Chapter 149: Sunfeather Firebird
Felix was helpless. Moon was adamant in not entertaining Ember. He didn’t force her.
He stared at Ember and said, "You are already more than ready to breakthrough to the Rare rank. Cases are your body and mind will grow to become an adult, but that will take some time for you to fully process it.
Are you ready?"
Ember enthusiastically expressed her desire to evolve to Rare rank.
Felix beamed a smile and sighed in relief. If Ember refused, then he didn’t have a choice but to meditate and give Ember the foods but unable to breakthrough.
Felix took out the purest available Solar Essence Crystal. Ember gazed at it and her fiery eyes sparkled. Her body became excited and her bloodline was stirred.
Felix chuckled. He had her sat on his lap, with Moon on his shoulder and Rain and Ashen each to his knees.
He said, "Close your eyes and let’s meditate. Ashen will having a breakthrough right now. Cooperate with me." His voice went stern.
Rain, Ashen, and Moon responded positively.
As soon as Felix pushed the Solar Essence Crystal to Ember’s mouth, they simultaneously. meditated.
What they did was to steal a portion of elemental energy from Felix’s body that they, except Ashen, had affinity with, causing his fire energy to surge up. However, once Ember consumed the Solar Essence Crystal, her body instantly consumed it, compelling her to consume energy from her surroundings.
Thankfully, Felix was already providing fire energy to her. The fire energy they radiated became so immense that Rain and Moon had to summon extreme concentrated energy to protect themselves.
Ashen wasn’t affected, but she was also summoning more fire energy to Ember so her evolution wouldn’t be held back from the fire energy.
It was the result of having a fire star potential.
Felix was even scared as he noticed that the consumption rate was becoming uncontrollable that his energy core wouldn’t last for a minute. He immediately drew more energy from his surrounding, but to no avail.
Just as anxiousness was about to consume him, he suddenly opened his eyes and found himself floating in the outer space.
He didn’t panic. He was already used to his consciousness being pulled to a different place.
He was facing a broken object floating in front of him. It was twice massive than him and he could feel the heat being regenerated by it.
Felix scrutinized the floating broken object up close and his eyes widened.
He realized it was just a fragmented piece.
Suddenly, the broken object began to heal itself. It took an hour to fully complete itself.
That was then Felix realized he was staring at a sun.
Indeed, a sun.
The fire energy that was being released at its current state was deeply immense that it was radiating a fire, similar to a sun.
Its size was a thousand times massive than Felix.
He felt like an ant staring at an apple.
Felix was dumbfounded. He didn’t know how to react.
Just as he was about to contemplate, the massive sun, or a better description of it, an enormous energy core began to illuminate a blinding light as though it was about to explode.
Felix felt the searing heat. His skin sizzled. His internal organs were being cooked.
He couldn’t even spit out blood because after they slithered out of his mouth, they were instantly evaporated.
Just as he screamed with no voice at the top of his lungs from the agonizing pain, the blinding light swallowed him.
The enormous energy core were blazing for a while, until the blinding light retracted.
Felix’s current physical state was finally revealed. At this point, only his skeletal remained. The only evidence of his last action was his mouth opening wide.
Even his bones showed a sign of decay because of the searing heat.
The blinding light also returned to the energy core, but this time, the energy core was no more.
A divine phoenix appeared. She was majestic and worldly. Her eyelashes were beautiful and her beak was gorgeous.
She spread her wings dazzlingly and a wave of extreme fire energy scattered, obliterating rocks, planets, and even stars.
Felix wasn’t affected. The wave of fire energy went above him.
The divine phoenix noticed his presence and suddenly chuckled. She seemed familiar with Felix.
Her divine feather left from her wings and floated towards him. As soon as it landed on his skeletal head, his body recovered at a rapid speed. The divine feather was expending all of its fire energy to recover his body.
Eventually, Felix had his muscles, organs, skins, and even his voice.
When he saw the divine phoenix, he was in awe.
The divine phoenix was staring at him, strangely filled with affections, causing Felix to wonder if he knew it.
Just as he was about to ask, the fire energy from the divine feather wore out, bringing Felix to the reality.
He abruptly opened his eyes and huffed heavily. Ember flapped in front him, catching his attention.
His barely opened eyes widened when he saw Ember.
Ember now had elongated wings, allowing her to flap without being bothered by the gravity. Her feathers turned elegant gold-red.
She surprisingly became slimmer but not much—she still had her fat.
Her eyelids stretched magnificently and her eyes were like miniature suns. Felix was mesmerized by her.
Her body turn adult, as expected.
Her updated status was then showed by Guide with floating texts beside her.

Felix beamed a smile. He expressed his gratitude to her.
Guide then proceeded with his instruction.

Sunflare Shot: she can summon and manifest a compressed fireball that explodes upon impact.
Radiant Wings: She can boost her flight speed while releasing heat waves, consuming fire energy.
Solar Warmth: She can increase ally recovery and morale, depending on the fire energy she expends.]
Felix was delighted. Ember’s skills turned her to an all around beast. She could attack and support her allies at the same time. She could also aggro enemies with her Radiant Wings.
She congratulated Ember by caressing her head. He wasn’t aware that Ember was floating in front of him because she was deeply worried after Felix strangely fell asleep and woke up breathing heavily and sweating hard.
After receiving her master’s affection, she finally heaved a sigh of relief.
It wasn’t only her master who was exhausted, Moon, Rain, and Ashen were also exhausted to the point they were hastily recovering by meditating and fighting with energy consumption in their surroundings.
Thankfully, the breakthrough room that Doctor Ella provided had an immense concentration of energy, allowing them to consume a great amount without worry. Doctor Ella explained they came from energy stones.
Energy stones were a luxury for Commander Beast Tamer, but Lord Beast Tamer could easily access them. After all, their body constitution had developed to the point that the worldly energy could barely help them progress.
The energy stones could also be easily found through mining. It was only lesser than gold when it came to accessibility.
Hence, every Lord Beast Tamer could access them.
Once they finally gathered enough energy and store them to their energy core, relieving them from being attacked by energy deficiency, they asked for Felix to be stored in his soul space to rest.
Felix ordered them to congratulate Ember first. Rain and Ashen were the first to be immediately stored into their soul space as they congratulated without problem, but Moon was kept being denied by Felix due to her half-hearted congratulations.
Moon was irked. She wanted to attack Felix for annoying her as she wanted to take a rest already but she could not.
Not because of the soul contract restriction, but from her conscience as her master’s beast companion.
In the end, she tried her best to be patience and surprisingly managed to congratulate Ember without prejudice.
She was vexed at first when she realized, but after her master finally stored her to his soul space, she immediately forgot about it and fell asleep.
Felix and Ember remained. Ember was sitting atop his head.
Felix was now contemplating, while observing the room, of how he should have Ember execute the Sunflare Shot.
The Sunflare Shot reminded him of fireball that Rare rank beast summoned in television. At that time, he swore to have a beast pet possess the same skill.
The fireball was after all destructive and cool.
As Felix contemplating heavily, in the end, he decided not to destroy or even scratch of Doctor Ella’s property.
He was about to give up when he recalled of Master Shen’s way. His eyes lit up and finally decided to take a risk.
He said, "Ember, fly in front of me."
Ember did as he told.
"Move ten meters away from me."
Ember distanced herself until she felt that it was enough.
"Attack me with your Sunflare Shot."
Ember couldn’t do it, she was stunned.
