Chapter 877: Chapter 33 Elf City

After passing through a dense forest, the view suddenly opened up. The scenery, reminiscent of a fairyland, had Moon Scar and the others who were there for the first time completely stunned. A vast lake of clear blue appeared within everyone’s sight. The water was so clear that under the sunlight, it shimmered brilliantly, revealing the fish swimming within and the stones at the bottom of the lake. A thin layer of mist floated on the water’s surface, casting an ethereal, dreamlike feeling. Countless Elves were dancing above the lake, their faces brimming with joyful smiles. Yet, it was not these that surprised the group the most. What truly astonished them was a towering ancient tree in the center of the lake, so tall that it measured over a hundred meters, with a trunk so thick it was roughly fifty meters in diameter. The tree’s body was riddled with many crevices, with rugged vines entwisting it, as some Elves weaved in and out. The giant canopy was lush and green, with sparkling, crystalline lights flickering on the leaves. The diameter of the crown was nearly as extensive as the height of the whole tree, and the crisp chirping of birds alongside the flapping of the Elves’ wings played a captivating melody. In the water, there wasn’t just the central ancient tree; its surroundings hosted numerous smaller trees. These large trees didn’t have foliage as dense as the one in the center, and some modest treehouses were vaguely visible among them. The treehouses seemed as natural as the trees themselves, with no hint of man-made marks. Connecting the trees were vines, and it appeared as if there was a colossal Elf city floating on the lake’s surface.

Xuan Yue stood there dumbfounded by the sights before her, sighing, "It’s so beautiful, even more than my home! What lovely trees and lakes!"

Ruo Ma, who was flying beside Xuan Yue, smiled and said, "This is the heart of our Elf Forest—the Elf City, where most Elves reside. Around the Elf City, within a ten-mile radius, our Magicians have set up a magical illusion like a labyrinth, which outsiders simply cannot penetrate. Only here can Elves find their paradise."

Xuan Yue nodded and replied, "The Magic of Nature of your Elf Clan is truly magical, very different from ordinary magic!"

Ruo Ma nodded lightly and said, "Our Elf Clan’s Magic of Nature is indeed mysterious and profound. However, I am too young and have not mastered much of it yet, otherwise, I wouldn’t have been bullied by those bad people. Sister Xuan Yue, the boy who fainted, who is he to you? If it weren’t for him this time, we might have been captured by those bad people." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Xuan Yue glanced down at Ah Dai, who was held by Yan Shi, hesitated for a moment, and responded, "He is my friend. He’s a good person, just a bit daft, that’s all."

Ruo Ma looked down as if mulling over something and did not speak. Upon returning to Elf City, the Elves quickly dispersed into the city. Tian Ying descended to the ground and said to Yan Shi, "Each Elf family in our city has only one treehouse, so we don’t have spare rooms to entertain you. For now, you should rest on the shore. I must quickly report to Her Majesty."

Yan Shi nodded and replied, "Uncle Tian Ying, go about your business; we will rest fine on the shore. Elf City truly is a paradise on earth, and even for those who have been here before, fatigue naturally dissipates upon viewing such enchanting scenery. Please convey to Her Majesty that we wish to see her."

Tian Ying nodded, pressed his hands together in front of his chest, and began chanting an Elf spell. He was enveloped in a green glow. Suddenly, he parted his hands, and two beams of green light shot into a nearby tree. The branches and leaves of the tree rapidly grew, and in a short time, they formed a natural house that perfectly sheltered Yan Shi and the others. With a slight smile, Tian Ying said, "Rest here. Ya Yuan, Ruo Ma, come with me." With that, he flapped his wings and flew towards the Elf ancient tree in the middle of the lake.

Yan Shi gently laid Ah Dai on the ground and asked Xuan Yue, who had just entered the treehouse, "Does Ah Dai hold some secret? How was he able to scare those thieves away? And I’ve looked carefully; all of the thieves who initially appeared, none of whom were very skilled, are dead without a single mark on them."

Xuan Yue stuck out her tongue and replied, "Don’t ask me; I know nothing. You wait until he wakes up and ask him directly. Have you forgotten? Prophet Pu Lin said that he is a noble person in your destiny, so what’s odd about him being a little mysterious?"

Yue Ji approached Xuan Yue, took her hand, and whispered, "Yue Yue, you and Ah Dai are so close, you must know something, right? Tell us, please. I’m so curious. Ah Dai has given us too many surprises. Initially, we thought he was just a Magician, but later, whenever we faced danger, he always used Martial arts to deal with it, as if Magic wasn’t his forte. On the continent, it’s rare to see someone skilled in both Martial arts and Magic. The Magic he used today seemed not of the Fire System but of the Light System like yours, and it was incredibly powerful. We thought he couldn’t handle those men in black, and yet he scared them off, which is just incredible. My brother said that those men in black probably had the strength of acquirers, and they are not something we could deal with! What other secrets does Ah Dai hold? You must tell us." Everyone’s gaze was fixed on Xuan Yue’s pretty face, awaiting her response.
