Chapter 375: Chapter 284: Blessing (Part 2)

Bestowing a Fire Totem upon the American Bison specimen.

The syllables of the Spell were low and mysterious. They echoed one after another through the somewhat empty hangar, as if they carried a magical power capable of traversing the river of time to connect with a mystical force from ages past.

The next moment, a faint breeze inexplicably stirred within the silent hangar.

The breeze brushed gently past. Snowflakes that had just drifted in from outside, not yet having had a chance to melt, were caught in its current. As if instantly given life, they danced like nimble Elves, swirling lightly around Feng Mountain and the bison specimen.

The flakes twirled in the air, sometimes drawing near, sometimes retreating, forming a magical tableau.

Meanwhile, Jeff, who was standing outside the hangar, suddenly felt an indescribable palpitation in his heart.

It felt as though something deep within him was slowly awakening.

An ineffable power seemed to flow through his veins, making Jeff both nervous and excited. His eyes were fixed on the wooden hangar, unblinking.

He didn’t even notice the continuous ringing of the phone in his pocket.

Back at the camp’s fire pit, the Fire Seed usually just flickered gently. Its faint light brought a touch of warmth to the camp, shrouding it in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

Milyukov and his companions were bustling about near the fire pit, piecing together a Mammoth skeleton. They were immersed in their work, carefully comparing the position of each bone while conversing in low voices.

Suddenly, the flames of the quietly flickering Fire Seed shot upward.

What had been a faint glimmer instantly became much brighter and hotter, as if someone had doused it with a bucket of fuel oil. The fire flared up with a WHOOSH.

The flames leaped violently, making a roaring sound that was particularly jarring in the silent camp.

The blazing inferno illuminated everything around it, casting a red glow upon the faces of Milyukov and the others.

Startled by the sudden change in the fire pit, Milyukov and his companions froze in place.

They stared blankly at the fire pit with wide eyes, their faces filled with astonishment.

Just then,

the fiercely burning Fire Seed in the pit magically split off a ball of fire.

As if breaking free from its bonds, the ball of fire shot into the night sky with unstoppable momentum. It moved with incredible speed, like a burning meteor, streaking straight toward the heavens and vanishing into the endless polar night in the blink of an eye.

Afterward, miraculously, the fire pit returned to its original state as if nothing had happened, continuing to burn quietly as usual.

The faint light flickered gently in the night wind, as if the scene just now had been nothing more than an illusion.

Milyukov and the others were still lost in shock. They continued to stare wide-eyed in the direction the flame had disappeared, unable to process what they had seen for a long time.

「Outside the airport hangar.」

Outside the airport hangar, Jeff wrapped his clothes tighter, trying to ward off the biting cold. But his mind was not on the chill at all; instead, he paced back and forth in front of the hangar door with a worried expression.

’That strange feeling I had just now must be related to Feng Mountain blessing the Wild Ox specimen inside,’ he thought. The more he considered it, the more uneasy he became.

He pulled out his phone to check the time.

Only then did he notice more than a dozen missed calls, all from the Chief.

He quickly called back, and before he could even speak, the Elder Chief on the other end fired off a string of questions.

"Jeff, are you in the Crown Territory?"

"Has Feng already begun the blessing of the Spirit of All Things?"

"My boy, did you feel a palpitation? I just asked others in the tribe, and they all felt it at the same time."

"Say something!"

Jeff gave a helpless, bitter smile.

’I’d like to, but you’re not giving me a chance.’

Finally, after the Elder Chief finished his rambling, Jeff was about to speak when he inadvertently glanced up at the night sky. In his line of sight, a meteor was rapidly flying toward him.

"Chief, there’s a meteor!"

"A meteor?" The Elder Chief on the other end of the line was clearly confused.

The next moment, there was a deafening BOOM.

A ball of fire, like a ferocious beast, burst through the hangar’s wooden roof. Carrying a powerful impact, it slammed straight into the Wild Ox specimen.

In an instant, the entire hangar was engulfed in dazzling flames.

The towering blaze seemed poised to consume heaven and earth. Its incandescent red and brilliant yellow light intertwined, illuminating the surroundings as brightly as day.

The intense shockwave spread outward in successive waves like a turbulent tide, causing the hangar’s wooden walls to groan as if they would collapse at any moment.

Jeff, still holding his phone, was so stunned by the shocking scene before him that his mouth fell open in utter disbelief.

By now, the hangar was being mercilessly consumed by the raging fire. The surrounding walls and roof were gradually turning to ash in the inferno, leaving only the lone wooden door standing stubbornly in place.

After a good while, Jeff seemed to snap out of his extreme shock. He quickly tilted his head, cautiously leaned his body past the doorframe, and craned his neck, trying hard to see inside.

Amidst the blazing flames, the Wild Ox specimen, Tatanka, seemed to have come to life.

Its brown fur began to emit a brilliant golden light. The glow was soft and sacred, emanating in fine strands from every hair, making it look like a divine beast from a myth, filled with a holy aura.

Its massive body, originally propped up by cotton and metal rods, now seemed to have been injected with life force. It no longer looked so stiff and lifeless; one could faintly perceive the ripple of muscles beneath its hide.

MOO!! MOO!!

With two deep, piercing bellows, Tatanka moved its enormous body. Each step it took seemed to make the ground tremble slightly.

It walked slowly before Feng Mountain. Though its movements were somewhat sluggish, they possessed a unique solemnity.

Then, an even more shocking scene unfolded.

Tatanka fell heavily to its knees.

It then lowered its majestic head. The head that was once held high, a symbol of dignity and power, was now humbly bowed, as if paying the highest respect to Feng Mountain, or perhaps expressing gratitude for the new life he had granted it.

Feng Mountain raised his hand and placed it on Tatanka’s head. Between its brows, he saw a small, fiery Fire Totem.

It was just like the Fire Totem on the River Beach.

The Fire Seed emanated a mysterious light, like a miniature sun.

Above the Fire Totem, a faint thread disappeared into the void, pointing in the direction of the Crown Territory’s fire pit.

Feng Mountain sent his Soul Power into Tatanka’s body.

The next moment,

the Fire Totem between the Wild Ox specimen Tatanka’s brows flared brightly. The originally faint flame shot up instantly, and the barely visible thread above the Fire Seed flickered with a faint red light.

The red glow pulsed like a beating heart, resembling a mystical channel that disappeared into the void.

Feng Mountain immediately broke his connection with Tatanka and instead connected with the tribal Fire Seed in the Crown Territory.

Similarly, above the tribal Fire Seed, a thread also extended from the void. The red glow flickered faintly as wisps of Soul Power sprinkled down upon the tribal Fire Seed.

CRASH!

A falling sound shattered the solemn atmosphere.

It turned out that the hangar’s only remaining wooden door had been accidentally knocked over by Jeff, who was peeking from the side.

The charred, rickety door, already on the verge of collapse from the fire, could no longer hold itself up after being bumped. It fell heavily into the snow, kicking up a white cloud of powder.

As the door fell, Jeff’s action of holding up his phone to record was completely exposed.

The recording screen on his phone was still flashing.

Hearing the noise, Feng Mountain and the Wild Ox, Tatanka, turned their heads at the same time. Four gazes fell squarely on Jeff.

"Sorry, just passing by. Carry on!" Stared at like that, Jeff was instantly mortified. His face flushed bright red, and he wished he could dig a hole in the snow and crawl into it on the spot.

Just then, the roar of snowmobiles suddenly broke the silence of the night sky, growing louder as they approached.

Immediately after, seven or eight bright lights shone toward the hangar. The blinding beams cut through the darkness like several white ribbons of light, moving rapidly in their direction.

Jeff’s attention was captured by the sudden commotion.

The scene before his eyes seemed to blur, as if viewed through a thin veil, and everything became less real.

When he became fully aware again,

the Wild Ox, Tatanka, had already returned to its specimen state, standing quietly in place.

The sacred golden light radiating from its body was long gone, and it had reverted to its previous form, propped up by cotton and metal rods.

And Feng Mountain walked out of the still-burning hangar with a calm expression.

As if nothing had happened, he showed no sign of anything being out of the ordinary.
