Chapter 585: Chapter 163: Insane Grim Reaper_5

Ah Dai gently placed the girl on the ground, saying to Xiao Huan, "Do not call me ’sir’ anymore, just call me Ah Dai. If you wish, you can also call me Brother Ah Dai." Without waiting for Xiao Huan’s response, he turned towards the girl, taking a deep breath of the refreshing air in the forest, seemingly regaining much of his lucidity. He had exhausted his tears last night, and venting did nothing to ease his inner grief. He muttered, "Girl, you can rest in peace now. I have already killed those who harmed you. Brother Ah Dai will never let you leave my side. I will carry you around like I did with Bing, always staying by your side, letting you watch over me, feel my warmth. Maybe, when all of our earthly concerns are dealt with, I will follow you and forever be with you all. Fire elements that fills the world, please grant me the power to burn. In my name, borrowing your power, arise, burning flames." Flames rose in Ah Dai’s hand, the color of the flame changing from cyan to blue, and from blue to purple. Ah Dai waved his hands, and the lively True Qi burst from his body, wrapping around the girl’s delicate body, slowly lifting her up under the control of his thoughts, floating in mid-air within the white light. With a fond look, he softly whispered to the girl’s floating body, "Go, girl, go to heaven. May your soul achieve eternity, we will surely meet again in the next life." The purple flame in his palm fluttered out and landed on the girl’s body, its warmth extraordinarily high. For a moment, the light of the flame enveloped the girl’s delicate body. Startled, Xiao Huan rushed to Ah Dai’s side, grabbing his clothes and shouting, "What... what are you doing? No, don’t do this! Miss—" Xiao Huan repeatedly screamed and tried to tug Ah Dai’s body, attempting to make the purple flames stop. But how could her faint strength move Ah Dai?

Ah Dai said indifferently, "I will make her stay by my side forever." A flash of cold light appeared in his eyes, the flames in his upright True Qi suddenly becoming stronger, the girl’s delicate body, enveloped in white light, turned to ashes in an instant. Ignoring Xiao Huan’s cries on the side, Ah Dai controlled the True Qi and slowly withdrew it, inside the barrier created by the white light, the ashes gradually condensed, just as it was with Bing, forming a lump the size of a fist.

Ah Dai held the girl’s ashes in his hand, he glanced coldly at Xiao Huan, saying, "Do not disturb me." With these words, he floated up and landed on a sturdy tree branch, carefully staring at the ashes in his hand. Ah Dai’s eyes grew moist again. The girl, that weak girl from his childhood, that girl who shared a dry steamed bun with him, that girl who was to become his fiancée, that girl who was the first in his heart to be more important than the steamed bun, had now become this lump of ashes. Ah Dai raised his right hand and created an illusion of a small silver blade in it, reminiscing about the past, thinking of the regretful and resentful look in the girl’s eyes when she died. The silver edge gently moved, jumping constantly between Ah Dai’s flexible fingers, his heart completely immersed in the memories of the girl during this craftsmanship-like carving.

Xiao Huan stared blankly at Ah Dai from under the tree, feeling an emptiness in her heart. Tifya was essentially her only solace, and now that this solace had vanished entirely, she felt as if she had lost everything. Nothing in the world seemed important to her anymore.
