Chapter 1915: Chapter 1915: Magic Apostle (36)
Wuno observed for a moment, seeing Suo Wei in a good mood, and hesitantly spoke: "I’m just curious, why does the young master like Miss Xue Laiya?"
All the people around Suo Wei, whether men or women, are good-looking.
Miss Xue Laiya is indeed quite attractive, but the young master who’s accustomed to seeing beauties couldn’t possibly be so superficial.
"How would I know? I just like her." Suo Wei pulled his legs up, hugged his knees, and softly said, "I’ve liked her since the first time I saw her."
Wuno was stunned.
Back then, the young master... didn’t he intend to teach Miss Xue Laiya a lesson?
Could it be that he misunderstood?
-
Chuzheng left that day, only to be retaliated against by Dila, being taken far away.
Dila seemed to have realized something and refused to take her back, despite its tantrums.
Chuzheng dared not do anything to it, after all, it’s the dragon of the Good Person Card, and there’s a pact involved.
So she could only beat Dila up and find her own way back.
Just as her carriage was entering the city, Wuno intercepted her with a group, bringing her to the Colosseum.
"Miss Xue Laiya, please wait here for a while, the young master will be here shortly."
With that, Wuno exited the room, closing the door behind him.
Chuzheng didn’t think much of it at first, but after waiting for a long time without Suo Wei appearing, she grew impatient and decided to open the door to check.
As soon as her fingers touched the door, a sting of pain shot through.
Chuzheng: "???
Magic?
Is this supposed to keep me here? What a joke! Who do they think they’re underestimating!
Good Person Card has gotten bold!
-
Suo Wei was currently at the Magic Association, lounging limply in a chair, his elbow resting on the table, spinning a Gold Coin between his fingers.
Sitting at the head was the president of the Magic Association, across from him was the Headmaster of the Magic Academy, and behind them were a lineup of big shots whose names held prestige.
Suo Wei’s side was empty, with only himself present.
"Suo Wei, we need you to provide an explanation for this matter."
"An explanation for what?" Suo Wei pressed his palm on the spinning Gold Coin: "Did I do something to harm the continent?"
The crowd: "..."
He really hadn’t.
Previously, he had actually saved many people.
"Pretending to be the Headmaster of the Magic Academy, writing letters to organize students to go to the ruins, wasn’t that you?"
Suo Wei released the Gold Coin from his grip, weighing it, and smiled heartily: "That wasn’t me."
"How could it not be you...?"
"Why do you say it was me? Is there someone proving it, or do you have evidence?" Suo Wei asked politely.
"But this matter..."
The president gestured for that person to stop speaking, then solemnly asked: "Where is Grey?"
"Dead." Suo Wei paused, emphasizing, "Really dead this time."
"What did you get from him?"
"Nothing at all."
"Impossible! Do you think we’re blind?" The fifth person from the opposite side slammed the table, angered: "You put in so much effort and got nothing, who are you lying to?"
Suo Wei innocently spread his hands: "If you don’t believe me, there’s nothing I can do. I’ve helped you all so much, and now you’re interrogating me like this, that’s not very nice."
"..."
Through rounds of negotiation, Suo Wei showed no unusual behavior. They requested to examine his body, and Suo Wei cooperated willingly.
The outcome was naturally nothing found.
And with the Elvish Family backing Suo Wei, they dared not do anything to him.
"Just let him go like this?"
"Otherwise, what way do you have to keep him here?"
"..."
-
Suo Wei walked out of the Magic Association, the scorching sunlight searing down, seemingly igniting his skin.
So hot...
Suo Wei climbed onto the waiting carriage by the roadside within a few steps. Ice blocks were already prepared inside, providing refreshing coolness.
Suo Wei exhaled comfortably.
The carriage sped back to the Colosseum, but even before entering, Wuno appeared with a troubled look.
"Young master, Miss Xue Laiya has left."
Suo Wei was surprised: "Didn’t I tell you to keep her there?"
Wuno: "..."
He tried his best!
"Has Dila returned?"
"It... it has returned, but it looks very unhappy." Wuno hesitated before quickly adding, "Dila was discovered by them, there might be trouble, should we send it away for now?"
Given Dila is a magic dragon.
Can those people easily let it go?
"It’s fine." Suo Wei was indifferent: "They couldn’t beat Dila before, do you think they can now?"
Wuno: "..."
Alright.
-
Chuzheng returned to her residence, the servants and Butler had been given leave, and had not yet returned, leaving the place empty.
Charles had stationed people outside her residence, and Chuzheng ’sent’ them away, letting herself rest comfortably first.
When she awoke, it was near dusk, the heat having eased.
The outside world had been in an uproar these past few days, those students were fine, apart from suffering from significant psychological trauma.
The only ones truly affected were Elsa and Nina.
The formation they initially stepped on was a key one, they had survived, but their condition was terrible.
Not only could they not perform Magic, but even when tested for magical aptitude again, it was only at the lowest level.
The two cherished daughters of the Son of Heaven couldn’t withstand such blows, both were throwing tantrums at their respective homes.
Both families were trying everything possible to restore their talents.
Chuzheng found it odd, how did they end up stepping directly onto that formation back then?
Was it Suo Wei?
But he wasn’t even there at the time.
Just as Chuzheng was thinking about the Good Person Card, she saw someone standing outside the gate through the window, the setting sun elongating his shadow, casting a warm hue over his silky blond hair.
He stood there alone, idly kicking the ground with his foot, occasionally fanning himself with his hand.
Chuzheng watched for a good while before going downstairs to open the door.
Suo Wei’s face was slightly flushed, sweat dripping down his cheeks, soaking his clothes, as the door opened, he looked over with damp eyes.
That gaze was...
Chuzheng averted her gaze: "What are you doing standing here?"
"Looking for you." Suo Wei exhaled: "I’m feeling really hot, can I come in?"
Chuzheng stepped aside, allowing him to enter: "How long have you been standing here?"
"Well... I came after lunch."
"???"
Chuzheng looked at Suo Wei curiously; he appeared very polite, but in crucial moments, he didn’t seem like someone who truly understood politeness.
"Didn’t know to come in yourself?" Her door wasn’t that high, and he wouldn’t need much effort to get in.
"You didn’t let me in." Suo Wei’s voice was soft, with a hint of grievance: "Why didn’t you wait for me to come back?"
Chuzheng asked ambiguously, "Weren’t you keeping me locked up to wait for you?"
"Um..." Suo Wei lowered his head: "I just wanted to see you."
Hmph.
Believe you? Not a chance.
Chuzheng pushed open the living room door, poured him a drink. The living room wasn’t too hot, Suo Wei held the cup, sipped a couple of times, then softly asked: "Can I take a shower?"
"Upstairs."
"Take me there, I don’t know the way." Suo Wei directly tugged on Chuzheng’s sleeve, looking at her innocently.
Chuzheng: "..." Such a pretender!
