Chapter 59: Chapter 16: Brutal Girl_2

Ah Dai had already exhausted all his magic power during the test just now, and he didn’t have time to react to the arrival of the Holy Light. The radiating light instantly engulfed his body. The tremendous force pushed Ah Dai back against a wall, the Sacred Aura exploded in an instant, disintegrating the item in his hand into ashes. A piercing pain surged forth, and at this critical moment, the Sword of Hades he was wearing over his chest emitted a faint blue light, shielding his body and kept the Holy Light out with the powerful Evil Aura. Suddenly, the white jade ring on Ah Dai’s left index finger started glowing; the Holy Light was being absorbed frantically by the ring. Ah Dai felt his body lighten as the evil aura emitted by the Sword of Hades receded.

The girl cried out in surprise as she realized the magic power within her was being rapidly absorbed by the ring on the silly boy’s hand. In just a mere moment, her already limited magic power and emitted Holy Light had completely disappeared. Weakened, she fell to the ground, staring blankly at Ah Dai with wide eyes.

The white jade ring returned to its original state, leaving Ah Dai clueless about what had just happened, standing there flustered.

Kigg was stunned too and glanced at Ah Dai in amazement before utilising the remaining magic power within him to cast a Water Spirit Energy Technique on the girl.

Under the influence of the spell, a hint of blush appeared on the girl’s face, and her vitality seemed much restored. She propped herself up, staring at Ah Dai as she walked towards him, pointed at his nose, and said, "You’ve interfered with my mage’s test. You have to compensate, compensate my magic power."

Although Ah Dai wasn’t seriously injured, the initial shock had left him with a slight backache. He had watched the girl collapse, and he didn’t understand why his ring had absorbed her magic power. Filled with remorse, he quickly replied, "I am, I’m sorry, miss. I didn’t mean to. How could I compensate?"

The girl’s eyes shifted and she said, "Your ring drained all my magic power; you should give it to me as compensation."

Upon hearing that the girl wanted his ring, Ah Dai swiftly hid his left hand behind him. The ring was a gift from the strange fish, how could he willingly give it away? He stuttered, "I can’t! This ring is very important to me, I can’t give it away. Please ask for something else."

The girl stubbornly replied, "No, I want that ring." Ever since she was a child, everyone had doted on her. No matter who it was, they would reverence her greatly, and she had never not gotten what she wanted.

Kigg approached them, trying to mediate, "Miss, let it go. If it weren’t for this young man’s ring absorbing the Holy Light just now, I fear he would’ve..."

The girl glared at him, "How dare you speak? It’s all your fault. Who asked you to reflect my Holy Light? I haven’t even settled things with you yet. Don’t play the good guy."

Kigg thought to himself, if I hadn’t reflected your Holy Light, he might have been purified by now. He didn’t dare to cross this mysterious girl, so he awkwardly retreated to the side. This poor fellow is unlucky, but I better not intervene. It’s always best to look out for oneself.

Ah Dai glanced at Kigg and then at the girl, "I really can’t give you the ring, how about, how about I give you some money instead?" Offering money was already Ah Dai’s ultimate compromise; to him, a single Gold Coin could buy two hundred steamed buns! He reached into his pocket and pulled out the money bag Feng Ping had given him.

The girl huffed, "Who wants your stinking money? Fine, if you won’t give me the ring, you have to agree to a condition." This boy seemed silly; if she didn’t take advantage of him, she wouldn’t live up to her nickname - Little Witch - back home.

Ah Dai breathed a sigh of relief, as long as she didn’t want his ring, he didn’t care much about anything else, he quickly asked, "What condition?"

Her big eyes shifted again, revealing a sly glance, "I need a servant while I’m traveling on the continent. You seem capable. Just accompany me for a year, and I’ll forgive you. It’s a generous offer, right? You’re lucky to have an opportunity to follow me." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Ah Dai immediately replied, "No, I can’t agree to this condition." He needed to hurry back to Master Goris, how could he delay with the girl?

The girl just stared at Ah Dai for a while, her beautiful big eyes suddenly turned red, sniffed a few times, and then cried bitterly, "You, you’re a bully, you’re a big man bullying a little girl, you have no shame! Wah, wah..."

Seeing the girl sobbing uncontrollably, Ah Dai was taken aback, instantly panicked. In his memory, he only cried heavily when he was very upset, like when he left Master Goris and Uncle Owen died. Could it be, could it be that absorbing the girl’s magic power had upset her this much? "Ah! Miss, don’t cry, it’s my fault, it’s all my fault, please stop crying."

However, his comforting only seemed to make the girl cry harder, and perhaps tired from crying, she sat on the ground and cried even more intensely. Ah Dai looked helplessly at Kigg, but Kigg simply made a helpless gesture, indicating that he was powerless in this situation. This was not something a grand mage like him could resolve. If other people saw a little girl crying so much in the Mage Guild, they might indeed question his conduct. He just wished the girl would leave as soon as possible, but he didn’t have any way to make that happen.
