Chapter 1963: Chapter 1963: Feeding Guidelines (4)

The morning light penetrated through the clouds, casting a spreading golden glow over the mountains and fields, adding a faint layer of shadow and dispersing the lingering mist.

On the large bed, the man with tightly closed eyes seemed to find the light glaring, raising his hand to block the sunlight streaming in.

After a moment, he moved the hand covering his eyes and immediately saw the soft little bun lying beside him.

He stared briefly, recalling this was the little creature he impulsively picked up last night.

The little cat’s fluffy tail circled its body, its head buried downward, only showing a pair of furry, slightly pink ears.

Buzz—

The phone vibrated loudly, the little cat raised its head, serene lake blue eyes meeting the man’s gaze, its ears twitched and its tail swung, just landing on his wrist.

The fine fur brushed against the skin, causing a slight itch.

"Morning." The man raised his hand to touch Chuzheng’s head.

Chuzheng turned her head away in dissatisfaction. Are you permitted to touch the big boss’s head?

Being rebuffed, the man naturally withdrew his hand and picked up the constantly vibrating phone. He glanced at it and slid his finger to the left to hang up the call.

The man pulled off the thin blanket covering him and went into the bathroom to wash up.

Once dressed, the man opened the door, turned around, and Chuzheng immediately jumped off the bed, walking over with graceful steps.

The house remained empty, with the man preparing his own breakfast.

The man took a can, and when Chuzheng resisted eating it, he didn’t insist and shared a bit of his breakfast with her.

The bodyguard entered just as the man finished breakfast and pushed the door open.

"Sir, the car is ready."

"Mm."

The man pulled down his sleeves, patted Chuzheng’s head and said, "Stay home, don’t run around."

You couldn’t stop me even if I decided to run.

-

After the man left, Chuzheng circled the entire house. Many rooms were locked, and those which could be opened mostly had nothing inside.

Chuzheng also learned the man’s name—Shang Qi.

This large estate housed only him.

When Shang Qi left, he left a bodyguard behind. Chuzheng went downstairs and saw the bodyguard holding a phone while looking at the can in his hand, with several books beside him.

Chuzheng glanced at the book titles—

"Complete Guide to Cat Habits"

"Newbie Cat Owner’s Guide"

"What’s Wrong with Your Cat"

Chuzheng’s tail twitched, what was all this?

Can you imagine a nearly six-foot-three man holding such books? He not only read them but took notes seriously as if preparing for the college exam.

Chuzheng: "..."

Sorry to interrupt!

Time to sneak away.

-

On the other side of the city.

Shang Qi stepped down from the stage, as the applause behind him gradually became distant.

He took the water the bodyguard handed over, sipped a bit and swallowed: "Phone."

The bodyguard immediately handed the phone over.

Shang Qi walked outside, someone approached him: "Teacher Shang, we have another interview..."

"Not interested." Shang Qi refused without raising his head.

"Teacher Shang, it won’t take much of your time, just ten minutes, please consider..."

Shang Qi’s bodyguard expertly intercepted the person, escorting him through the VIP passage.

Sitting in the car, Shang Qi turned on the home surveillance.

He switched through several cameras but couldn’t find the figure he was looking for. His eyebrows barely furrowed.

Shang Qi continued switching cameras and finally found the little one on the third floor of the manor.

The snow-white bun lay on the balcony, resting on its paws, its tail dangling in the air, swaying in a leisurely manner.

"Did it eat anything?"

Shang Qi suddenly asked.

"Sir, Xiao Si said it’s not eating cat food or canned cat food. Xiao Si even learned to make cat meals, but it didn’t eat those either."

In short, it didn’t touch any cat-related food, spoiled and arrogant, Xiao Si couldn’t even pet it.

Of course, the bodyguard dared not voice this aloud.

Shang Qi pondered slightly, then said: "Cancel the dinner party, go back to the manor."

"Sir, wouldn’t that be inappropriate?"

Shang Qi glanced indifferently at the bodyguard, giving him a chill: "Alright."

The bodyguard made the call to cancel the upcoming dinner party and swiftly drove Shang Qi back to the manor.

Shang Qi pushed open the manor’s front gate, catching a glimpse of a white shadow darting from the front, sitting obediently and looking up at him.

After raising her head, Chuzheng felt the angle was wrong.

Immediately she jumped onto the nearby cabinet, looking down at Shang Qi from above.

Shang Qi: "..."

Shang Qi changed his shoes, took off his coat, reaching out to hold Chuzheng in his arms, caressing the back of her neck.

The man’s embrace was warm and broad, and the steady heartbeat could be heard.

Chuzheng didn’t mind Shang Qi hugging her; after all, he was her Good Person Card, which was to her advantage.

"You don’t like cat food and such?" Shang Qi seemed to be talking to himself: "How about eating with me from now on?"

Shang Qi already realized this little cat is not quite the same as other cats.

Her refusal to eat cat food wasn’t too hard to accept.

After all, she seemed to completely understand what he was saying.

Shang Qi changed his outfit and placed Chuzheng on the kitchen counter, started preparing ingredients, halfway through he took out his phone to look at it, then continued preparing.

Shang Qi was skilled at cooking, evidently it wasn’t something he rarely did.

He remained quiet as usual, Chuzheng didn’t talk either, so apart from the cooking sounds, it was silent.

He brought out the last dish from the kitchen and saw Chuzheng sitting on a chair, her little paws playing with her tail.

Her azure eyes were rounded, adding to her cuteness.

Shang Qi tapped the table with his fingers: "Time to eat."

Chuzheng promptly tucked her tail down, lifting her head to look at the table.

Shang Qi prepared three dishes and one soup, balanced with meat and vegetables, nutritious and healthy.

A small plate with a cat pattern was placed in front of her, with a little bowl of soup on the side, and a clean little napkin nearby.

The chair was purposely heightened, allowing Chuzheng to sit comfortably while eating.

Even as a cat, Chuzheng maintained her noble and aloof persona while dining, elegantly eating the food Shang Qi offered slowly.

"Are you full?"

Chuzheng nodded.

Only then did Shang Qi put down his cutlery, taking the napkin to carefully wipe Chuzheng’s mouth and paws.

Chuzheng stepped on the chair and directly leapt into Shang Qi’s arms.

Anyway, she was a cat now, taking advantage could hardly be punished!

Thinking this way, Chuzheng rested in his arms with peace of mind.

Shang Qi wanted to touch Chuzheng’s head, but facing her slightly fierce gaze, his hand had to land on the back of her neck.

Chuzheng remained in the arms, so Shang Qi had the bodyguard come in to tidy things up.

The bodyguard lived in the house behind, Chuzheng saw him return to fetch something earlier while on the upper floor.

Shang Qi carried Chuzheng upstairs, pushed open the study door, took out a book, and sat by the window.

Shang Qi flipped through two pages and suddenly looked at the little cat in his arms: "Do you have a name?"

Of course!

"How about I pick one for you?"

What are you going to choose? I have a name!! Who asked for your choice!!

Yet Chuzheng couldn’t speak now and wasn’t keen on meowing, so she only glared at Shang Qi.

Shang Qi lowered his gaze in thought, after a moment his lips moved slightly, uttering two words: "Yue Ban."

Fat?

There were words violating the core socialist values she wanted to say.
