Chapter 878: Chapter 33 Elf City_2

Xuan Yue shook her head and said, "I really don’t know. In fact, I met him only two days before you. We were both at the Magic Guild taking a test. Later, since I thought he was quite honest, I tricked him into joining me in applying to the Mercenary Guild, and only then did we take on this mission to the Death Mountain Range. As for his past, I’m not clear about that either. I only heard him mention inadvertently that he had some Alchemist as a teacher and an uncle who knew martial arts. But that’s all I know. You’ll have to ask him when he wakes up."

The group exchanged looks, and Miao Fei, puzzled, said, "Miss Xuan Yue, is it really as simple as you say? If you’ve known each other for such a short time, why do I feel like you are very close, almost like old friends? Ah Dai always seems like your big brother, taking care of you. Whenever you are in danger, he is so anxious, always the first one to rush forward."

Xuan Yue paused, just about to say something, when an elf walked in, holding a large plate of fruit. Everyone’s gaze was drawn to her. Yue Ji exclaimed in admiration, "What a beautiful Fairy! No wonder those bastards always want to capture Elves." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

The fairy’s face turned red as she set the fruit aside and respectfully said, "Honorable guests, please try the fruit produced abundantly by our Elf Clan." After speaking, she turned and left.

The large plate of colorful fruit, each piece different from the next, emitted a faint fragrance, which made the tired and thirsty group relish the taste. Xuan Yue grabbed two pieces of fruit first, sat beside Ah Dai on the green grass, and started eating. The appearance of the fruit momentarily interrupted the group’s questioning.

Elf ancient tree.

Elf Envoy Tian Ying, along with Ya Yuan and Ruo Ma, flew to the topmost branch, respectfully saying, "Elf Envoy Tianying, along with Great Elf Ya Yuan and Elf Mage Ruo Ma, request an audience with Her Majesty the Queen." In the Elf Clan, there are clear hierarchies, yet there is no relational difference between different ranks; the status simply demonstrates varying strengths. From low to high these are: Little Elf, Elf, Great Elf, Elf Envoy, Grand Elf Envoy, and Elf King. A Little Elf refers to those under fifty years old who automatically become Elves once they turn fifty. The title of Great Elf not only requires one to be over a hundred years old but also to possess certain strengths, achievable by any diligent Elf. Not all Elves can reach the status of Elf Envoy, a middle force in the Elf Clan, divided into archers and magicians, such as Tian Ying, whose magic level approaches that of human Magus. Grand Elf Envoys, besides the Elf King, hold the highest authority within the clan, a title only the clan’s elders can achieve. Currently, there are four Grand Elf Envoys and eighteen Elf Envoys. All Grand Elf Envoys are magicians, and their combined strengths are equivalent to two human Magi, maintaining the Elf Clan’s leading position within the Tian Yuan Clan. The Elf King is a hereditary title—each king marries the most outstanding elf in the clan to produce an heir, and only Elves with the Bloodline of Elf King can assume the kingship. Under the influence of the Elf Bloodline, the Elf King can use many of the highest level Magic of Nature, and although she does not walk upon the continent, she is still called the continent’s fourth Magus, a Natural Mage.

The crown of the tree split open, and a crisp voice came, "Her Majesty the Queen invites Elf Envoy Tianying."

Tian Ying flapped his wings and flew into the tree crown, followed closely by Ya Yuan and Ruo Ma. Only the Elf King and the Grand Elf Envoys are allowed to reside within the Elf ancient tree that is referred to as the Life Vein of Elf Clan. Normally, some ordinary Elves serve there to attend to the daily needs of the Elf King and Grand Elf Envoys.

Tian Ying flew to the entrance of the largest treehouse at the top of the crown. A smiling Elf Sister at the door of the treehouse said, "Lord Envoy, the Queen awaits you."

Tian Ying nodded, landed with Ya Yuan and Ruo Ma on the platform in front of the treehouse and quickly walked inside.

In the treehouse, a middle-aged Elf woman sat rigidly in a wicker chair, her brows furrowed, appearing quite vexed. Beside her sat a middle-aged male Elf, face cold, his expression flickering with concern. As Tian Ying and his companions walked in, they all bowed and said, "We’ve come before Her Majesty the Queen and Great Elf Envoy Ordi."

The Elf Queen looked up at them, her tone indifferent, "What has happened? Has there been another enemy intrusion into our territory?"

Tian Ying nodded, gave Ya Yuan a meaningful look. Ya Yuan quickly stepped forward and recounted how they had been ambushed by men in black in the Elf Forest and how Ah Dai and others had nobly come to their aid.

After listening to Ya Yuan’s account, the Elf Queen’s husband, the youngest of the clan’s Grand Elf Envoys, Ordi, stood up furiously and said, "These outsiders are too audacious, repeatedly challenging our Elf Clan’s dignity. Your Majesty, I think we need to resolve this issue promptly." Ordi did not reach his position of Grand Elf Envoy through his marriage to the Queen. On the contrary, it was entirely through his own efforts that he achieved this status today. Among the four Grand Elf Envoys, his magic level is the highest, second only to the Elf Queen. It was his initiative that distinguished him among the many suitors of the Elf Queen, winning her over.
