Chapter 155: Ch:155 Bed bug
"Alright, I’ll see you in the morning. Number Five," the guard with the clean-shaven face said.
Suddenly, a blue translucent screen appeared in Daniel’s vision, inside the void.
[ Shadow linked successfully ]
[ Do you want to jump to another shadow ? Y/N ]
As the guard turned, the lantern light stretched his shadow, and it merged with another.
Wait, If I choose Yes, will this expose me?
Yet, there was no specific answer to that question.
The risk was unknown.
*tap*
Daniel clicked Yes.
His body stretched to the right with a forceful pull, so fast that it felt like his soul was being ripped from his body. Then, he found himself following the other guard.
[ 50% Mana has been used ]
Oh shit!
For a moment of freedom, he had forgotten the skill description. The skill drain one mana per second. Moreover, the guard he was following stepped into a hallway lined with torches mounted on the stone walls.
Before, Daniel had seen everything like an oval-shaped pond.
Now, as the torchlight spilled across the shadows, his vision also became covered around the edges with white light.
Soon, he would run out of mana. If he didn’t find a hiding spot, a place no one would suspect, or something that could conceal him—
he would be in serious trouble.
The guard climbed the stairs, turned, turned again, left and right then entered a room. It was dim, a bed on the center, wardrobe on the side, a table near a window that casted moon light.
*Crack-Crack*
The guard twisted his body, lit a fragrant incense stick, pulled off his clothes, and wrapped a towel around his waist.
[ 90% Mana has been used ]
Daniel panicked.
But to his surprise, the guard turned and opened another door.
"jump."
The guard’s shadow stopped at the doorstep. Daniel crawled out of the shadow, keeping his body close to the floor.
Daniel could hear water splashing against the surface, as though someone was bathing inside.
He hurried beneath the bed and checked whether there was enough space to hide.
There was, though it was far from comfortable.
Satisfied with his hiding place, he crawled back out, grabbed a few grapes and a banana from the fruit bowl on the table, then slipped beneath the bed once more.
*Creak...*
As Daniel ate the stolen grapes, a lady stepped into the room carrying a woven basket.
"Honey... I’m home," she said, her tone sweet.
"I’m almost done," a low voice came from the bathroom.
Daniel stayed calm and still, devouring the fruit in slow bites, waiting for time to pass. As every midnight, mana would fully restore.
...
Daniel’s ear twitched. He opened his eyes as though an earthquake was shaking the room.
*Plap-Plap-Plap*
He heard the sharp slap of skin against skin. The bed shook, its wooden frame creaking with each movement.
What is going on?
A few seconds later, it stopped.
"What the hell, honey? We haven’t even started yet," a woman’s voice demanded, frustration clear in her tone.
"Ahh, I know. But... it felt so good inside you that I can’t control myself," the guard said.
"Make it hard again," she said.
"I’m sorry honey, it doesn’t work like that," the man replied.
Below, Daniel watched as a pair of woman’s feet stepped forward, heavy and deliberate, moving toward a bag.
"Let’s see how you refuse me," she said, her tone sharp.
Several small, pill-like balls dropped from above, scattering across the bed with soft thuds.
"Mmph! Mmh!" A muffled sound came from above.
Daniel reached out and snatched one of the fallen objects and brought it close to his nose.
*Sniff~ Sniff~*
’What the fuck is this thing?’
It had a strong herbal smell, like marijuana and lemon, something that clouded his mind.
"Far," he whispered under his breath.
——————
Name: Iron Tonic
Type: Medicine
Description: A medicinal ball that works as a potent enhancer to increase a man’s penis size and sperm volume to the next level.
It only works before the climax. After climax it doesn’t work.
Warning: Consuming more than two at the same time can cause serious health issues. Overdose of wild thorns will make the person hallucinate, fall into deep sleep, or in the worst case, enter a coma.

"Come on, make it hard!" the woman demanded.
Yet the man, her husband, had already slipped into a deep, unnatural sleep. One of the many side effects of an overdose.
Daniel heard her unleash a torrent of frustrated curses, the kind of venomous words that would make any married man’s heart break into sixty-seven pieces.
*Clink-Clink-Clink*
A ring bounced off the surface and hit Daniel’s forehead. He grabbed it. Just then the woman dropped from the bed and began searching for it in silence.
Shit, not good.
Daniel panicked at the thought of getting caught as she searched near the bed. He nudged the ring forward, sending it rolling across the floor.
The ring came to a stop in the open.
Yet that only made things worse for him.
Her brows furrowed.
She was certain it had fallen beside the bed. So how had it ended up there?
The woman set the lamp behind her, stepped closer to the bed, and lowered herself to look underneath.
But before her eyes could find him, Daniel shot out a hand and grabbed her ankle.
She jolted in fright.
"Aaa!!"
"Honey! Honey, wake up! Wake up! There’s a ghost! Honey?!"
But her husband continued snoring, fast asleep.
Panic took over.
She bolted from the room, rushed outside, turned right, and thumped on her neighbour’s door.
*Knock! Knock! Knock!*
*Knock! Knock! Knock!*
Soon, the door creaked open.
"Hwaah... who the hel— Oh, Mrs. Parsnip. What happened? You look, terrified," the man said, his tone groggy.
It was none other than the guard with the moustache.
"Please help me. There’s a ghost in our room, Mr. Edwin," she said, her voice trembling.
"A ghost?" Edwin let out a faint chuckle, the kind of chuckle reserved for a child telling a fanciful story.
"Don’t worry, Clara. I’ll see what this ’ghost’ is all about."
