Chapter 867: Chapter 31: The Catastrophe of the Elves

Xuan Yue paused and said, "What are you doing? I just asked what a sex slave is. Was there really a need for such a huge reaction?"

Moon Scar, looking embarrassed, replied, "Miss Xuan Yue, you better not ask. Let’s get ready to enter the forest. Check if you’ve left anything behind in the carriage and bring it with you quickly."

Xuan Yue shook her head and said, "I haven’t forgotten anything! If you won’t tell me, I’ll ask Ah Dai. Ah Dai, tell me, what is a sex slave?"

Ah Dai shook his head in confusion and said, "I, I don’t know either! But since they are slaves, their fate must be quite tragic. The captured Elves are really pitiful."

"So there are humans who have such sympathy. This is my first time witnessing it," a somewhat icy voice came from the woods. As everyone’s gaze followed, about a dozen green figures floated out of the forest. Looking closely, the group saw that these were ten or so individuals, both male and female, slightly smaller than humans, with green plants covering their bodies as clothing, and each having two translucent wings on their backs. Most of them were holding a short green bow, and their beautiful, large eyes stared hatefully at Ah Dai and the others. Besides the wings on their backs, their most distinct feature from humans was their pointed, upright ears. A chilling murderous aura emanated from these individuals, and everyone could vaguely sense the piercing strength imbued in their arrows, as if they were ready to shoot at any moment.

Yan Shi said, "They are friends from the Elf Clan. Everyone, please don’t attack." After speaking, he took a few steps forward and addressed the leading male Elf with a bow, "Greetings, esteemed Elf brother. I am Yan Shi from the Pu Yan Clan, and I’ve come here especially to pay respects to Her Majesty the Elf Queen. May I know what has happened to make the Elves so tense?"

The leading Elf was surprised and asked, "You are Yan Shi of the Pu Yan Clan? What is your relation to Yan Fei?"

Yan Shi replied, "Yan Fei is my father. Could it be that Brother knows my father?"

The male Elf, still wary, said, "What proof do you have to confirm that you are the son of Yan Fei?"

Yan Shi smiled slightly and took out a stone-like object from his bosom and tossed it over. Ah Dai vaguely saw a few characters on the stone, which also contained quite strong energy.

Taking the stone, Yan Shi said, "This is the amulet given to me by the great Prophet Pu Lin of our Pu Yan Clan when I was born. Please take a look."

The Elf closely examined the stone and then shook his head, saying, "I don’t see anything special, but since you are so sure of your identity as a member of the Pu Yan Clan, you may enter the forest with us. Have you truly come to the Elf Forest only to meet Her Majesty the Queen?"

Yan Shi said, "Our journey is to pass through the Tian Yuan Clan’s territory to the Death Mountain Range in search of certain items. We stopped by your lands to pay a visit to Her Majesty."

A Fairy with purple hair flowing down her shoulders flew beside the male Elf and started speaking rapidly in a language that no one understood. Ah Dai guessed this must be the Elvish language.

Listening intently, the male Elf nodded repeatedly. After the Fairy had finished speaking, he hesitated before saying, "Very well, since you have a connection with the Pu Yan Clan, follow us into the forest. However, we must seal your powers with our Elf Mages until Her Majesty the Queen verifies your identities, only then can you regain your freedom."

Yan Shi frowned slightly and said with a hint of anger, "Since when has the Elf Clan treated its guests in such a manner? This is not your style! Is this Queen Xi Luo’s command?"

The male Elf stubbornly replied, "Indeed, this is Her Majesty’s command. She has ordered us to never let any outsider pass. Regardless of whether you agree, we must take you back."

As he finished speaking, the short bows in the Elves’ hands rose again, and a female Elf at the back, holding a delicate Magic Wand, emanated a faint green glow.

Xuan Yue spoke to Yan Shi, "Is this the kind and peace-loving Elf Clan you spoke of? It seems to me they are even more overbearing than the Pu Yan Clan! They want to capture us on sight."

Yan Shi replied, "Something major must have happened to the Elf Clan; otherwise, they wouldn’t act this way. Friends of the Elf Clan, please hold off, let us discuss this first." Turning to Ah Dai, he said, "Brother, we cannot cause a conflict with the Elf Clan. I think we should go along with their wishes."

Before Ah Dai could answer, Miao Fei interjected, "How can that be acceptable? If our powers are sealed, won’t we be at their mercy?"

Ah Dai looked at Yan Shi, then at Miao Fei, and addressed the lead Elf, "Elf brother, is there really no other way? We truly mean no harm."

The male Elf snorted coldly and said, "Who knows if you are thieves using the name of the Pu Yan Clan. No, we must first seal your powers before we can take you into our Elf Forest."

Then, Moon Scar stepped forward, blocking Miao Fei, and declared loudly, "Alright, we trust the Elves and will follow your lead."

Agitated, Miao Fei protested, "Moon Scar, boss, that won’t do! We can’t let them seal our powers."

Moon Scar glared at him and said, "It’s alright, I trust the Elves will not harm their friends. Come on."
