Chapter 468: Chapter 100 Four Elements Formation_1

"Big Brother, what are you up to?" Xuan Yue watched as Ah Dai gently landed on the ground, aware that his skills had now reached a new realm, she excitedly asked.

Upon landing, Ah Dai wore a regretful expression saying, "Still not there! My grandfather could completely control his body to hover in mid-air for an extended period. But I just can’t. I can only hold it for a few seconds. I’ve reached the ninth realm of the Life Cycle too! It seems, there’s still a large gap between Grandfather’s skills and mine."

Xuan Yue smiled lightly, saying "So that’s what it’s all about! Big Brother, you should have no problem using your current power to control your body to float. Even I can do it. Watch this." After saying this, she began to silently whisper a spell, a golden light gradually emerged. Xuan Yue let out a light cry, "Rise." The golden light suddenly concentrated below, showcasing Xuan Yue’s body floating, under the radiance of the golden light.

Ah Dai was stunned, his mouth agape, watching Xuan Yue skillfully hovering in mid-air, not only did she show no signs of coming down but she was gradually rising even higher, he couldn’t help but ask, "How did you manage to do that?"

Xuan Yue chuckled, "It’s actually rather simple, you just haven’t grasped the trick. Both magic and battle aura are forms of energy, the only difference lies in the varying ways each utilizes this energy. Yet in some applications, they are interchangeable. The reason why you were able to maintain levitation for only a few seconds is primarily because you scattered all your battle aura throughout your body. Very little of this aura was used to lighten your bodyweight. This is an ideal approach for defence, but it’s inadequate for leaving the ground. You see, the reason I can float up is that I control all of my magic power and focus it beneath my feet. Utilizing Newton’s Third Law, the ground reacts to the exerted force, lifting my body completely. However, the harvest from that day when I used the Divine Healing Technique was really huge. Before, I could only utilize my magic power to raise myself three meters above the ground, but now I can soar up to ten meters with energy remaining!"

Ah Dai scratched his head and said: "You’re saying that if you fully apply the Living Fighting Aura to your feet, you can fly like you? Under Xuan Yue’s guidance, even Ah Dai’s dense mind started to grasp something."

"Yes! You can definitely do it if you try. However, our floating is entirely energy-dependent, so it can’t be sustained for too long. Compared to Wind Magicians, we fall short. They can directly use the wind elements in the air to counteract their own weight. As long as they can control the direction of the wind, they can fly anywhere they want." While speaking, Xuan Yue began to lower herself until she was floating one meter above the ground, she eagerly waited to see Ah Dai’s adept skills on generating duel energy.

Ah Dai, deeply focusing, brought forth surges of Life fighting Aura. He closed his eyes, using his mind to control the fight aura, gradually concentrating it below him. As Xuan Yue had explained, under the impact of the duel energy, his body began to levitate from the ground. Ah Dai, feeling his own body’s steady ascension, watt revealed a sense of excitement. He opened his eyes, gained control over his Fight Aura, and maintained his body at a floating height of three meters above ground. He smiled, "Now we don’t even need to worry about crossing rivers, this sensation of flying feels so good."

Xuan Yue burst into laughter, "Feels nice, doesn’t it? I gave you the hint, how will you thank me?"

Ah Dai replied, "You name it. Apart from the Promise to Goris, you can choose any memento from me. Oh yeah, now that my skills have improved so much, I’ll give you the Ring of Guardian suited for a mage. With the Ring of Guardian for protection, you should be much safer."

Xuan Yue was moved, she thought back to the fact that Ah Dai had never given her a gift before. The guardian ring signified his commitment, thus she accepted without reservations. Extending her hand, she said, "Give it here."

Ah Dai, valuing friendship above all else, unhesitatingly removed the ring that had saved him numerous times. He flicked his wrist, turning the Ring of Guardian into a beam of white light, accurately landing in Xuan Yue’s hand.

Xuan Yue was more familiar with the usage of the guardian ring than Ah Dai. She muttered a few spells and the ring instantly shrank to fit her finger. She slipped the ring onto her middle finger, her heart felt sweet and she smiled courteously, "Big Brother, thank you."

Seeing Xuan Yue so elated, Ah Dai was also overjoyed. Both just hovered there in the air, breathing in the fresh forest air, a feeling of indescribable satisfaction wafting between them.

Blood Skull, Wind Skull, Iron Skull, and Ice Skull ventured into the forest at this moment, each concealing their aura while searching for traces of Ah Dai and Xuan Yue.

While Ah Dai was discussing the sensation of levitation with Xuan Yue, he suddenly sensed four bursts of energy quickly advancing in their direction. He looked towards the direction from which these energies had originated, spotting the figures of the four skeletons, a chill instinctively ran down his spine.

The Blood Skull and the others also noticed Ah Dai and Xuan Yue, and couldn’t help but gulp in trepidation. They distinctly knew what their mid-air floating signified. In their memory, only the Northern Sword Saint could do the same, but now the two before them were calmly floating so high above them. Their initial confidence instantly wavered. Combat would be much harder against two formidable masters, especially when one of them was a mage.

Xuan Yue laughed, "Looks like trouble has arrived. Big Brother, let’s descend." Both retracted their energy and gently descended to the ground. At this point, Xuan Yue didn’t even spare a glance at these four skeletons.
