Draxus’s eyes snapped open, his head throbbing in pain with veins stretched out visibly like lines of lava extending downwards from a volcano.

’What’s going on? Where is this place?’ he said amidst rasped breaths, he slowly pushed himself up from the charred ground still burning with flames then glanced round, taking in his surroundings.

"Oh my God, what is that?" He muttered in shock, everything within miles around him was charred black, scorched to nothing while the end point had a static pillar stretching outwards for miles, the pillar had jagged edges with protruding spikes emitting crackles of lightning at intervals.

’Wait wait wait, I don’t get what you mean, star cluster? Races? What’s going on with me?’

{The boundaries of the beyond remain unknown for now but for the known parts they are divided into the eight realms, you would know them as universes, universes into the stellar congregations which are even further split into galaxies, followed by star fields and star clusters then finally star systems and planets}

{Rivinea is the sole ruler of this star cluster hence the name, the Rivinea star cluster, our current location is their home planet}

’You mentioned they were destroyed, what could have possibly destroyed such a huge force?’

{The Rivineas captured a direct member of the Kastiya bloodline for an insidious experiment hence they were destroyed, which also indirectly led to the eventual destruction of the Kastiyans, a breakpoint they called it}

"Kastiya? Wait, don’t tell me... I’m the one who destroyed them?" Draxus asked, his mouth wide open in shock.

{Even though the Rivineas aren’t top tier that doesn’t mean they’re weak to the point any random auxiliary member of the Kastiya bloodline would wipe them out}

A huge ball of energy flew over from the sky, like a meteor falling from the sky it crashed into the distance emitting scorching waves of heat, the mere impact of the shockwave alone was enough to sweep Draxus away from his feet.

"Holy, fuck I’m doomed what the heck was that?!!" He said while regaining his balance amidst persistent efforts.

"Wait, how did I survive that? My body feels different." He thought then raised his hand, watching his skin which had a light shade of red and jagged scales, his hands had sharp fingernails extending from the tips like claws.

Rows of screens appeared in his sight, prompting his interest in an instant.

"Kill him!" A scream came from afar, followed by the rapid flaps of wings, hundreds of creatures similar to him with wings resembling jagged bones flew forward with spears in hand, emitting billowing torrents of flames.

The flames from their spears gathered into a single pillar of fire over ten meters wide, falling onto Draxus who was still absentminded.

’This feeling, it’s exactly what I’ve always wanted isn’t it? Exactly what I always desired, the feeling of control, to control my decisions and my life, my very own existence.’ he thought while feeling the power flowing through his veins, his body pulsing with energy.

Adjusting his stance, he lowered his body then flapped his wings and flew towards the pillar of flames, throwing a punch in retaliation.

The group of attackers were blown back by the residue of their own attacks while Draxus stood floating mid air with arms still stretched out, huffing and panting.

A wide smile appeared on his face as he let out a laughter filled with satisfaction.

"This, this is what I’ve always wanted!" He said then adjusted his posture, his body felt oddly familiar, like he could control everything in it the moment he laid his hands on it.

The feeling was similar to a master mech piloting a mech he created with his own hand then trained with for centuries, every ability, muscle and joint felt like extra limbs he could manipulate to him.

He glanced downwards then focused his gaze on one of the attackers who was now lying crouched on the ground, the others had long fled from the scene for their lives.

"Then what?" He asked while glancing towards the swarm of Rivinea warriors flying towards him, they seemed to have returned with even more backup to take him down.

{Remember what I said earlier, the Rivineas were destroyed because of an insidious experiment they made on a direct bloodline member, as a result the victim’s brother stormed the Rivineas home planet and ravaged them to the ground, he has arrived already}

{Yes, with the culmination of several racial abilities and talents, along with new talents created, a random direct bloodline member destroying a star cluster level power out of anger isn’t that surprising, which is also why this incident brought attention to the Kastiya race so much. After all, every one of them are beings equivalent to at least a star cluster power!}

"Uhh-- so they were destroyed because of that?" Draxus asked with raised eyebrows, a hand on his forehead.

Intrigued, he raised his head and glanced at the skies only for his hands to drop by his side listlessly, eyes trembling in fear and despair.

He never paid much attention to the skies but when he actually saw it his confidence was utterly shattered. Far across the sky was a huge rift torn out of space with fumes of darkness spreading outwards from it onto the ground, devouring everything in its sight but what was even scarier was what laid beyond it.

A huge black planet covering nearly a quarter of his vision, blocking everything away from his sight.

"Don’t tell me, that’s not what I think it is, is it?"

"Are we even of the same race? Fuck auxiliary member what do you mean???!" He screamed then flew onto the ground, hiding his face away from the eye gazing down onto the planet from across the rift.
