Chapter 469: Chapter 100 Four Elements Formation_2
The invisible pressure made the four skeletons feel heavy-hearted. Just one Ah Dai was already strong enough to defeat Ice Skeleton in a single move, and it seemed that the handsome young man’s skills were not inferior to his. Faced with formidable enemies, even Blood Skeleton felt some hesitation in his heart. He took a few steps forward, smiled and said, "You two seem to be at leisure! Did you come here for a stroll?"
Ah Dai replied, "Yes! Are you all here to find us?" Even if he were slow-witted, he knew that these skeletons had come with dubious intentions. He quietly channeled his true qi, ready to respond at any moment.
Blood Skeleton said, "I heard from my younger sister, that you had taught her a lesson this morning. Admittedly, my sister is indeed unruly, but it seems you should not have needed to intervene. As her elder brothers, we naturally want to meet you, a remarkable individual who can defeat our sister in a single move."
Xuan Yue stepped out from behind Ah Dai, slightly angered by the sharpness in Blood Skeleton’s words, she countered, "You need to get it straight. Your sister was the one who provoked us this morning, that something skeleton of yours. We were just carrying out a task to escort a merchant team, and she insisted on challenging my brother. If not for that, who would care to bother dealing with her? You came here looking for trouble, so, just name the stakes. We are ready to take you on."
Blood Skeleton burst into laughter, "Good, then let us get a taste of your unique skills. We understand our own capabilities, and admit we’re no match for you in a one-on-one battle. This time, the four of us siblings will fight together."
Xuan Yue scoffed, "Ganging up are we? So shameless! Brother, don’t hold back. Knock them all down to save us future trouble."
Fearing a surprise attack from the enemy, Ah Dai pulled Xuan Yue behind him and said to Blood Skeleton, "Sir, since our two mercenary corps are undertaking the same task, I believe it would be better for us all to work together. There is no need for infighting. I don’t want to go into who was right or wrong this morning, but I hope you’ll let this matter go. It’s not beneficial for either of us to entangle ourselves in such disputes."
Blood Skeleton chuckled, "We’re just exchanging swordsmanship, what harm would it do? It’s a rare opportunity to learn from a master like you. How could we give up? Prepare for battle." Ah Dai and Xuan Yue’s strength ignited a burning desire to fight within him. The smile on his face hinted at his hidden murderous intent. No matter what Ah Dai said, he would not heed his words now.
Blood, Wind, Iron, and Ice Skeleton spread out. Blood Skeleton was weaponless; Iron Skeleton wielded a massive iron hammer, and Ice Skeleton still held the extreme ice silver lance. The three of them surrounded Ah Dai from the front. Meanwhile, Wind Skeleton drew out his longbow and a Steel-tipped Feather Arrow. From afar, he threatened Ah Dai and Xuan Yue.
Ah dai sighed in inevitability and said, "So be it. Let’s learn from each other. Brother, you stay back. I’ll handle this."
Xuan Yue nodded and replied, "Alright." Her magic could only be more powerful from a distance, and besides, there was a glaring Wind Skeleton nearby.
Ah Dai mustered a faint smile as a pale green light enveloped his body. He waved his hands in mid-air, and instantly a solid energy shield appeared in his right hand.
The smile disappeared from Blood Skeleton’s face. The hot red battle aura spilled from his body as he rubbed his hands together. Ah Dai recognized it; it was the same Fire System battle aura that Tiro once used.
Ice Skeleton raised her lance, the extreme ice battle aura constantly flushing in and out. Finally, she had a second chance to fight. Silently she told herself that she must not lose again, even if it meant dying, she had to perish together with the person who had previously humiliated her.
Iron Skeleton was bathed in a yellow light. The immense iron hammer was raised high above his head. His tiger-eyes glowed as he brandished a take-no-prisoners ferocity.
The Wind Skeleton had already drawn his longbow to its fullest extent. Green energy flickered on it. He squinted at Ah Dai, aiming the feather arrow at his chest. Among the four skeletons, although Blood Skeleton was the most adept, Wind Skeleton was notably the most dangerous. They were all fully ready to attack.
Despite being under the immense pressure from the four powerful skeletons, Ah Dai still appeared calm and composed. The golden body in his Dantian continuously supplied him with powerful life and true qi. The flow of light from the shield in his hand gave him great confidence.
Xuan Yue wasn’t idle either, she softly recited an incantation. As the four skeletons watched in astonishment, she consecutively cast two mid-level assistance Light Magic spells on Ah Dai. Ah Dai clearly felt his body become lightweight. Having been with Xuan Yue for so many days, he knew this was the effect of Light System Acceleration Art. Outside of his pale green shield, a golden aura gathered – God’s Protection, which could repel all kinds of evil energy. The scorching heat emitted from Blood Skeleton’s battle aura, and the coldness from Ice Skeleton’s battle aura, had instantly weakened significantly.
Then, Blood Skeleton made his move. He realized that he needed to prevent the opponent’s mage from further casting spells. His body glowed with a bizarre red light. He leapt high, pouncing towards Ah Dai. Both his hands swelled in mid-air, each transforming into a one-meter diameter mass of red battle aura. As it smashed towards Ah Dai, the temperature in the air rose sharply, and the surrounding trees gave off a faint burnt smell.
Having coordinated with each other for many years, just as Blood Skeleton leapt up, Iron Skeleton lunged forward. He roared and swung his iron hammer down upon Ah Dai’s head in a lethal blow. Ice Skeleton’s Extreme Ice Silver Lance seemed ghostly as she allowed the extreme ice battle energy to condense under her deliberate control. The energy was profoundly internalized, not clashing at all with Blood Skeleton’s fire-based battle aura. Three powerful attacks of distinct types came at Ah Dai simultaneously. They had all exerted their full strength. Wind Skeleton remained still, but the arrow kept its aim locked onto Ah Dai, ready to strike.
