Chapter 461: Chapter 98: The Agreement of Three Moves_3
Ice Skeleton looked at the aura of True Qi emanating from Ah Dai’s body and was taken aback. Coldly, she said, "You belong to the Tian Gang Sword Sect. What is your relationship to the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang?"
Nonchalantly, Ah Dai replied, "The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang is my master’s master."
Ice Skeleton scoffed, claiming, "So you’re just a disciple twice removed from the old man Tian Gang and yet you dare to act so arrogant in front of me. A year ago, weren’t you the one who humiliated a young man who used Fire Battle Aura in Duru province?"
Ah Dai was startled for a moment and then replied, questioning,"The young man who used Fire Battle Aura?" He couldn’t help but picture Tiro in his mind, gently shaking his head saying,"To say that I humiliated him is a bit much, but we did indeed spar." The moment Ice Skeleton referred to the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang as ’old man’, Ah Dai’s inner anger raged, lighting up the Golden Body at his Dantian.
Ice Skeleton declared: "He was my junior brother. You not only humiliated him, but you are also humiliating me today. Let’s see, show me your True Battle Aura from the Tian Gang Sword Sect."
Ah Dai casually responded: "Alright, let me show you then. If I can’t defeat you within three moves, I will take my own life here and now." For the honor of the Tian Gang Sword Sect, he could not back down and effectively cut off his own retreat. A pale green light appeared in Ah Dai’s hand, fully demonstrating more powerful Solid Battle Aura under the third transformation.
Neither side moved, both seeking to build up a stronger momentum. Ah Dai’s Martial Art has already reached the ninth Realm, thus his skills were far superior to Ice Skeleton. He took a deep breath. Under his conscious control, the white True Qi completely turned into a faint green Solid Battle Aura. He was resolved to decisively defeat Ice Skeleton within the prescribed three moves.
Upon mastering Martial Arts, for the first time, Ice Skeleton felt fear. The sense of overwhelming pressure was something she had only felt in the presence of her master, the Northern Sword Saint. The ordinary-looking young man standing in front of her was like a towering mountain, showing no signs of vulnerability. Just as she was about to succumb to the pressure and attack, the immense pressure suddenly vanished and the surging True Battle Aura transformed into refined green Protective Battle Aura. Although the external pressure decreased significantly, her inner fear deepened. She could clearly feel that the seemingly ordinary young man in front of her was incredibly powerful.
Ah Dai, still immobile and wrapped in a pale green Battle Aura stood triumphantly in place. His ninth realm True Qi was indeed extraordinary, now taking on a larger volume and much greater intensity than before. Only Ah Dai could feel the energy contained within. He had never felt as confident as he did at that moment. Nor had he ever yearned for victory as desperately as he did then; within three moves, he had to defeat her.
Seeing her emerging fear, Ice Skeleton gripped her Extreme Ice Silver lance tightly and held it in front of her. She was keenly aware of the formidable opponent before her. In such a passive position, she knew she would lose, however, she felt she could withstand at least his three blows. With this thought, she stepped half a foot forward with her right leg, bending slightly at the knees into a defensive stance. As she kept her gaze on Ah Dai, her blue Battle Aura surged and pulsed at the tip of her Extreme Ice Silver Lance.
If Ice Skeleton had started with a fierce attack on Ah Dai, making him unable to fully utilize his advantage, it would be truly very difficult for him to defeat her in three moves without using the Hades Arrow. Ice Skeleton, unlike Tiro on that day, was a trusted disciple of the Northern Sword Saint and had fully received his true teachings. The Northern Sword Saint has put a lot of effort into her and a few other Skeletons. Though they were young, their skills had already reached a very high level, and were certainly no weaker than Zhou Wen, the weakest amongst the second-generation of disciples from the Tian Gang Sword Sect. Ever since her debut, she had never been defeated leading the Skeleton Mercenary Group. However, fear had set into Ice Skeleton, and it restricted her; giving Ah Dai the opportunity to fully utilize his powers.
With a loud cry, Ah Dai’s sharp cry pierced through the sky, shocking the hearts of all those present. In a flash, Ah Dai charged towards Ice Skeleton. A chill struck her heart as she knew not only her honor was at stake, but also this competition between her master and the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang. She could not lose. Instantly, she launched her full force attack, her cold blue Battle Aura violently flaring up. A soft rebuke forced an attack from the lance in her hand which transformed into a sky-full of blue light spots, these attacked Ah Dai from every conceivable angle.
Ah Dai to his amazement observed that every lance thrust by Ice Skeleton gave rise to a sharp blue Battle Aura. In just a blink of an eye, hundreds of battle auras had formed rendering all possible attack routes to him inaccessible. Frigid cold air was bearing down on him and had this been the Ah Dai from before his breakthrough of the ninth realm of Martial Art, he would have had no choice but to retreat eventually and look for an opportunity to counter. However, the Ah Dai of the present was different. Faced with the sharp blue luminescence, he did not panic in the slightest, his swift rushing body came to a sudden halt in mid-air.
Ice Skeleton was taken by surprise. It seemed as if Ah Dai had given it his all in his head-on charge, how could he suddenly come to a complete stop? Her attacks with her Extreme Ice Silver lance were all aimed based on Ah Dai’s charging speed. With his sudden halt, she felt like she had lost her balance. But her attack was already mid-air, if she were to retreat, she would become too defensive and this would eventually give rise to Ah Dai launching a fierce assault. She had no choices left and so she gritted her teeth, took a stand and headed towards Ah Dai. However, her attacks, which were full of momentum before, weakened significantly. Just as Ice Skeleton was about to leap forward, she suddenly saw a hint of a faint smile at the corner of Ah Dai’s mouth, a smile filled with a sense of victory and confidence.
