Chapter 426: Chapter 91 Xuan Yue? Xuan Re?_2

Stroking Ah Dai’s short black hair, Xuan Yue gradually regained her inner calm. She made a silent resolve that she would never leave Ah Dai again and murmured, "Ah Dai, it’s been three years, we’ve been apart for three years already. Do you still remember Yue Yue? Yue Yue misses you so much! Ah Dai, how have you been during these three years? You must have suffered a lot, right? Yue Yue has now become a skilled practitioner of Holy Magic. From now on, I will be by your side, and I won’t let you get hurt easily. Ah Dai, do you understand my feelings for you?" Her obsessed voice echoed in the air while Xuan Yue continued to gaze affectionately at Ah Dai who lay in her arms.

What a warm, comfortable feeling! Have I died? Is Hell actually this comfortable? Ah Dai gradually came back to his senses. The warmth on his body made his weak form feel exceptionally comfortable.

Suddenly, Ah Dai caught a faint, sweet scent that felt incredibly familiar.

He slowly opened his eyes to find out it was already night. The surrounding area was enveloped in mist and he couldn’t see too far. Not far from him, a bonfire had been lit. Right next to the fire, Sheng Xie was peacefully sleeping. Ah! So, I’m not dead. He realized that his head was resting on something soft and, impulsively, lifted his head to look. That’s when he discovered he was actually lying with his head on someone’s thigh. He recalled what had happened earlier; a golden light had blocked an attack from destroying him with its dark energy. Just before the light appeared, it seemed a familiar voice had screamed "No".

Ah Dai tried to clear his head. He discovered that some of his True Qi had returned. Without thinking, he sat up and carefully looked at the person next to him. A familiar face came into view; his head had been resting on a young man’s thigh. The young man appeared to be somewhat thin, dressed in a Ritual Robe from the Church. His long blue hair was combed back and he had a blue headband about two fingers wide on his forehead. His eyes were shut and his long eyelashes rested on his eyelids as he leaned against a tree trunk, asleep. His handsome face wore a faint smile as if he was happy about something. His handsome appearance was so familiar, but Ah Dai was sure he didn’t know any young men from the Church other than Xuan Yue. Who was he? Why had he saved Ah Dai’s life? Well, it didn’t matter, since he had saved Ah Dai, he must not be an enemy. Gratitude welled up in Ah Dai’s heart. He crossed his legs and sat opposite the youth, beginning to meditate.

In the morning, Xuan Yue was the first to wake up. She didn’t know when she had fallen asleep the night before. She opened her eyes and saw Ah Dai meditating right across from her. Ah! He must have seen me. Her face turned pink and her heartbeat quickened. She wondered if Ah Dai had recognized her last night. If he had seen through her disguise, should she admit it? No, she couldn’t admit it. They’d been apart for so long, who knew whether he remembered her or not? It was better to tease him first, with a different identity, and if he truly liked her, she’d tell him the truth. But how would Ah Dai recognize her? He’d always been slow-witted. In the past three years, Xuan Yue had changed a lot. Not only had her appearance matured, but she’d also grown taller by more than ten centimeters, and she was disguised as a boy. Even if Ah Dai was very clever, it would not be easy for him to recognize her. Xuan Yue was worrying needlessly.

Looking at the faint white glow emanating from Ah Dai’s body, Xuan Yue could clearly sense Ah Dai’s strength. Three years had passed, and his skills had also improved substantially!

After meditating all night, Ah Dai’s Silver Body had finally returned to its original state. He let out a breath and, before even opening his eyes, felt an intense gaze fixed on him. He instinctively used True Qi to protect his body and then opened his eyes. The stealthy attack from the group led by Mie had made Ah Dai much more wary.

The first thing he saw was a pair of clear blue eyes looking straight at him. The moment he opened his eyes, the blue eyes shrank back a bit. Ah Dai took a good look; the young priest was just in front of him.

The first time they looked at each other after three years was a bit awkward. After a while, they just stared at each other in silence, neither saying a word.

"Um..." Sheng Xie’s moans broke their trance and they both looked towards him at the same time. They saw his massive body turn over and then he comfortably fell asleep again.

Ah Dai shook his head helplessly and said, "You’ve slept so long, haven’t you had enough sleep yet?" He turned back to look at the young priest with the familiar and gentle face in front of him, feeling significantly more relaxed, and tentatively asked, "You, hello, were you the one who saved me last night?"

Xuan Yue couldn’t help but chuckle at Ah Dai’s foolish look. Although he didn’t recognize her, which considerably eased her nervousness, she also felt a little disappointed. Nodding lightly, she deliberately lowered her voice a bit and said, "Yes, had I not arrived just in time yesterday, you would have been in great danger. Who were those people yesterday? Why did they want to kill you?"

Ah Dai showed his gratitude and sincerely said, "Thank you. Those people yesterday were assassins from the Assassin’s Guild, I hadn’t expected them to be so powerful. My name is Ah Dai, may I know your name..."
