Chapter 874: Chapter 32 The First Appearance of Evil Light_3

The Sword of Hades vanished, and although the Evil Power was still present, it was no longer as intense. The slim, black-clothed figure who had just confronted Ah Dai wailed, "Uncle Four." His body lunged forward, drifting toward the deceased in black.

The leading black-clothed figure shouted, "Retreat." His movement technique was much faster than the two black-clothed figures before him. With a flash of black light, he had already scooped up the slim figure’s body with one hand, and with the other grabbed the mummy and the remaining five black-clad figures, vanishing like lightning into the woods.

The black-clothed figures of lesser skills were all immobilized by the Evil Power and unable to move. Although they had some foundation in their abilities, the Evil Aura of the Sword of Hades still took their souls. Without their souls, their bodies were continually weakening. They weren’t going to become mummies, but they definitely couldn’t escape death; they would never see the sun of the next day again.

The six black-clothed figures who arrived later didn’t bother with their fallen comrades and quickly disappeared from Ah Dai’s sight.

Ah Dai himself was not faring well, struggling with all his might against the Evil Power of the Sword of Hades. Although he had only used the first technique of the Nether Flash from the "Nine Nether Tactics," it had still exhausted most of his True Qi. If the black-clad figures had launched another attack at that moment, he would have been unable to block it. Unfortunately for them, the reputation of ’Nether King’ was too formidable, and in order to preserve their lives, the black-clothed figures chose to retreat.

After a while, Ah Dai finally suppressed the Evil Power of the Sword of Hades completely, bringing it back under control. The blood-draining sensation he experienced while using the Sword of Hades had terrified him. He was afraid he would become a murderous demon. Inhaling deeply, Ah Dai slowly looked up and saw the trembling form of the Elf Mage Ruo Ma, who had been startled awake by the surge of Evil Aura when Ah Dai invoked the power of the Sword of Hades, witnessing that eerie scene. Although she was not a profound magician among the Elves, having grown up in the verdant Elf Forest and practicing the Magic of Nature made her somewhat resistant to the Evil Power. Hence, she hadn’t been fully overtaken by the Evil Aura of the Sword of Hades like those black-clothed figures. Nevertheless, the scene from moments ago, combined with the Sword of Hades’ Evil Power, was still too much for her to bear. In Ruo Ma’s eyes, Ah Dai seemed like the most evil creature between heaven and earth at that moment, claiming a life with a mere movement, as if only a god in charge of life could achieve such a feat.

Ah Dai had forgotten about Ruo Ma’s presence when he decided to use the Sword of Hades. Now, seeing her trembling, he was startled and mustered the little True Qi left in his body to barely walk to Ruo Ma’s side. Ruo Ma looked at him with terror, her voice trembling as she said, "You, are you the Grim Reaper? What do you want now?"

Ah Dai coughed, spitting out a mouthful of blood, and offered a wry smile, "I’m not doing anything. The enemy has finally left. Are you feeling very cold now?"

Ruo Ma nodded, still haunted by the cold expression on Ah Dai’s face as he had killed earlier. She pondered in confusion whether the person who had saved them was good or bad.

Ah Dai knelt down, placing his right hand on Ruo Ma’s trembling shoulder and began transferring the remaining True Qi into her body, bit by bit. Although the white light was faint, it still emitted a weak Sacred Aura. Under the influence of the True Qi, Ruo Ma felt warmth throughout her body, instantly feeling much better. The Evil Aura that had infiltrated her was gone, and she was back to normal.

Ah Dai was breathing heavily; his body was nearing its limit. Holding Ruo Ma’s hand, he earnestly said, "Elf... sister, can you... promise me... something?"

Ruo Ma was startled and asked, "What is it?"

Ah Dai looked sincerely at Ruo Ma, weakly saying, "Elf... sister, I hope... you won’t... tell... everyone... about me... killing... just now... It’s... my... secret... You can... rest assured... I have... no... ill intentions... towards... your Elf Clan... or any... good people... I don’t... want to... kill... It was... they who... forced me."

Moved by Ah Dai’s pleading gaze, Ruo Ma’s heart softened. She knew that if it hadn’t been for this group of outsiders saving them, her fate might have been like those missing sisters, becoming human slaves. It was this somewhat dull young man who had saved her. Despite the deep shock of what she had witnessed moments ago, the kind-hearted Ruo Ma still decided to help Ah Dai keep this secret. With this in mind, Ruo Ma gently nodded.

Seeing Ruo Ma’s affirmative response, a relieved smile appeared on Ah Dai’s face, and his body slumped into Ruo Ma’s arms as he passed out.

As Ah Dai fell unconscious, his spiritual power sank into sleep, and the Guardian of Light was lifted. The anxious crowd saw the light barrier disappear and immediately rushed out.

Ya Yuan flew to Ruo Ma’s side with a flap of his wings and, looking at the collapsed Ah Dai in her arms, asked in astonishment, "What, what happened here?"

Ruo Ma hesitated for a moment before saying, "It was him, it was this human who drove away those bad guys."

Ya Yuan was shocked, having seen the display of power by the black-clothed men. Although Ah Dai was not weak, his strength paled significantly compared to theirs. Before he could ask further, Yan Shi and the others ran over, and Yan Shi picked up Ah Dai’s body, probing his meridians with his fighting energy. Everyone circled around, waiting anxiously for Yan Shi’s verdict.
