"Child, you are testing your luck!" Blood dripped down from Zesten’s palms, falling to the ground. The ground where his blood fell began melting, akin to coming in contact with acid.

The source of this c𝓸ntent is frёeweɓηovel.coɱ.

"If I hadn’t tested my luck, I would not be here in the first place." Elias took a step closer, his eyes never shifting from Zesten’s, even as only half a meter of distance remained between them, separated by a thin line.

"Then test that luck and step forward!" Zesten roared, his hand transforming into a dragon’s claw that he swung at Elias.

Elias remained still, watching the claw come for him. It was only when the claw struck the barrier that it was pushed back. Zesten was forced to take a few steps back, while the young child remained unmoving, not even flinching.

Elias had already tested the limits of the barrier when Zesten was banging on it crazily, and he had complete faith in his own analysis. Zesten couldn’t cross the boundary, even by an inch.

"I came here to find a Soul Beast. But you can’t even leave this domain. You are weak..." he said, pushing all the right buttons to provoke Zesten. "Looks like the rumours were exaggerated."

He shook his head in disappointment and turned around. "I have no interest anymore. I will leave after I take what I’ve hunted."

He walked back to the fables, which had already finished merging. He kept the small orbs, which had gone from ordinary to extraordinary, in his class storage before arranging more orbs for the next batch to merge.

Throughout the day, he continued the process, creating more orbs that carried the complete essence of the fables, only taking short breaks to recover his energy or eat.

A few domain lords tried talking to him, but he completely ignored them, as if he had truly lost all interest.

Occasionally, a few middle-tier fables sneakily came out of the domain, but none could escape him, which only gave him more resources to work with.

In the end, he managed to gather close to four hundred such orbs, each carrying the strength of a powerful mid-tier fable, many on the verge of becoming high-tier fables in the future.

The combined essence that he had managed to gather was comparable to that of a high-tier fable, and it all went into his storage.

He didn’t let anyone there see what he had done, or what he could do with those orbs. He only made it appear as if the orbs were some kind of treasure used to store the fables, and not to completely merge with them.

Once he finished collecting them all, he simply stood up and started walking away.

"Oh, right. Before I leave..." He stopped and looked back, summoning the sniper back again. He raised the gun, taking an aim.

Zesten’s face was already red at his failure, but when he watched Elias raise that weapon, his mood that had barely stabilized, became sour again.

Last time he bled because of that weapon because he had underestimated it. But this time, he wasn’t going to make that same mistake again.

He was completely prepared to block that attack. Even though he had failed in capturing the boy, but it didn’t mean everything was gone.

He might not be able to use the boy as hostage, but he still had ways to gain their freedom from this place, albeit something that was a little more risky. Until then, he couldn’t let Elias insult him even more.

"Try it," he said.

As if listening to him, Elias pulled the trigger. Zesten raised his hand to catch the bullet properly this time, but when he raised his hand, he noticed that the trajectory seemed a little different.

Did the boy miss him? His lips were only starting to creep up on a smirk at the failure of the overconfident child when he felt a pained growth coming from behind.

The bullet had missed him, but it had still struck someone else, that was the main target of the bullet in the first place.

Zesten slowly turned around, looking at the source of that noise. His expressions darkened, as he saw an old man with a hole in the middle of his forehead, his body falling on the ground with a thud. The prophet was killed.

"That should be enough." Elias kept the gun back, and started walking away, not looking behind anymore. He could feel the ground trembling, and he knew why it was happening. But he didn’t care about it in the slightest.

He wanted to take down Zesten, but it was impossible to do it when he was here, keeping an eye on him. Catching his attention and making him send mid tier fables out, was only the first part of his plan.

Now that he had succeeded, he had to prepare for the second and most important part of his plan. It was to enter the Shadow Domain personally, but not before creating something that surpassed all his creations.

"We are leaving." He talked the jet, with the ego still lost in thoughts, trying to remember something really important.

The cockpit opened, and Elias jumped inside. He left the place, making everyone believe that he had truly left the place, having no interest in the shadow domain.

"That was quite an interesting scene. So, how does it feel to be humiliated by a second person of that same family?" A Domain Lord asked Zesten, whose face had turned red in anger and humiliation.

Almost all his elites were sacrificed. Even the prophet, who was an important pawn for him, was killed right before his eyes, and he couldn’t even stop it. Instead, he was more busy trying to protect himself. Just the thought alone left him red faced.

He picked up the body of the Prophet, and turned around, not saying even a single word to the other fables. He started flying back to his own city.
