Chapter 359: Chapter 276: Inspecting the Goods (Part 2)

"Is that so?" Feng Mountain lifted out the top layer of pistols and accessories, then removed the polyester foam insert separating it from the next.

The second layer held three custom rifles.

Will picked up the first one and quickly racked the bolt.

"Mr. Feng, this is the JW2 Ultralight Rifle. It’s an ultralight rifle built with an Aero M16A4 TTI Lower and a Vltor MUR-1 Upper. Its combination of aggressive performance and precision made it one of John Wick’s primary weapons."

"TTI customized it with an ion-bonded bolt carrier group, a Hiperfire 3-Gun trigger assembly, a PRI muzzle compensator, a 13-inch rail, a short grip, and a TTI +5 magazine base plate."

"When you use it, you don’t even have to think about recoil. Just aim and pull the trigger."

Will set down the JW2 Ultralight Rifle and picked up another rifle.

"The JW3 TTI MPX. Also a lightweight custom build. Its stability is better than a girlfriend’s—a girlfriend might get angry, but this never will. It will only ever dedicate itself to protecting you."

"And this last one is TTI’s star player: the JW4 Dracarys Gen-12, a fully automatic shotgun."

"There has never been a magazine-fed shotgun in history as reliable, durable, and versatile as the TTI Dracarys Gen-12."

"As a firearms enthusiast, the last place you ever want to be is in the shadow of this fire-breathing beast, because all you’ll find there is scorched earth."

’An automatic shotgun?’

’Aren’t shotguns supposed to be pump-action?’

’Counter-Strike has two kinds: one where you have to load a shell after every shot, and another that can hold several rounds at once.’

’That gun hits hard. One shot can take down an armored enemy.’

But this one in front of him was completely unfamiliar. Feng Mountain turned to look at the three retired veterans and could see their love for the weapon in their burning gazes.

"Boss, that’s a real killer!" Paine said, his expression grave.

Mexican Calio’s eyes lit up as well. "That’s right. It would be unstoppable in street fights."

Frank nodded in agreement. "If I’d run into this thing during street fighting in Iraq, I’d rather have a shootout with Satan."

"All right. Are there any other guns?" Feng Mountain asked, looking at Will again.

Will shrugged. It was a shame they couldn’t fire a few rounds right there. That would give the client a much more visceral understanding of the effort TTI had put into customizing the Gen-12.

"Of course."

He proceeded to lift out the second layer of rifles and remove the polyester foam liner beneath.

The third layer was the one Feng Mountain was more familiar with: the shotguns.

Two black, matte-finish shotguns lay flat on the foam liner.

Will picked one of them up and began his presentation.

"The TTI JW2 M4. We’ve done extensive TTI customizations on it, including lightweighting and coating treatments, as well as a custom trigger, barrel, bolt, shell carrier, spring kit, anti-slip grip, and ejection port."

"Through this series of modifications, the TTI JW2 M4 maintains the original reliability and durability of the Benelli M4. However, it boasts significant improvements in accuracy, handling, comfort, and sustained firepower. This makes it better suited for various tactical scenarios and competitive shooting."

After setting down the TTI JW2 M4, Will picked up the other one.

"The JW3 TTI M2, a custom shotgun based on the Benelli M2."

"Like the TTI JW2 M4, this gun has been completely overhauled. We’ve extended the magazine tube, increasing its capacity by three rounds over the original. In practice, this reduces the frequency of reloads and improves your firing continuity."

"The loading port has been enlarged and polished, and the shell lifter has been beveled. This makes the loading process much smoother and faster. It allows for competition-style speed-loading, giving the shooter a significant advantage when they need to replenish ammo quickly."

"And that concludes the presentation of all the Talan products you’ve purchased. Of course, a live-fire demonstration would be even more effective."

"Oh, and by the way, since you purchased the entire Talan collection at once, the company is including complimentary custom-fitted body armor, a tactical vest, and some custom ammunition."

’Test the guns?’

’Of course, we have to test the guns.’

But the other two weapon cases hadn’t been opened yet.

Feng Mountain’s gaze fell on the two remaining cases.

Will shrugged and tossed him a key card.

’The weapons in those other two cases are from a rival company,’ Will thought. ’Compared to Taran Tactical, they’re just a pile of industrial garbage.’

’As for introducing them...’

’There’s no way I’m going to help a competitor pitch their products to a client.’

’It’d be best if he returned all of it and only kept the Taran Tactical firearms.’

Seeing that Will wasn’t moving from his spot, Feng Mountain had no choice but to open the metal cases himself and take out the weapons with the veterans.

Of course, the weapons weren’t as terrible as Will had made them out to be.

They were almost all high-end weapons currently on the market, and the designs of some of the rifles were no worse than Talan’s.

Among them were the well-known AR-15, as well as modified versions of the HKM4, and high-spec, heavily customized M27s, M4A1s, HK416s, M38s, HK MP5s, and so on.

This was because Feng Mountain held Type 01 and Type 02 FFLs, as well as a Class 3 SOT.

For the various firearms customization companies, a hassle-free, high-quality client like Feng Mountain was their absolute favorite.

Since he possessed a full set of legal licenses, they could sell him all sorts of fully automatic custom weapons without assuming any risk.

Feng Mountain picked up a modified MP5SL. An extendable MPBSL-style brace had been added, and the magazine was replaced with a high-capacity drum.

Although the modifications increased its stability and sustained firepower, Feng Mountain didn’t like this particular style. He didn’t remember buying this submachine gun.

’Maybe I clicked the wrong thing when I ordered it!’

He then placed the MP5SL back in its case and turned to the others, who were clearly chomping at the bit.

"Let’s go. Time to test them out. Pick one for yourselves, but don’t touch the Talan Tactical ones. Those are mine."

Before the words were even out of his mouth, everyone reached for the firearms from the other customization companies. No one was stupid enough to touch the boss’s Talan series.

Sun Jia grabbed a heavily customized HKM4, took a custom magazine from the case, attached various accessories, and walked up to a shooting lane. He aimed at a target 30 meters away and pulled the trigger.

RAT-TAT-TAT!!

Muzzle flashes erupted as bullets sprayed out like rain.

But the weapon’s stability was incredible. Even though this was Sun Jia’s first time firing it, he felt almost no muzzle rise. Even the HKM4’s classic jamming issues had been perfectly resolved.

Once the others got their hands on their preferred custom guns, they also began their own test firing.

Feng Mountain also picked up the so-called "fire-breathing beast" Will had described—the JW4 Dracarys Gen-12 automatic shotgun.

A single shot tore the paper target to shreds. The spread of the pellets even peppered the adjacent target and punched straight through the wooden post behind it.

"Cool!!"

’With this kind of stopping power, you could probably insta-kill a brown bear if you ran into one.’

"So? Talan’s products are pretty good, huh?" Will said, looking quite pleased with himself. As both a company consultant and a retired veteran, he had participated in the design and testing of every one of their custom firearms. In fact, half of the modification concepts for the "fire-breathing beast" in Feng Mountain’s hands had come from him.

"They’re great. If Talan has new products in the future, send them my way. Money is no object!" Feng Mountain fired another shot, reveling in the immense power of the fire-breathing beast.

Hearing this, Will’s eyebrows shot up in delight.

’What was the point of the company spending so much time, money, and manpower on customizing firearms?’

’It was precisely to attract wealthy, gun-loving, long-term clients just like Feng Mountain.’

"Next January, at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Talan would like to invite you, Mr. Feng, to attend our new product launch."

"No problem. Just have customer service message me a week beforehand." Feng Mountain didn’t plan to test any more guns and put away the JW4 Gen-12.

After all, the barrels on these custom firearms were specially ordered and had a limited shot count.

Firing too many rounds would reduce the barrel’s lifespan.

As he put the gun away, Feng Mountain saw that the others all had their fingers practically welded to the triggers, refusing to let go until they’d emptied their magazines.

"You bastards, that’s enough! Don’t wear out my barrels."

"Boss, this gun is amazing!" Paine said, reluctantly setting down the M4A1. Several empty magazines lay scattered at his feet.

’You had your fun, but those are all custom magazines.’

Feng Mountain shot him an annoyed glare and waved his hand. "All right, all right, put the guns back in their cases. If you like one, place an order with Will. I’ll cover it—one pistol and one rifle only."

"And everyone, grab a set of body armor and a tactical vest."

Even though Feng Mountain had purchased more than enough weapons to go around, he couldn’t just give them away. After all, every gun’s serial number was registered in his name. If anyone used one of them to commit a crime, the FBI and ATF would be knocking on his door first.

Hearing that their boss was going to pay for them to buy their own guns, the three ex-veterans howled with excitement.

"Brother Feng, what about me?" Su Jia asked with a grin, pointing at himself.

’Have you no shame?’

’The shooting range has been raking it in lately. He could afford a whole case of guns, let alone a single one.’

’And he still wants to freeload.’

Feng Mountain speechlessly kicked the weapon case at his feet.

"Load these cases onto the sled and get them to the cabin, and you’ll get your share."
