Chapter 429: Chapter 91 Xuan Yue? Xuan Re?_5

Just as they were speaking, Sheng Xie’s large head suddenly stretched forward, nudging itself between the pair and flashing its eyes at them. This instantly startled Ah Dai and Xuan Yue, interrupting whatever Xuan Yue was about to say.

Ah Dai patted Sheng Xie’s large head lightly, asking, "Xiao Qie, what are you doing? You gave us quite a fright. Are your wounds healed?"

Sheng Xie’s voice echoed in Ah Dai’s heart, "Brother, I am fine. He has healed me."

Ah Dai gave Xuan Yue a grateful look, said, "Xiao Qie, you should call him Brother Xuan Re from now on, he’s my friend."

Sheng Xie paused, nodded, but was somewhat puzzled. Wasn’t Xuan Re a woman? Why did his brother want him to call her ’Brother’? But since his brother had said so, he chose to heed his words. Recognized as the most powerful creature, Sheng Xie easily pierced through Xuan Yue’s disguise using his incredible sense of aura perception.

Xuan Yue turned to Ah Dai in surprise, asked, "Can you communicate with it?"

Ah Dai nodded, "Yes, Xiao Qie is a close friend. We can communicate through thoughts."

Xuan Yue suddenly realized, "My sister once told me that you found a dragon egg in the Elf Clan. It must have hatched from there. How beautiful!"

Ah Dai gently patted Sheng Xie’s giant head, saying, "Not long after I separated from Yue Yue at the Mount Tian Gang, Sheng Xie was born. Since then, we have become good friends. He has saved my life several times. Xiao Qie, I haven’t properly thanked you. If it weren’t for you yesterday, I probably couldn’t have survived until Brother Xuan Re arrived."

Sheng Xie lowered his body, rubbing his head gently against Ah Dai’s leg, "Brother, do we need to say thank you to each other? If it weren’t for you throwing me to safety yesterday, those few humans might have killed me. I understand the kindness you have for me, Xiao Qie, and I will naturally reciprocate your kindness. We will never be separated, Xiao Qie will always protect you."

Ah Dai’s eyes became slightly moist feeling the profound emotions conveyed by Xiao Qie. One by one, those who were good to him died, and now only Sheng Xie was by his side. He vowed to protect Sheng Xie’s safety, even if it meant dying.

Noticing the emotional change on Ah Dai’s face, Xuan Yue asked, "Big brother Ah Dai, are you alright?"

Ah Dai shook his head, "I’m fine. Oh yes, Brother Xuan Re, what were you about to say to me?"

A complicated look flashed in Xuan Yue’s eyes. She was hesitating whether to tell Ah Dai the truth when, suddenly, a white figure appeared in their sight – a magnificent white tiger was rushing towards Ah Dai. Sheng Xie stood up immediately, spreading his wings to shield Ah Dai, growling softly at the charging white tiger. An imposing aura of dragon power spread out from Sheng Xie.

The immense pressure forced the white tiger to halt in its tracks, trembling whole-body and no longer able to progress further. The white tiger looked in terror at the enormous Sheng Xie, its oppressive aura forcing it to retreat.

A hint of surprise crossed Ah Dai’s eyes. Back in Mount Tian Gang, apart from the giant spirit snake, practically every animal that encountered Sheng Xie ended up collapsing in fear. Who would have thought the white tiger persisted in standing, truly a king among beasts. He quickly stepped in front of Sheng Xie, smiling and saying, "Xiao Qie, it’s a friend, no need for this."

Sheng Xie cast a glance at the white tiger. His golden eyes seemed to shoot a solid light causing the white tiger to shudder violently. It let out a mournful howl, quickly backing off a few steps to stabilize itself, while its four legs trembled incessantly.

Looking at the state of the white tiger, Sheng Xie showed a hint of disdain, laying down arrogantly before releasing the white tiger from its intimidating stance.
