Chapter 873: Chapter 32 The First Appearance of Evil Light_2

A white light surged towards everyone, enveloping all, including the Elves, within a white protective barrier. This magic was the strongest Light Magic that Ah Dai could unleash using the Dragon’s Blood at his current stage. Among the group, only Xuan Yue knew that this magic was called Guardian of Light, a mid-level fifth-grade defensive spell from the Light category, capable of dispelling all Evil Aura and possessing significant defensive power. It was already remarkable for Ah Dai’s Magic Power to cast a third-grade spell, but with the boost from the Dragon’s Blood, he had managed to cast this fifth-grade spell. Among them, only she understood what Ah Dai was trying to do. She murmured, "Ah Dai, you mustn’t get hurt!" The Guardian of Light not only protected everyone but also isolated their hearing and vision. Yan Shi was extremely anxious and tried to rush out of the Guardian of Light to help Ah Dai but was stopped by Xuan Yue, who calmly said, "Don’t worry, he will be fine." In truth, even she did not know why she had so much faith in Ah Dai.

When the Guardian of Light successfully protected everyone, including the assassins in black clothes who were against Ah Dai, all the thieves were stunned. They couldn’t understand why Ah Dai would use magic to protect others instead of himself. The man in black said, "What do you mean by this?" He couldn’t help regretting it a little—if he had attacked while Ah Dai was casting the spell, probably Ah Dai would have already fallen.

Ah Dai turned to face the man in black with a cold expression on his face, "Nothing, I just feared the attack was too strong and might hurt my friends."

The man in black was startled. Although Ah Dai had shown strength, he had seemed no more than a skilful warrior, certainly no match for himself except for that strange white light; how could he possess such powerful abilities? Was it magic? No, at such a close distance, he would never give the enemy a chance to chant a spell. Thieves have always been known as Mage Assassins; their speed was the bane of magicians.

Meanwhile, as the man in black pondered, Ah Dai’s right hand had already reached towards his chest.

The man in black suddenly felt as if he were in the depth of a harsh winter, making him shiver involuntarily. The Ah Dai in front of him was no longer the foolish boy; his eyes glinted ferociously, and a faint grey mist kept emerging from his body, filling the surroundings with an Evil Aura. Those among the men in black who were weaker started shivering unintentionally, and the expressions of the seven who followed also showed fear.

The Evil Aura grew stronger, spreading from Ah Dai at the center. The man in black opposing Ah Dai crouched down, the chilling sensation almost unbearable. His short blade held crosswise before his chest, his body slightly bent, under the overwhelming pressure he was on the verge of attacking when the leader of the men in black suddenly shouted, "Wait." Silhouettes flashed, and the other six men in black leaped in front of Ah Dai.

Ah Dai looked at them coldly, without a trace of fear. True Qi continuously flowed from his right hand into the hilt of the Sword of Hades; a cold Evil Power filled the air around him. He now clearly felt that he could attack anytime with the Sword of Hades. "What? You want to gang up on me?"

The leader of the men in black emitted a weak blue fighting spirit, resisting the ambient Evil Aura, and said, "Young man, if I’m not wrong, you must be a descendant of the ’Nether King’."

Ah Dai nodded but did not respond.

The man in black said, "I never thought the Assassin’s Guild would start saving people. All right, today, for the account of the ’Nether King’, we admit defeat. However, you have to show us something. Otherwise, we can just kill everyone here, and probably the ’Nether King’ wouldn’t know who did it. Xiao Si, go test if his Sword of Hades is genuine."

A tall, thin man in black moved forward a few steps, winding up his short blade, focusing on Ah Dai’s right hand.

Ah Dai said mildly, "You know the Sword of Hades spares no one; it’s still not too late to leave." 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

The one called Xiao Si sneered, "’Nether King’ is indeed the continent’s top assassin, but who knows how much of his skill you have learned." After finishing his words, his body turned into a shadow, darting towards Ah Dai like lightning, fully committed with his attack—his blade aimed straight for the heart and then the throat. The thieves knew well, although they usually didn’t deal with the Assassin’s Guild, it was not an entity they could provoke. Silencing by killing remained the best solution.

A cold gleam intensified in Ah Dai’s eyes as he chanted loudly, "Nether King flashes, heaven—earth—moves—" He finally drew the most wicked sword, the Sword of Hades, for the first time, not even seeing its form himself. He felt his vitality being drawn into a pale blue point in front of him, True Qi rapidly depleting as he met the attack and vanished; the air seemed to solidify with the surging Evil Power. All the men in black lost their ability to move; the hellish pale blue light flashed by. Ah Dai appeared behind the man in black whose eyes filled with disbelief, turning grey as his body gradually wilted. Clang clang, the short blade fell to the ground, his body collapsing, now nothing more than a dried corpse.
