Chapter 960: Chapter 267: Sword Shadows and Blade Lights in the Inn, Heroic Battle Amidst Clouds (Part 5)
He knew full well that this Poisoned Horned Cone carried a deadly toxin; once struck, death was certain.
With no other choice, he could only swing the Iron Ruler, focusing all his attention on blocking those Poisoned Horned Cones laden with lethal venom.
Each parry sent a numbing shock up his arm, yet he did not dare relax in the slightest.
Just in that instant when his Iron Ruler briefly stalled, Guo Xiangyu’s beautiful eyes filled with murderous frost; she was like a goddess of vengeance in the dark night, radiating an aura that chilled the soul.
She gripped her bamboo saber, her figure moving like lightning as she struck in a flash.
Guo Xiangyu unleashed the "Qimen Sancai Saber" technique; this saber art was the supreme skill of her sect—exquisitely profound, endlessly shifting. Each stroke came with a whooshing wind, as if it carried the biting chill of the mountain air, capable of severing all evil in this world.
The saber light flickered like meteors streaking across the night sky, dazzling and deadly. She pressed in step by step, each move and each form hiding a killing intent. As the bamboo saber whirled at speed, saber energy crisscrossed in all directions, as though slicing a rift open in the dark night above.
The scholar in black was already scared out of his wits; he was terrified of Shi Feiyang to begin with, and under Guo Xiangyu’s fierce onslaught he was forced into utter disarray. Despair and terror filled his eyes, like a trapped beast driven to the end of the road.
He wanted to fight back, but found his body seemed bound by some invisible force; every movement was slow and powerless.
Guo Xiangyu seized upon a flaw in the black-clad scholar’s defense, and a surge of grim resolve rose in her heart.

She recalled the many atrocities committed by these four before her, the pain and disaster they had brought upon countless people. The flames of hatred roared within her, as if they would devour her whole.
She bit her silver teeth together and cried out in a clear, fierce voice: "Northwest Four Beasts, meet your death! Today is the day you repay your sins! You fiends have run rampant in this Jianghu—this is your retribution!" With that, the bamboo saber in her hand gave a sudden twist, drawing an eerie yet deadly arc, like a rainbow spanning the sun at the edge of the sky, carrying boundless force and momentum.
This stroke gathered all her Power and all her fury, surging forward like mountains collapsing and seas overturning, cleaving straight at the black-clad scholar’s throat.
The black-clad scholar wanted to block, but found his Iron Ruler could not possibly make it back in time.
The bamboo saber swept past, and a blood line instantly opened at his throat; fresh blood spurted out like a fountain.
His body swayed a few times, a "gurgling" sound coming from his throat; he seemed to want to say something, but could no longer make a sound.
With a heavy "thud," he fell hard to the ground, eyes wide open, dying with no peace.
Bright Yanhong blood spread beneath him, merging with the surrounding reek of gore.
At this moment, the courtyard was thick with a suffocating stench of blood; the cold wind howled through like a roaring beast.
It ruthlessly whipped up the dust and blood on the ground, weaving them into a nauseating blood-mist in midair, as if shrouding the entire world in a sea of blood.
Shi Feiyang stood quietly within this bloody world, his posture straight as a pine, like a towering peak that could not be shaken.
His figure, stretched long beneath the dim moonlight, appeared all the taller and more unyielding, as though he were a god who ruled over life and death.
Watching all of this unfold, he felt no joy at all; instead, a faint sadness welled up in his heart.
This Jianghu is mired in endless strife—when will there ever be true peace?

Guo Xiangyu panted softly, her chest heaving; the bamboo saber in her hand drooped slightly, and the Yanhong blood staining the blade slowly dripped along the edge, blooming into shocking blood-flowers upon the ground.
In her eyes there was battle-weariness, the exhilaration of revenge fulfilled, and also a hint of confusion toward this Jianghu.
Shi Feiyang bent down and picked up the treasure sword the scholar in white had dropped. The cold moonlight spilled over the blade, glinting with a chilling gleam.
He looked closely and saw the characters "White Rainbow" engraved on the sword; the script was ancient and vigorous, speaking of the extraordinary origin of this treasure sword.
Shi Feiyang’s lips curved slightly in a faint smile. He then handed the treasure sword to Shi Xiong, his gaze gentle yet full of expectation as he said, "Xiaoxiongzi, you’re growing up, and you’ve learned many marvelous skills from our Society’s brothers. It’s time you had a sword that truly suits you. This Jianghu is treacherous and perilous; when you travel it in the future, having this sword at your side will give you one more layer of protection. Later, I’ll teach you a set of the Thirteen Life-taking Swords. This Swordsmanship is fierce and ruthless, ever-changing. I hope you practice diligently. I believe that in time you’ll become the greatest Martial Arts expert of our Society, for you combine the skills of a hundred schools in one body. I also hope that in the future, with this Swordsmanship, you’ll uphold justice, protect the common folk, and do your part for peace in this Jianghu."
Shi Xiong had never expected Shi Feiyang to hold him in such high regard, to value a mere Little Scholar like this.
At once his eyes lit up, his face full of delight. His hands trembled as he accepted the treasure sword, his voice quivering with excitement: "Thank you, Young Master! With such great favor from you, Xiaoxiongzi will remember it always. I will not fail your expectations, Young Master. I’ll train well in this Thirteen Life-taking Swords, and in the future, for you, for our Society, and for all the people under heaven, I’ll go through fire and water without hesitation!"
With that, he bowed again and again in thanks, his eyes filled with reverence and gratitude toward Shi Feiyang.
Guo Xiangyu raised her jade-like hand, her movements gentle yet intent, slowly wiping the splattered bloodstains from the bamboo saber; with each stroke she seemed to be trying to erase the marks of those painful memories.
When she finished, she gave her wrist a light flick; the bamboo saber traced a graceful arc through the air and then slid smoothly back into its sheath.
