Chapter 427: Chapter 91 Xuan Yue? Xuan Re?_3

Xuan Yue sighed softly, saying, "How could I not know that your name is Ah Dai?" Realizing her slip of the tongue, she quickly tried to regain composure, "I’m Xuan Re."

Ah Dai watched Xuan Yue with a bewildered expression and asked, "Brother Xuan Re, do you know me? You look familiar, but I just can’t remember where we met before."

Xuan Yue chuckled, "Though we haven’t met, I have heard your name before. Although you don’t know me, you should at least know my twin sister."

"Your twin sister? Who is your sister...?" Ah Dai seemed to grasp something but yet was still uncertain.

Xuan Yue Exclaimed, "My sister is Xuan Yue! Don’t you even remember her?"

Ah Dai gasped, "What? You’re Yue Yue’s brother!" He sprung up from the ground, his voice raised with excitement.

Watching Ah Dai’s emotional outburst, Xuan Re chuckled internally and stood up as well. He looked at Ah Dai, his height exceeding his own, "Exactly! Do we not look alike?"

Seeing his long-lost friend’s brother unexpectedly, Ah Dai was somewhat at a loss, murmuring, "Yes...you do look alike. Brother Xuan Re, is Yue Yue... is she well?"

Xuan Yue looked at Ah Dai’s flustered face, her heart stirring, she gently asked, "Do you still remember her?"

"Of course, I remember her!" Ah Dai replied without hesitation. His heart ached from longing for Xuan Yue, and a trace of bewilderment was visible in his eyes. Meeting Xuan Yue’s astonished eyes, he mumbled, "No wonder, no wonder you looked so familiar. Turns out you are Yue Yue’s brother, Brother Xuan Re, don’t get me wrong. Yue Yue and I are just good friends. There’s nothing else."

Though Ah Dai’s last sentence stung, Xuan Yue could tell from his awkwardness that he didn’t mean it. He still remembered her! At the very least, he remembered her. With a sigh, Xuan Yue said," Brother Ah Dai, I was even worried you forgot my sister! It was she who asked me to find you."

Ah Dai was shaken, "Yue Yue... Did Yue Yue ask you to find me? Is she...is she well now?"

Xuan Yue nodded, "Yue Yue is doing well, she has been studying Light Magic under the Pope. We share the same mother, so we are the closest to each other. Yue Yue has told me all about you. It just so happened that I was traveling and she asked me to find you. Unexpectedly, I found you on the verge of being killed."

"Yue Yue is practicing magic!" Ah Dai, feeling a tinge of sadness, was reminded of their time together, the scenes replaying in front of his eyes. His vision swam with illusions of Xuan Yue’s charming smile, and her eternally stunning face appeared repeatedly before his eyes.

Watching Ah Dai’s face, Xuan Yue felt a sudden wave of emotion. Judging by his bemused expression, he seemed to have missed her.

"Brother Ah Dai, are you alright?" Xuan Yue took a deep breath, trying to calm herself before asking with a mild tone.

Ah Dai startled, shaking his head, "I’m fine. Brother Xuan Re, how did you find me so easily? Does the Church have information of my whereabouts?"

Xuan Yue chuckled lightly, shaking her head, "The Church doesn’t know your whereabouts. But, there is one thing that does, look." Saying that, she pulled out the Phoenix’s Blood from her collar.

The ruddy gem gleamed with a familiar light. Ah Dai, as if seeing that beautiful mischievous girl again, instinctively seized Xuan Yue’s shoulder and cried out excitedly, "Yue Yue."

Xuan Yue was slightly taken aback. Could Ah Dai have recognized her? She asked cautiously, "Brother Ah Dai, what’s wrong?" 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

Only then did Ah Dai realize his loss of composure, promptly releasing his grip on Xuan Yue’s hands, "I... I apologize, I’m too impulsive. I mistook you for Yue Yue once I saw the Phoenix’s Blood. You two really are similar."

Xuan Yue breathed a sigh of relief, a surge of excitement filling her heart. By now, she was sure that she was in Ah Dai’s heart. He hadn’t recognized her yet, so there was no hurry to tell him. She decided to tease him a bit. A mischievous urge, absent for three years, bubbled up in Xuan Yue’s heart. "Brother Ah Dai, it was wrong of you to grab me like that. That would have been very impolite if I was Yue Yue, don’t you think?"

Hearing Xuan Yue’s discomfort, Ah Dai’s face turned red as he mumbled, "I...I was just missing Yue Yue since it’s been so long since we’ve seen each other. Brother Xuan Re, you mustn’t tell her about this incident. I...I..."

Xuan Yue watched Ah Dai’s embarrassment, her heart filled with sympathy, "Alright, I was just teasing you. rest assured, I won’t tell Yue Yue."

Ah Dai breathed a sigh of relief, muttering, "Both you and your sister have a fondness for pranks. Right, Brother Xuan Re, you mentioned the Phoenix’s Blood helped you locate me, could you explain how?"

Xuan Yue replied, "The Phoenix’s Blood and Dragon’s Blood are divine artifacts. Their connection can help us identify one another’s location through a spell. To be honest, I am here not only because Yue Yue asked me to find you. Yue Yue also wanted to venture into the world with you. But, our father is strict on her, so she entrusted me with this task instead."
