Chapter 50: "I will help you out..."
Leo agreed as he drew his iron blade for extra security. The poison mist covered a radius of ten feet and a height of about five feet. If a red eye bat dog was drop from above,the poison mist would not have enough time to take effect before Leo had to receive their attacks.
And as Leo had predicted,red eyed bat dogs started dropping on him,but they could only manage an attack or two before the poison mist claimed their lives. And three minutes later when the poison mist faded,Leo was forced to fight the remaining three level two and the one level one red eye bat dog.
These creatures had a weird synergy. And it Leo a full five minutes before he could slay them. As for his condition,he was covered in blood but no bleeding wound,as the minor healing ability had kicked in a dozen of time, closing his bleeding wounds. As for the price of each heal,Leo had to sacrifice a full percentage of his energy.
"I can not continue..."
If he were at his peak strength,Leo could push himself to clear another floor or two,but with the exhaustion of his blood essence and the energy needed for his abilities to work,Leo had hit his limit.

But luckily for him,his efforts had not been wasted,as he had leveled up once and the rewards were still coming through.

Though Leo favoured the level boost card over everything else,he had to agree that theost useful and practical rewards were the uncommon ranked chests,as these provided him with resources for the development of his territory, and second practical rewards were the system issued summons,as these royal subordinates provided the needed labour.
After storing everything in the inventory,Leo decided to pick into the sixth tower.
System Alert: You have stepped on to the sixth floor...
System Alert: Challenge mode activated,prepare for battle...
"It seems that all the floors from the forth are the same..."
Leo observed,but when he saw the tens of red-eye bat dogs rashing at him,he quickly retreated from the sixth floor. Their numbers matched those of the common ranked red-eye dogs on the forth floor.
Back on the first floor,Leo found the system spirit waiting for him.
" Ithought you were recuperating..."
[I was,but I had to give master these...]
As the tower’s formation spirit spoke, fifteen bamboo tokens floated towards Leo,and he grabbed them all.
System Alert: You have received fifteen access tokens...
[Master can pass those to his subordinates...]
The formation spirit explained.
[Also, congratulation master on your advancement...]
The formation spirit said.
"Thank you..."
Leo said as he casted inspect on one of the bamboo tokens. He could tell that they were made from the same material as the mysterious tower’s door.

The token gives outsiders access to the tower. The master can limit access to any of the first three floors.
"So I can choose who goes where and doesn’t..."
Leo wished the tower’s formation spirit quick recovery and left the mysterious tower, shrinking it to its palm size and storing it away.
With his increase in strength, though still weak,he was no longer afraid of going out to hunt. According to his previous battle with the uncommon ranked red-eye bat dogs,his current strength was enough to win in a procrastinated battle,as the minor rejuvenation ability would give him a constant supply of energy,while the minor Heal covered up his bleeding and slowly healed the wounds beneath.
Though the three minutes time limit of minor poison was not enough,if timed well,it could be a great battle changer.
"Young lord...you...you..."
The merchant man was the first to spot Leo. The young lord’s aura had shocked him.
"You advanced...!"
The merchant man finally spit out the words that he dared not believe to be true. The merchant man was shocked by Leo’s aura. He could feel the suppression of a higher rank when Leo walked towards him.
"I did..."
Leo said as he walked towards the bust duo of Hu and Fort.
"Young lord’s talent is amazing..."
The merchant said as he peeked through the small tent folds, watching his wife sleeping at peace.
The man sighed,but a smile followed,he decided that come what,he was going to ensure that when his child was age,he will send them to work for the young lord. And hopefully some of young lord’s fortune would rub on them.
"I will help you out..."
The man said to his sleeping wife as he walked towards the young woman.
"Young Miss..."
The merchant called out to Miss Fortuna.
"Hmm...!"
"I don’t know my way around here,and I would like to make everyone a meal..."
"I hope young Miss is not that busy as to show this old self where the utensils and food stuffs are kept..."
The merchant had come across so many arrogant women,and this young woman was one of them,and he knew how to handle them. His secret was simple,it was the same method that he used on everyone,his ability, Persuade.
"Fine..."
The young woman said as she left the edge of the fire pit.
She had already made enough ash paste to complete the stone foundation,yet those two idiots were too slow to keep up with her pace. The two idiots were Hu and Fort,the two had already grown numb to the young woman’s grunts and stares.501
