Chapter 358: Chapter 276: Inspecting the Goods
Soon, the machine’s light flashed green.
A smile spread across Big-Beard Will’s face. He handed Feng Shan’s documents back to him. "You passed, buddy. You bought so many weapons that the company received notices from the FBI and the ATF."
Feng Shan curled his lip in disdain, took the documents, and grumbled, "What else can those parasites do besides waste taxpayers’ money!"
"Bullshit. You’re absolutely right, they’re parasites." Big-Beard Will’s favorable impression of Feng Shan grew instantly. He turned and slapped the side of the fuselage. "Fellas, bring out the hot dog case."
A hot dog case.
Just as Feng Shan was wondering what a "hot dog case" was, a long, gray metal case was pushed out from inside the aircraft.
"Fellas, lend a hand." Will waved to the veterans.
Three of the veterans hurried forward, grabbed the handles of the metal case, and dragged it out of the aircraft. It was obviously heavy; the weight forced the three men to bend low.
"Careful. This one case is worth over a hundred thousand." Will also grabbed a handle to help.
The four of them lifted the case onto the sled, followed by a second metal case.
There were three metal cases in total. Once they were all loaded, the plane started up again, slowly ascending into the sky and disappearing into the polar night.
Will turned and looked at Feng Shan.
"Hey, fellas, I might be staying here for a few days. You’d better prepare the warmest room for me. It’s just too cold here in the Far North. I don’t want to get back to California and find I’ve lost my manly dignity."
"Don’t you worry, your dignity will make it back to California safe and sound. Let’s go!" Feng Shan leaped back onto his horse and headed for the camp.
The others followed behind on snowmobiles, towing the heavy metal cases.
They didn’t stop along the way, heading straight for the shooting range.
There were no tourists at the moment, so the shooting range was closed. This gave Sun Jia the time to take out all the firearms from the gun room for maintenance.
Having heard that the large batch of custom weapons Feng Shan bought was about to arrive, Sun Jia stood excitedly at the entrance to the shooting range, craning her neck to look.
Finally, she saw the headlights of the snowmobiles.
Sun Jia quickly moved the barrier in front of the range.
Cigar was the first to charge into the shooting range, with the three snowmobiles arriving right after.
"Where’s the stuff?" Sun Jia asked impatiently, looking at Feng Shan as he dismounted.
"Calm down, it’s all on the sleds." Feng Shan patted Cigar. "You head back to the Tundra for now. I’ll come play with you when I have time."
NEIGH NEIGH!!
Cigar shook his head, turned, and galloped into the Tundra.
"Alright, fellas, let’s get to work." Feng Shan walked over to a sled, grabbed the handles of a metal case, and with a single powerful heave, hoisted it onto his shoulder.
PHEW!
Big-Beard Will let out a whistle.
Including the weapons, equipment, accessories, and ammunition inside, a single case had to weigh over 100 kilograms, yet he’d lifted it so easily.
"Is he a strongman?"
"No, he’s our boss. A great Hunter of the Far North Tundra," Paine replied with feigned solemnity, then turned to help his companions move the other metal cases.
Once the three metal cases were moved into a semi-indoor pistol range, Big-Beard Will pulled three key cards from his pocket. He handed one to Feng Shan. "Buddy, go witness this beautiful moment."
Taking the key card, Feng Shan walked over to the metal case labeled "1" and inserted the key into the lock.
The metal case made a soft CLICK and the lid popped open.
The first thing he saw was a paper with the TTI Talan Tactical logo covering the entire surface of the contents.
"Welcome to Talan Tactical," Big-Beard Will added proudly, like a voiceover.
The corner of Feng Shan’s mouth twitched. He lifted the advertisement paper.
Seven pistols lay neatly on a polyester foam insert.
One of them was Feng Shan’s Glock 17L Combat Master. The other pistols were just as beautiful, but Feng Shan didn’t know their models.
"Ahem, allow me to introduce you to Talan Tactical’s products." Will gave a deliberate cough, walked up to the case, and began introducing the pistols on the foam insert.
"This Glock 17L Combat Master is Talan’s newest product, released in 2017."
"Yes, I already have this one." Feng Shan pulled back his animal-hide coat, revealing the Combat Master at his waist.
Because of its extended barrel, the holster wasn’t a perfect fit, leaving half the gun sticking out. However, this only highlighted Feng Shan’s fondness for this particular weapon.
"My God, the Combat Master is a competition pistol! You can’t just stuff it in a holster like that."
Will exclaimed in shock. He then took a black pistol with a sight from the case, racked the slide a few times, and handed it to Feng Shan in a reverse grip.
"Try this one. A TTI G19 Gen3, a pistol designed specifically for close-quarters defense."
Taking the pistol, he found the grip felt fantastic, on par with his Combat Master’s.
Feng Shan drew the Combat Master from his holster and slid the TTI G19 Gen3 in its place. The fit was perfect. He didn’t even have to angle his arm outward when drawing it.
Seeing Feng Shan holster the TTI G19, Will nodded in satisfaction, like a man with OCD who’d just set things right. He continued his introduction.
"The TTI G19 Gen comes equipped with an orange-green fiber-optic sight, a tactical matte black slide, an ion-bonded barrel, a competition trigger, and a TTI competition-grade magazine. It truly becomes an extension of the user."
"Very nice. What about the other pistols?" Feng Shan placed his own Combat Master into the weapon case.
Will transformed into a firearms expert, introducing each pistol in the case one by one, even going into detail about their accessories and materials.
"This one is a modified TTI G34."
"This is the TTI SP-01 Phantom."
"This one is the TTI HK P30L."
....
After he finished introducing the pistols, Will took a bottle of water from Sun Jia with a word of thanks, then looked at Feng Shan. "Sir, you can open the second layer now. The weapons underneath are even better."
