his wife is...’
"Mrs. Parsnip, is he all right? What happened to him?" Edwin asked, his tone serious.
Clara gave a small nod. "Yes."
Edwin thoroughly checked under the bed, inside the cupboards, by the windows, bathroom, and in the kitchen but found no one.
"Aaa! Ghost!" he shouted.
Clara jumped. "What?! Where!"
"There!"
She darted behind him, placing a palm against his back and peeking past his shoulder. "I don’t see any ghost, Mr. Edwin."
"I know," Edwin said. Then he turned and grabbed her shoulders, his grip firm.
Clara tried to pull away from him, but couldn’t. "W-what are you doing?"
"I’m doing what I should’ve done the moment I first saw you," he said, his tone cold.
"Get off me!" She pushed hard against his chest, but Edwin held on and pulled her closer, close enough that his hand slid inside her gown and tore her bra in one motion.
"Aah... Honey!" Clara gasped.
Parsnip didn’t respond.
*Snore~*
Clara’s gown was ripped away, revealing her warm body in the dim flickering lantern light. Cold wind slipped through the half-open window, and the moonlight spilling soft light into the dark night hid behind the black clouds.
"Anh! Annnh!! Ahhh!!"
Her raw screams echoed off the bedroom walls.
Edwin knew that Parsnip was drugged.
When he searched near the bed, he saw the medicine ’iron tonic’.
Knowing Parsnip would not wake up, he unleashed his hidden desires. Knowing no matter how loudly she screamed, no one would hear her.
It’s because the nearest houses were far away and the home sat on a hilly slope.
A dark, evil smile curled across Edwin’s lips.
With the obstacle removed, he gave himself over completely.
...
*plap-plap-plap*
He took Clara like a beast unleashed, pounding into her with unrelenting force. She lay helpless beneath him, like a trembling rabbit trapped in the lion’s den.
"Clara, you know I love you more than anything," Edwin murmured, his voice gentle as he hovered above her, still buried inside. "Why don’t we run away together? You divorce Parsnip and I’ll divorce my wife. We’ll leave this place behind and start a new life—just the two of us. Happy. Free."
For a moment, the room was quiet except for their ragged breathing.
Then Clara’s eyes flashed with disgust and spat at him.
Then Clara’s eyes flashed with disgust as she spat at him.
She tore into his looks, his flabby body, his weird beard — half brown, half white, with a few black strands — and mocked how pathetic and useless his cock was.
Edwin’s face twisted with rage. "How dare you..."
Then he shoved the fallen medicine into her mouth. Not one but four tablets. Clamping his hands over her lips until she swallowed.
Clara’s eyes widened in panic for a then slowly... her body went limp beneath him as the drug pulled her into a deep, unnatural sleep.
"If I can’t have you, then no one can have you."
Saying that, he rose from the bed.
From the fruit basket on the window table, he took a small but sharp knife. Without hesitation, he stepped over to Parsnip and sliced the blade across his throat in one clean motion.
Parsnip’s body jerked like a behaded chicken. A wet, gurgling gasp escaped him as dark blood poured from the wound.
His limbs twitched once, twice... then fell still.
"Number six, I promise, I’ll breed your wife till she forgets your name."
Meanwhile, Clara lay unconscious on the blood-speckled sheets, pale and helpless.
Edwin stared at her ass for a long moment. Then gathered her naked body into his arms, lifted her, carried her like a baby into the night back to his house.
He laid her on his own bed and climbed on top of her like a predator claiming its prize.
The wet sounds of his kisses filled the room.
However, what he didn’t know was that Daniel was crawling out of the shadows beside the bed, hidden from Edwin’s sight.
With Edwin’s attention fully consumed by Clara, Daniel slowly emerged from under the frame, silent as death.
He spotted a sword near the table — the same sword he had seen a couple of times in the cell.
His fingers closed around the cold hilt, gripping it tightly.
"Status," he whispered under his breath.
————————
Name: Edwin Remer
Age: 51
HP: 11100/11100
Mana: 7000/7000
Description: A man who had murdered ten people in his past — five married men, three married women, and two children. But due to his guard status and close ties with the nobility, he escaped punishment and now takes a disturbing pleasure in watching others suffer purely for his own amusement.
————————
Wow, a demon disguised as a human.
*Stab*
The sword plunged deep into Edwin’s back, the blade slicing through flesh and piercing a vital organ.
Edwin arched violently, a choked gasp tearing from his throat as white-hot pain exploded through his body.
He twisted his body, eyes wide with shock, but it was already too late.
Daniel ripped the sword free with a wet, sickening sound.
In one fluid motion, he swung the blade horizontally.
The edge sliced clean through Edwin’s hand — severing four fingers and part of his thumb.
Blood sprayed across the sheets and Clara’s pale skin.
"Aaaah!! Y-you—!" Edwin screamed, his voice fear
"You disgust me," said Daniel.
Merciless, he swung the sword again.
The blade sliced through Edwin’s manhood in a single vicious stroke. Before the scream could fully leave his throat, Daniel reversed his swing and brought the sword down in a powerful horizontal arc.
*THUD*
Edwin’s head tumbled to the floor with a heavy thud.
Blood burst from the severed neck, splattering across the bed and walls.
